Very wrong assumption and myopic!
You only make sense as regards the quotes.

Ambode issue is far different from how you sees it, YOU'RE NOT WELL INFORMED.

The bravery he proved actually haunted him down. Someone that fought since assumption of office grin.
THOSE THAT KNOWS WILL UNDERSTAND THIS STATEMENT
I would have bought out 20 of the 24 or so LASG HOA, buy out the judiciary, and rendered my opponents incapacitated. Yes, with good money, you can buy ANYONE in Nigeria's political space. Everyone has his price angry

And we have seen where cowardice has led
General Oladipo Diya who genuflected before a major so that he woulld be allowed live. He is now more or less a living DEAD.
We are also seeing where cowardice is leading Mr. BAT; to obvious shame, forced SILENCE and opprobrium. Only the DEAD is always silent.

Can you now see the point the OP is making?
There is a vertical relationship between COWARDICE and DEATH. Only the brave is allowed by nature to LIVE.
One thing you don't understand is, SILENCE is feared more than EXPLOSIVE THREAT.

You can't deduce what a SILENT MAN is up to. IT'S NOT COWARDICE

Earlier yesterday, I learnt that former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode have been finally denied the Lagos East Senatorial seat ticket of APC, the party he so cowardly stuck to to avaod being "dealt with". Unfortunately, that is the fate of a coward. No woman should respect a coward, if you are married to one, please threaten him to change because he cannot protect you.

Seeing how Obaseki is handling the godfather issue in Edo and fighting like a man, I can only conclude that Ambode chickening out was a very wrong move. Bullies succeed because their victims chicken out easily. Most bullies are cowards, that is what we are seeing in Edo today. Win or lose ... remain a fighter. History will always be on the side of the brave. Look what becomes of a former executive Governor of Lagos because he was too scared to fight back. If some of us had the powers of an executive governor and Lagos State for that matter, who was in charge of average of N60Billion monthly IGR, even the FG will not be able to defeat me. I would have bought out 20 of the 24 or so LASG HOA, buy out the judiciary, and rendered my opponents incapacitated. Yes, with good money, you can buy ANYONE in Nigeria's political space. Everyone has his price and the executive governor had the money, power and all that was missing was COURAGE. Unfortunately, cowards like Ambode even if given the power of a president would still chicken out. Sad!

To fully understand who cowards really are, lets us check what the great ones said about cowards and the concept of cowardice as well legacies of cowards:

Few Things for our Youth to Learn

1. Face your challenges, do not run from them. If you do, your bullies will be empowered but if you face them, you would be surprise as they fade away. Hear this:
“If you run from enemy fire, it will make you wash dishes for the rest of your life!” grin ― Naoki Urasawa, 20th Century Boys, 19

“That was the thing to remember about all monsters, They love to frighten people, but the minute you stare them down, they turn tail and run.”
― Jeanette Walls
“A man that flies from his fear may find that he has only taken a short cut to meet it.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Children of Húrin

2. Cowards cannot claim to love, they are selfish and cannot fight for their beliefs which oftentimes are the right things to do. As said by these men and women of honour:
“A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

"Cowardice is a trait wherein excessive fear prevents an individual from taking a risk or facing danger. It is the opposite of courage. As a label, "cowardice" indicates a failure of character in the face of a challenge. One who succumbs to cowardice is known as a coward. ... and that the bulwark of his historical evidence" – S.L.A. Marshall's

“Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.” ― William Shakespeare, Measure for Measure

3. Cowards seek easy way out and comprise by making peace with treacherous opponent even when in position to face such threats
“Tolerance of intolerance is cowardice.” ― Ayaan Hirsi Ali

4. Cowards look the other way, thinking afterall, the treath is not targetted at me or mine. Soon, they realise they were wrong:
“In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up for me.” ― Martin Niemöller

5. Cowards always end up finding themselves hounded by their worst fear - capture and disgrace

“There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general:
(1) Recklessness, which leads to destruction;
(2) cowardice, which leads to capture;
(3) a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults;
(4) a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame;
(5) over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble.”
― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

“Fear of ridicule begets the worst cowardice.” ― André Gide

“Cowardice rightly understood begins with selfishness and ends with shame.” ― José Rizal, Noli Me Tángere [Touch Me Not]

6. Cowards look for excuse and oftentimes place the blame on others or something instead of accepting responsibilities:
“I do not wish to be a coward like the father of mankind and throw the blame upon a woman.” ― Ouida, Wanda, Countess von Szalras.

7. Cowards die in regrets and you can guess even Heaven will have no respect for such
“But often life asks much of you, and you either honor life by answering with all your heart, or you cower your way into your grave.” ― James Clemens, Hinterland

8. God does not respect the coward, rather God encourages the brave and courageus. So, God is always with the brave, not the cowards
"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. - Deut 31:6

“One must pray first, but afterward one must help oneself. God does not care for cowards. - --"Wanda” ― Ouida

9. Leadership should be the exclusive preserve of the brave. The cowards are amongst the masses
“That gutless pack of hyenas called the masses.” ― Marty Rubin

10. All progress the world has made is a function of bravery. Bravery informed a man flying an object that could end his life and change human traveling, bravery made men to push beyond the ordinary, etc
“All progress begins with the brave, not the spineless coward.” ― Abhijit Naskar, Revolution Indomable

Are Nigerians brave or cowards? Hear the answer from a Nigerian
“Brave men outshine cowards, but cowards sometimes outlive them. Many cowards have had the honour to read the funeral orations of many brave men.” ― Nkwachukwu Ogbuagu

"We no wan die, we no wan quench, so police can wipe your ass and you will stand like zombie - Fela Anikulapo Kuti"

We care more about living even if we are merely existing. That is the Nigerian masses - COWARDS!

That was an inspiring and good read bro. Copied & pasted to my notepad.

Zik ran away to avoid being caught in a coup.

Ojukwu ran away after using 1 million Igbo for barbeque.

Nnamdi Cownu ran away after thousands of his followers were swallowed by Buratai and his pythons

Those three are the SI unit of cowardice and treachery

Akinwunmi Ambode contested APC primaries and lost to the incumbent, BOS. You expected him to bring the roof down, that gave him power against all odds in 2015? Albeit, you expected the party, APC to compensate him with the vacant Lagos East Senatorial Seat in the Upper Chamber, right? Under which merit? As a Former Governor who lost in primaries? Many questions begging for answers.

It is time to coin a new word..

As both Ojukwu and Kanu are known cowards

Ojukwu- Kanu = Ojukwa meaning coward

E.g Ojukwa ( Coward) don't have balls

Ojukwa ( Coward ) dies many times....

Upper Iweka people are known Ojukwa ( Coward)

The party owns the structure n wherewithal n u expect him to fight the system that brought him,do u think he will win?
u people are hailing obaseki to his political doom n we will see what becomes of him

u want just 1 ambode to fight the whole party delegates, elders, stakeholders just to prove a point to u right?where are those u hailed in d past, Dino, Saraki, Adeleke, fayose n co.

By the time obaseki losses d election n he's been tried in court then u will know ambode is wise, after all he's a free man today n he's enjoying his loot

I can't just help but laugh after reading this trash by the OP. No surprises though, an average Ibo man has an inbuilt mentality of "whatever I cannot have, no one else would have it"
They're simply calling Ambode a coward for not going the Obaseki route and setting the State on a path of destruction because of his 2nd term ambition, or his refusal to join their favourite party PDP to contest an election PDP has never won in Lagos, even Obasanjo the most brutal of them with federal might couldn't take Lagos to PDP despite calling the 2003 election a "do-or-die"
Ambode simply did the honorable thing(I know you Ibos don't have any honour) and refused to fight a battle he would never win unlike Ojukwu who decided to go into a battle he knew he can't win, and you're still suffering the aftermath till today.
The way Ibos mistake stupidity for bravery doesn't come as a surprise because people like Kanu and Ojukwu,(people who abandoned their struggles in the heat of the moment) are brave according to them while people who fought and paid the the ultimate price for what they believe in (MKO, Victor Banjo, Kudirat Abiola) are the cowards according to their own definitions.
Funny enough, if we're to go memory lane, a good number of popularly acclaimed brave men and women we've had in this country are Yorubas - Dele Giwa, Fela Kuti, MKO, Victor Banjo, Funmilayo Kuti, Kudirat Abiola, Benjamin Adekunle, etc. Can anyone mention a single Ibo man/woman whose antecedents qualify him/her to be so-called?
Yet, they will be disturbing everyone when no single one of them have made any exploits worthy of mention. I haven't seen such irrational, treacherous and hypocritical beings anywhere on planet earth, tueeeeh!
