mamaafrik:Would you rather preferred foreigners were engaged for the "labour work" so you shout that "common labour work, they bring foreigner"? Or, would you expect people without the necessary qualifications engaged in the top echelon of the project just because they are Nigerians? |

When you seek against or support of any government it all for good. Stop making it look as if when they construct the rail finish.. it's only Yoruba or hausa that will be allow onboard. After all the man in charge of this project is not even a Yoruba or hausa.. make sensable comments please 2 Likes |

Ventura1: If we could, there wouldn't have been the need for the Chinese. We don't have any functional steel complex in Nigeria, so we have to import from oversea. It's a shame that Nigeria doesn't have a steel complex and then we want to build infrastructures. I don't blame Amaechi for anything. The government needs to deliver trains for effective transportation and since we can't manufacture the trains and tracks as we don't have steel and also because we have no money to import at our terms, we must borrow. Since China is the only country willing to assist, from her then we borrowed. All this talk is unnecessary. Lets not default on the loan and we'd be perfectly fine. |

United States is indebted to China to the tune of over $1.1 trillion. Is China colonising the Americans too? The Chinese banks are the highest mortgage lender to the EU. Are they going to colonise the EU? It’s ok to burrow money to do business or build money making infrastructure. We should only worry if the contracts are being inflated or some people diverting the money. Awol1: 1 Like 1 Share |

That was how these people started that useless probe during Yar'Adua regime and stopped the investment in the power sector that was ongoing. Many of those equipment got stuck with customs because these people do not know when not to play politics with important national issues. 2 Likes 1 Share |
