Celebrating failure, that's my opinion on it.

A Divorce = A failed marriage
No more, no less...

And it's not surprising that it's usually women doing these divorce celebrations. The ex-husband may probably be getting his cöck sucked by another woman already, all without the need for theatrics.

There’s nothing wrong in celebrating a divorce, some are in very toxic marriages and they are very happy that has been removed from their life. Some are also happy that they had the courage and bravery to leave a toxic marriage even when society bullies you to stay and endure. I don’t see it as celebrating ‘failure’, I see it as celebrating life and being hopeful for a better future. You only live once.

Celebrating divorce is celebrating a failed marriage.

I would wonder someone who celebrates a failed WAEC, sack at work, an extra year, a failed final exam etc.

While divorce is not the end of life nor should a divorcee 'mourn' the death of their marriage forever, there is nothing to celebrate.

Maybe celebrating freedom after surviving an abusive marriage, just saying

It is not a time of celebration, it is a time of sober reflection.

Point.

It's an overkill - that need to want to prove you're happy when no one is really checking, is a psychological overcompensation for much deeper issues.

I reckon such celebrations as the 'posh' equivalent of "Shalaye", which should be resisted. Lol

Those that have experienced a toxic marriage either first hand or second hand would truly understand. While we frown at divorce in this part of the world, it is sometimes the best way forward for some turbulent unions.

They say whoever wears the shoe know where it hurts....I mostly tend to just celebrate with whoever is celebrating biko. I've seen a guy pop serious champaign after he finally separated from his barely one year wife...he said it was the longest and hardest year of his life. Guy developed high blood pressure that he's still managing till now in just one year fa...It is well. May God biko just help us o.

The feminist agenda ! This set of people even celebrate failure, some feminist are talented idiots, they do everything to the extreme. I won't be surprised if the new generation of feminists cry and weep when they give birth to a male child.
