Last year I really wanted to join the Nigerian army. The passion was there. Now I have lost 95% interest. Well let me check if am within the age limit. If Dem shortlist me fine, if not, I no send again. Am taking software development more serious now and moreover, I have done far with it.

For the issue of the site having problems, for all i can say, it's still in a premature phase hence, subject to testing and updating, but look on the bright side, registration ends on the 29th of Sept. It's not a first come-first serve affair. So, for the new comers, use that to ur advantage and make up ur mind on what u want....for the old goers, that time of the year has come for you to guide them through, una know as em questions dey be.
P.S. Gen. Ugo, Sikowitz, and the likes of others...thank you for holding the fort till now....this 47 must favour us (without gate-crashing)

I just clicked on the site now and I noticed that the hamburger menu is not working self. From the site design, I can do far more better job than the software engineers there. I have the knowledge but I studied mechanical engineering. I can't just apply to that side.

lol as a UI designer I can design a much better and user friendly site... but let’s put into account that the army is trying and this is a new website... it was a make shift site that was probably thought of last minute.. give them some credit..
They were still thinking about using the old site about 3 weeks ago so let’s cut then some slack.. the hamburger menu hasn’t worked since the first day.. I don’t think they employed a UI designer to design the site doe.. I think they are just running code..oh and I studied international relations but learnt how to design and code.

lol bro just don’t bother applying... you’d earn so much more doing software... lol what I earn now is probably what I’d start earning after 3-5 years in the army..but it was never about the money... or the uniform..I don’t think a person can lose passion..if you are passionate about something it burns in you till you die.. you were just interested...

Thank God o. And I wanted to fill in my house. The go to a cafe later to print out.

eclipsehemmy:
the site is easy if you understand it. Unlike the last one which has alot of pages ,this one is just one. The problem is don't leave the page till you finish o because no continue, you go need start again. Reason I no like the generating application number before the complete registration. The moment you save and continue it wouldn't carry you back o, we all should take note and they didn't ask for BVN sef ......I only saw ikeja as centre in Lagos sef though I no go through as I kuku don see ikeja

Good morning.

I saved my application last night to continue this morning, however, I'm now having a hard time submitting the application as the operator keeps responding with "NOT PERMITTED" each time I click the submit button.

Please, if you have any solution(s), kindly help me out.

Thank you.

oh in that case keep trying... since you’ve saved it you are just one more step away... you’d eventually be able to submit

So I had a thought speaking with Jelraj.. the exams that we’d be going for might just be objectives...as I don’t see how they want to mark full exam with essay nation wide in 2/3 weeks to shortlist...there’s be 2 exams.. the first one and the normal one that we write in screening .. if this is true, ready your HB pencil and be hopeful you’d make the first list.

I can relate to that. I told my mum about it already and she went haywire on the phone cheesy
They're not even willing to make a single phone call for me coz of army grin. I'm the real definition of OYO (on your own)
They really don't understand that we don't understand the passion in us for this job.

I've said it times without numbers, suit isn't for me and I can't follow my father's footsteps

I'm not going even applying despite the high chances for me this year... I've dropped the ambition for army in particular despite making it far in course 46.

I see you guys are finding it difficult to apply for either SSC or DSSC. Its easy follow this steps below:

1. Click on this link or type it in your browser (google chrome is better) https://ims.army.mil.ng/public

2. Under careers, select *SSC/DSSC application*

3. Read d instructions carefully and then click on *Apply Now*

4. A popup menu will show you a DISCLAIMER
Read d instructions and tick d box telling dem dat u understand and agree with the requirement for either SSC or DSSC. After dat a question will be asked if you have Served/serving in the Armed Forces of Nigeria? Then click the suitable option.

5. A popup menu will show you that you are not permitted to access the page. No need to panic, Click on *Login*

6. On Login page, go down and click on *Sign up*

7. Then, input your Full name(first name, middlename and lastname) and valid email (preferably Gmail account) in d box provided and click *sign up*.

8. After that, check your Email Inbox and click on the link sent to you.

9. Then you can start filling you form.

Note: select the requirement that best fits you, upload valid and supporting documents And make sure u crosscheck before submitting.

*YOU CANNOT EDIT AFTER SUBMISSION*
