Right, here's my comment on the NBA debacle.

The problem with NBA banning El-rufai was the optics of the thing. All of a sudden El-rufal looks like a martyr for free speech, while the NBA looks like an organisation of Southerners bowing to pressure from angry Southerners who are still pissed about the 2015 election...to punish El Rufai for backing Buhari.

Because, make no mistake, this isn't about the people of Southern Kaduna, or the Fulani herdsmen. It's about payback, and it's only the latest chapter in the long running war between the North and the South over polticial supremacy. Many Southerners haven't forgiven and forgotten what happened in 2011 and 2015 and El-rufai, for now, is the whipping boy for their anger.

Matters are made worse by the fact that ElRufai himself has not really done much to deal with the security crisis in Kaduna state...which, let's be honest, has spiralled out of control. If he had been more proactive, he would have protected himself from being attacked for 'bias'. His lack of proactiveness on the issue has come back to haunt him.

All in all, both sides are in the wrong, and both sides need to take a chill pill, and sort out their bigotry. That's all.

They will never condemn southern Nigeria killings..Evil people... I really like the decision of NBA, letting all the politicians know that you are nothing and you are not a God.
But why is this thing paining some sets of people?
Na by force? Oh, I guess presidential ambition dented especially for someone who never even sympathise with southern Kaduna people or never even visit them. They should remember we are human beings first before religion came.
Tinubu will be laughing hard now.. The thing pain them gan ni. More dramas will still show up in that meeting.
Serious blow to him. I am sure he will still investigate who are those behind cancellation and keep them in his mind for revenge.

I agree with the first part of your submission here. For the last part which tried to lay blame on El Rufai for the killing in kaduna, I totally disagreed with that.
Facts on ground are clear. These incessant Killings in kaduna predate this El rufai era and from all indication, there is no sight that it will end any soon; it has been a recurring issues fuel by ethno-religious and political differences of the various group in kaduna. And the way out only is when the southern kaduna who are majority Christians is excised out of the state. We should not pretend not to know that the present challenge in the state is exasperated by infiltration of banditry and kidnapping currently ravaging security of the entire nation.
Besides, The present waves of killing is not only being witnessed in kaduna alone. Do we really know the number of people being killed daily in states like Niger, katsina, zamfara by those same bandit unleashing terror on kaduna people? The question is What have those other governors done to mitigate against the killing that El rufai has not? Oh yeah! those governors are not in NBA spot light because majority of those being killed are Muslims? But are there lives not matter too.? So why would someone single out El rufai
