This mention got lost jn my sea of mentions and only hit pushed up again with others quoting it

1. Get him Mittens to wear. You don't want a sucking baby, they don't like eating, AT ALL! It also ruins their dentition, so curb it while you can.

2. When he's sucking, does he get enough milk? Sometimes when the sucking is hard on them, it discourages them. Some babies are lazy suckers.
I'll advise you to pump the milk out and feed him with bottles. He should suck like 4 times a day then support with bottles.

3. He's 4m means he'll soon start complimentary feeding, he might just be looking for a change of meals. Lol.

4. Keep calm, children's feeding pattern are mostly related to growth spurts. At this age, their body metabolism determines how hungry they get so when his metabolism is in full drive, he'll eat a lot and you'll see the effect in a growth spurt. After reaching the peak of his spurt, he slows down metabolism and his feeding pattern will slow down too.

Try the bottle and see if you can rule out the sucking issue first.
If he rejects bottle, try spoon.
If he ejects both, get a formula for him and see if he'll accept it.
I know it's your dream to ebf but if the person you want to ebf for says no, maami, you have to change tactics for his sake.

I have no idea about caput, sorry.
Good luck.

Thank you so much Ma'am.
I will try expressing. My hubby wasn't in support of expressing cos he feels somehow the milk won't be fresh. But I will convince him.

As for mittens...sometimes I even wear him up to three layers of mittens on his hands... Yet he will suck comfortably with everything on as if its sugar u put on his hand... If u remove the mittens eh, you can literally squeeze out saliva from it.
And yes. The suckling drastically reduced his demand for breast.

The young man seems to be having fun.. Lol. I personally believe that you should try substituting his thumb with your nipple. In other words, when you see him sucking his thumb allow him breastfeed. Also consider timed feeding even though as much as he would take. Possibly every 3 hours...

Regarding caput what I believe he has is Cephahematoma, it will get absorbed and dissolve gradually most definitely before he's one since it is already becoming hard.

Thank you Sir.
So i should just leave the swelling like that and it will go down?

Rub aloe Vera juice on the mittens. Very bitter things.
My son sucks his hands and I must tell you its something I hate so much but dh refused me to stop him claiming hell stop on his own but he didn't.He'd never suck unless at midnight when really hungry. I suffered engorgement several times.
Recently I went gangster on him when his teeth start curving inwards.now they fell off at 4plus. Imagine!

Happy weekend blessed parents of glorious children.
Please my 8 months old DS poop greenish poo like 5 times a day before yesterday and yesterday, very unlike him. I force him to eat these days, he hasn't bring out teeth, looks healthy and very playful. But I'm beginning to get worried about the poop. Please what can I give him to stop it or it's normal.

Did u add or change his meal ? It could also be teething tho. You should mind what he eat and also the things he plays with, children at this stage tend to put whatever at sight or reach out into their mouth. Give him ORS and zinc tablet. If the pooing persist, pls take him to hospital to rule out infection.

A new mother mostly has the need to use multiple medicines after delivery both for the baby and the mother. Giving or taking these medicines properly and at the right time can be very challenging which is why you need a cardium mobile app as a mother to manage your medication.

Download the app from play store through this link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cardium.app

Thanks so much ma'am for your response, exactly what my pediatrician prescribe and said. We've gone to the hospital this evening because the poop persist but we were told to continue with ors and zinc, that if it doesn't work & he's getting weak we should bring him back because my baby was just jumping from one Dr to another trying to play with everyone he comes across but we were just taking caution because of this pandemic issue.
What I notice now is that his bum is red and he is feeling pain each time I want to clean him up. Please what can I apply to his bum, I've been using sudocream for him since he was a month old and he never had any rash. But maybe due to constant cleaning his bum is hurt. Please what can I do?

Yes she does ma though I don't change her six times daily or maybe I should use this opportunity to ask, how often do I need to change diaper daily if she doesn't poo? Yeah I'm taking her to the hospital this morning. Thank you ma'am.
Changing depends on how often he urinates to make the diaper wet. You don’t necessarily need to change after each pee but when the diaper is visually wet. And six wet diapers per day is what pediatricians say shows your baby is having enough fluid

Good evening mums.
My 5 weeks old baby keeps choking on her saliva when she’s trying to wake up. This makes breathing difficult when it happens and I have to pat her back to clear it.
What could be the cause of this and what can I do to stop reoccurrence
Hi. Did you get a remedy to this. Mine of almost 4 weeks have experienced this like three times.

My son gets this anytime he has any stooling episode. He doesn't even wear diaper anymore, I just air his bum and apply a generous amount of baby tribotan and vaseline. By the second day, it is better.

Concerning his bum, I'll suggest you avoid wearing him diaper during the day for now( just on panties) until u notice changes . Apply Moisturizer on his bum before putting on diaper eg Coconut oil, Shea Butter or jelly-like Vaseline.

But she’s outgrowing it now. It’s better now

It's normal.

Our mothers usually press it out but pediatricians will tell you to leave it, as pressing it can lead to mastitis/ infection, which isn't a funny thing at all and occurs way too often.

Just leave it.

Thanks ma’am

Good day experienced mummy here. I kindly need your assistance. I lost my wife during our first every baby birth. We have the baby(a girl) and she will be 3 months in few days time.
We have been feeding her NAN 1 since birth and up to this moment.
The NAN 1 seems not to be enough and feed her again. Please what other baby food can we start to giving her? having in mind that she has never taken breast milk before.

Sorry for the loss of your wife. May her soul Rip. May God continue to give the fortitude to bear the loss and your daughter is already blessed.

Continue feeding her the milk. You can time it and also feed at demand.

You can introduce light solids from 4ms. There are cereals that can be given from 4ms eg heinz etc. You can prep pap a little watery with enough milk, fruits e.g well pureed avocado. Potatoes can be pureed too.

All the best sir

So sorry for your loss

Please continue with the Nan, increase quantity and frequency of feeding. That is all she needs till 6 months, although I personally start pap at 5 months. However if you want to try some solids, FloraE.C has given good advice
