Are you kidding me? Difference between SSC and dssc mehn with all the explanation on this trend, u still asking this question in 2020. SSC are for combatants i.e those that wanna fight war while dssc is administrative work. If u can't find your field, then go for SSC
hotplate:
please house first and foremost let somebody help me to clerify this; what's the difference between the SSC and DSSC and also i have carefully gone through the various category of graduates needed in the DSCC and i seem not to see anyone suitable for someone who studied Biochemistry please what should i do?

What I still don't understand is, if you people are insisting irrespective of your unit i.e accounting, legal, store and all, that you will be drafted to go combat. If people in accounting and some other units that are not combat related are being drafted to combat will people in combat be drafted to do job of other units? I think each unit have there jobs. If people in non combat unit are drafted to combat who will do there job.

And being posted to Northeast doesn't translate to combat unit.
And for medicals, we know they can be among the troop because at least someone will take care of wounded soldiers.

NOTE: This are just my thoughts.

From my observations I see we have fewer ppl applying for SSC than DSSC.

A friend that just started his reg now has an application number of 640+....

But DSSC already has a thousand plus

Who wan die? Lmao...but all the same it means better chances for us ..by the end of the registration, we might have below 5000 ssc applications..but Dssc might amount 45,000 maybe more of both numbers sef

e go shock you say before the closing date application will hit over 100k+ for each Commission especially SSC because age and Course of study have already cheated alot of people that would have normally gone for DSSC. Don't mind all the people that are shouting army is a death sentence, most of them will apply secretly, the low numbers now might not be unconnected to the erratic portal. Make things stabilize first the numbers go shock u.

Is they any way I can work my way around to the rank of admiral
just like in Nigeria Army where you can join as a SSC then convert to
Regular Combatant and grow in ranks as you like.

First of all there is nothing like SSC for Navy and Airforce, you only have DSSC.
Secondly and most importantly forget about becoming an Admiral your concern should be how to enter and serve your country dutifully all other things will come after as no one even RC guys who own the Navy is assured of the rank of an Admiral
