2 Activists Killed, Many Injured As Nigeria Security Forces Invade IPOB Gathering

Two Persons have been confirmed dead, many injured and dozens arrested as Nigeria Security Forces invaded a gathering of the Indigenous People of Biafra in Enugu state and opened fire on the activists.

Family Writers Press International gathered that at the early hour of Sunday August 23, 2020, a combined team of Department of State Security Service, Nigerian Army, Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), and Mobile Police Force invaded the meeting ground of IPOB activists at Emene in Enugu state, shooting sporadically. Dozens were severely injured during the raid by Nigeria security forces.

An attempt by some of the IPOB activists to prevent the abduction of their colleagues was futile, as the Nigerian security forces reinforced more of there men with sophisticated machine guns, armored vehicle and countless number of fully loaded hilux vans. They began to disrupt the peace of the people in Eneme, as they opened fire on innocent people and destroyed many properties. The security agents also wrecked havoc on various Churches whose normal Sunday services are still in progress.

Currently, the Nigeria security forces are going from house to house, intimidating people, asking them the whereabouts of IPOB activists. More than 5 activists have been whisked away by security agents despite sustaining various level of bullet injuries.
As at the time of filing this report, Emene area of Enugu state is very hot and bloody.

I've addressed this myopic reasoning of some Nigerians in another thread concerning this matter. The next stage is inevitable, keep pushing them to carry arms, when it start you'll know that ethnic motivated war is more deadly than religiously motivated one like boko haram, especially when the ethnic group see it as "it is better to die after killing at least one or two rival group, than to be killed in Street while protesting".
Nigeria is half way in the lane of Syria and Yugoslavia, those that understand history are already buying flight ticket to escape this inevitable burial ground. It is just a matter of few years (less than 5).
Mr OP keep on riding on your ignorance, when e go start, you'll be listed as collateral damage. It doesn't matter if you are in western side of Nigeria, this time around it will affect everybody and worse is the west that will be taken by surprise. If they tell the Syrian Druze and Yazidi's in 2005 when the protesters were being killed that the Syrian war will affect them, they will laugh at you and call you senseless but now the two ethnic groups are at the brink of extinction for a war that doesn't concern them
