FairyGodmother that your upate was so sweet and detailed, God will make it easy for us amen. temmytayur and Nemzy on the contrary ehn na now the sleep dey sweet me but I still have to get up early and prepare for work , Rosebell and cinderellashoes nice work on your bags being packed and ready to go. I would prefer a leggings and top for going home just cos I know that I will still be bleeding and a leggings bottom would be more confortable for me. It shouldn't be a long ride home na. I know some of us haven't concluded our packing still so I will give us one more week of grace. Next week as you answer roll call, you must add that your bags are packed and ready to go me included . This journey we started together will end in praise.

11th is relatively still fresh. Sorry mama. All will be fine.

To get that place to heal up completely and look as though you didn’t have a C-section, ensure you keep cleaning with methylated spirit. When or if you bathe, make sure water does not touch the spot. In my own case then, was asked not to bathe for awhile. just dip towel inside warm water and clean your body thoroughly. And also take your Vitamin C judiciously. Take fruits also. Soon it will heal up. Keep cleaning! Don’t stop. That’s what does the trick.

My first was at 40 weeks plus and you are so right about the tiredness. I should do bumpy Tuesday cos my bump is now massive. I wonder if my tommy can stretch any further

After clocking 40 weeks and 5 days on the 17th of August, I went to the hospital same day which was also my antenatal day, with my box..lol..
I was ready to be induced, I was induced with my first child as well, didn't fall into labour then too.

My gynae was reluctant to admit me, he wanted me to still wait for like 3 days, but I insisted cos I was so tired and maternity leave was already counting.. After much deliberations , he eventually agreed to admit me. He stated the induction will start by 2am. Entered my room at about 4pm..was actually becoming nervous cos I didn't know their induction style in the hospital (didn't use it the first time).
After plenty thinking and prayer, i slept off around 12 am, and at about 2am sharp, the team of inductors knocked on my door and I was legit shivering. I was taken to a general ward where the procedure would be done..they started around 2.30.
1. I was given Castor oil mixed with milk.
2. Buscopan injection
3. A tablet was inserted in my anus.
4. Another tablet in my vagina.
People of God, started feeling the effect around 3am and the labour progressed as I kept dilating..till I reached 8cm and the pain became unbearable..at a point, I removed all my clothes.. And was scratching the wall like a mad woman.. My bumbum was hot.. But the nurses and midwife were god sent..they kept rubbing my back and holding my hand..it got to a point I couldn't walk again..they quickly 'towed' me into the delivery room.

The real show

Immediately i laid down and hung my legs, I started feeling like baby's head was coming with a strong urge to push. They kept checking and telling me not to push yet..I was combining pain with holding urge to push..chai!
After like another 5 mins I was screaming and begging them to let me push, so when they checked again, I was fully dilated and asked to push, after my first attempt, they found out my babys head was big so they cut me(very sharp pain), and the baby came out at exactly 7.30am.
Plus placenta after 2mins..
I was stitched afterwards..very painful as the anesthesia didn't work at all..felt the neddle going in and out of my vagina flesh(crazy pain).
It wasn't easy but worth it.
Baby girl weighed 3.7KG..born on the 18th of August. at 7.30 am.
Safe delivery to all the mothers in waiting.

Congratulations and welcome to world babygirl...my sons birthday mate.

Cappo I'm taking it a day at a time now. I think this is the hardest part of the journey for me. The night vigil and the waist and back pain continues.
My doctor was not ok with the baby's weight shown from the scan I took last week so I've been referred to a diagnostic centre for another scan. According to him I've been measuring bigger at each antenatal appointment. My bump is quite big and I look like I'm going to pop soon even.
Hopefully the sonographer was wrong? Is it normal to have a big bump with a small baby? I hope all is well.

Honestly mama, as a stm, theres nothing you can do than to embrace your package. You can try to eat in smaller qty and dont drink water immediately after eating. My nausea lasts for about 3 months and goes away as it progresses. That's the price we pay for motherhood.

Thanks for the advice ma, I will try that, in as much I don't drink ordinary water, I only take it cold or hot

This group used to be very lively with daily activities and information some years ago. I've gone through previous pages and seen that some mamas had complained/tried to revive these activities but weren't very successful
Weekly activities used to include
Prayer Monday (Open to all religions/beliefs; mothers and fathers alike lead us in prayers)
Bumpy Tuesday (Mamas share pictures of their growing bumps. For privacy you can choose to cut out your face)
Wednesday is free for any topic/lectures
Thursday thread cuties (mothers/fathers post pictures of their newborns/birthday celebrants and take them down at the end of the day)
