It will be a great deal for Messi but not quite so for City. Messi is the best player no doubt, but the wages are huge for his age in football. football has totally lost it with these outrageous wages here and there.

He isn't the most decisive player in Europe!

He has failed in the biggest matches for the past 4 years.
That's not decisive.

He's still a serious playmaking force but he doesn't have the legs to decide matches solely anymore.
Have you noticed how easily he gets marked out of intense games?

i say it again MESSI IS THE MOST DECISIVE..if u dnt agree pls name ur man let the stats compare both for the last 4 years and also i want to see the player that you would name that hasn't failed and that isnt easy to mark too......am waiting...

how do you analyse football sef.... The money Messi will give the company in term of revenue is what that matter, the increase in sponsorship deal, TV right deal, everyone want to watch Messi. Even a 37years old messi is still valuable for any club financially. Why Barcelona no want let go or Laliga fighting for him... They know what they will lose...

750 m for a playerthst has passed his prime and that has probably 3yrs left ...he is 33 ...waste of money
......... . it isn't just about the number of years left for Messi at the top level.......on City's side....it is a lucrative deal irrespective of the amount they would be spending on him.......talk about the image right, talk about the tremendous increase in their fan base the deal would bring for city which will in turn increase their seasonal ticket sales.......what about the offers of sponsorship from different companies and brands city would probably be getting.......they have alot to gain than to lose economically not forgetting how much they stand to gain from just sale of his jersey.

this should probably be rumour.

no sensible club go waste such amount on a player of that age and current form.

Man city go be senseless to lavish such huge amount on a "name."

well, it better be a dream not come true sha.

What revenue? You think Messi can generate revenue's of up to $700m to Man City in the next 5 years?

Let's not forget City would have to cough out at least €698m to sign him.

Its impossible!!

It's not impossible. Stop saying thrash

Don't you think they've not made their own analysis before offering him such a deal.

Messi's move to EPL will be legendary

My club Man City still remain the richest in the world. While I like Messi to join us,Pep should also know that the most important thing city is lacking is strong defence. They need to work on their defence and source for a strong defenders.

I'm not a City fan but I know City's executives know football. I'm sure they'll buy defenders. Specifically, they'll sign Koulibaly from Napoli.

City can spend more than €200 million on transfer this year and still not enter Uefa's FFP net. The rules has been reduced this year because of the Pandemic.

You even have time to respond to a people who think they know or understand business more than a white man who appraoches almost everything scientifically. You think they are stupid to bring out such money if they have not done their due diligence and held series of meetings in simulating possible outcomes?

When you're the best at what you does, your value will always speaks for itself.

When you does something no one else has ever done before, you surely gets rewards which no one else has ever had.

Messi is simply the best in history, because I so not any players in the near future that would be highly rated, valuable and gets paid as him.

Even when he didn't had the best of seasons his stock still rises as much as ever above to that of his competitors.

That's more than some club's net worth. What even is City's net worth?

I'm sure their owner won't mind using his personal funds to finance the deal.

This is embarrassing, man. The last time Messi was decisive was 5 years ago (2015), the same year Barcelona last won UCL. Messi is easily marked out in big games since Neymar left Barcelona and has since been referred to as 'bottling' in the big games.

Within the past 5 years, clubs have staged shocking comebacks against Barcelona, humiliated the time and got taken out mostly in QF rounds. Messi is nowhere near decisive and does not make the top 5 across Europe. We have heard this is the wake of Barcelona's humiliation at the hands of Liverpool where he was compared to Ronaldo. We still heard this when Bayern humiliated Barcelona.

Ignore the report for a minute and smell the coffee; NO CLUB WILL SIGN MESSI FOR THE SAID AMOUNT, NOT EVEN CITY. MESSI IS OLD AND DOESN'T HAVE MUCH TO OFFER.
