From Fanshawe. What are your thoughts guys, looks too good to be true

My e-mail was not tailored assuming that your program start date is September 2020. I know that you are enrolled for January 2021 intake. I have just made a suggestion for you to start in September 2020 as you already have the stage 1 approval.

What happens if by the time my programme commences I am still yet to receive my study permit and all I have is my stage 1 approval? I assume there is the option of commencing my programme online.

-Most probably, your program will start online also in January 2021 and you can start on-line with your stage 1 approval.

I already paid my deposit for the 1st semester; do I have to pay any additional fees to commence my programme online when the time comes?
-You don’t have to make additional payments.

What happens where I end up with a refusal having commenced the online programme?
-If you get a refusal you can apply for refund.

Will I be entitled to a full refund if this situation arises?
-You can get full refund with CAD 250 admission fee deduction

At what point will it be advisable to defer my admission if I choose not to commence my programme online?
-You can chose to defer to a future intake if you don’t prefer to start on-line but please note that your studies done in your home country on-line are counted towards your PGWP. Many students prefer to study at least one semester online to save the living expenses.

@JustMellow

Thanks for your input sir. I think the SOP covered important areas and @zill001 has added some comments yesterday. I'll really appreciate it if you can help me review and suggest which areas she should revise.

JustMellow:

Hello Daalade1,

I think the VO's discretion was enmeshed with too much emotional fact(s) in reaching a decision.

The VO pointed to the SOP. If for sure every areas was was covered by the letter without any contradictions of whatsoever, I will say this is a case more likely to be successful if it goes to Judicial Review especially if the resources is available.

Another option is to re-work on the SOP and refile.

All the best.

Hello,

This is contrary to what Fanshawe just sent to me. Kindly copy and paste the content of their email to you? I just did on my last post.

lighthousearc:
This AIP thingy eeh you're on your own ooo, no follow mouth and no follow crowd....No one is paying anyone's tuition here and nobody sabi pass.

BUT FOR ME! i rather defer, get a rejection or approval with my money intact than play 50/50 chances with my AIP when Fanshawe College clearly stated i'm not allowed to start online classes without my SP because they won't refund if for any reason I get denied.

I'm just gonna sit and watch how this AIP thingy unfolds.....Highest if na rejection i have my cash intact na to reapply or stay back in Europe than make person dey tell me eeyah sorry oo.

@Godblesmyhustle

This is funny but I think you're right because her SOP is not that bad. Please, how can she request for the judicial review? Thanks!

She needs to get an immigration lawyer in Canada who will file the judicial review for her. Mine charged $5k but if the case ends in first stage she will pay $750

$430 for medicals? shocked shocked shocked. Haba na. That's over N120,000. Is it IOM that charges that amount or what? That's serious.

Should be more than even. You don’t do medicals here unless instructed by the embassy or you shall waste your money. No matter how desperate you are, chill Till the embassy instructs you.
Our Chief Correspondence is Senegal & they control the whole Francophonie (about 14 countries) including some other countries.
If you submit paper Senegal treats your file. What these countries including us have is just IMO.
Online, Paris does but your file would somehow revert to Senegal because that’s where your passport is emitted to be stamped and biometrics.

Hello bosses in the house.
What's the difference between Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate? Also, which one is advisable for an HND holder to pursue.

Kenya VAC opens September 9th
Is this good news for paper applications ?

Wow. Nice. PresentLY, The Embassies are reopening but the VAC centers are not.
Each embassy controls it region. For instance, Senegal opened Monday 31st.
Sure Kenya has an embassy and not a VAC center so they are reopening.
I think people with paper applications can check in at the courrier service.

Hello everyone

Please I'll appreciate if someone can provide a response to my question.

I made a post last month saying that I deffered my admission to September 2021 and I was advised to wait for sometime. I just got the new letter of admission from my school but I'm skeptical about sending it via webform cause I don't know how it will affect my application (since I already received my AIP).

To my question, is now a good time to forward the new LOA via webform and if not, when is the best time for me to forward it?

Thank you.

I see this as a clear case of disfavor.. She's obviously qualified but the VO perceived her personality in a negative light.. While judicial review is credible, I'll advice she writes a very subtle LOE expressing herself better.. Why drag and waste funds if you can handle it differently?

Having the opportunity to see these GCMS Notes before final decision is given seems to me like an advantage, so people can address the concerns on same application fee instead of applying again

@frankrobbn1 @Lekiboboe @rebeccausoro @Osemigho @JustMellow

A friend's study permit application has been denied unofficially. Her first application was refused in 2019 because the proposed 2 years diploma program (Database Administration) "is available for less online or in closer geographical location." She upgraded to Graduate Diploma and reapplied on May 29, 2020.

St. Lawrence College, Business Analytics, Fall 2020
Paid 1st semester tuition: $12,582.70 (CAD)

Works as Manager in Hubby's company
Monthly salary is N325k
Personal account balance is N10m plus

GCMS Note received today shows: REFUSED

Her husband wants me to help them review the LOE but I am not qualified to do that. Please, can the gurus help us point out what is "self-serving" in the statement? Thanks!

Hmm, this sounds great but please, is it possible the VO rescind the refusal decision already in the record? She's even considering withdrawing the application in order to avoid getting the official refusal letter
