ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Hello house, I already got an admission to University of Winnipeg. This would be my first time applying to Canada. My question is, is it a good idea to wait till vfs opens before I apply for my study permit or it is advisable I apply now? I’m thinking of using the money for the application and medicals to do other important things until vfs opens, since no approval decision can be made yet due to the pandemic. The admission is for winter next year

You can start gathering all the documents you need now and apply online when you have everything required. You don’t have to do medicals now as it’s not compulsory yet until IRCC themselves ask of it later on and that will be when they’ve made a decision on your application. VFS Ghana is opening on Monday so I’m sure VFS Nigeria will open soon as well. I’ll advise you take your time and gather info on all the documents you need. When you have everything, there’s no harm applying even if VFS hasn’t opened. So when they eventually open, the only thing left will just be for you to do your biometrics and wait for a decision.
Or, you can choose to wait till VFS actually opens before putting in an application. The ball is in your court. But always remember, time is of the essence. You may think you have a lot of time but you really do not.

Try Conestoga. They offer admission to third class students.

Thanks boss. An agent agreed #50,000. But I was told by the agent that I am not qualified as the lowest accepted degree is second class lower. I had 3rd class.

Thanks.

Yes it was family class . But i did not give my document for that application because it was my sister who he was trying to sponsor so he just named me has her younger brother. The matter is complicated and people her asking me to expunge any ties i have with her from my application and that my uncle also. And also this is a student visa application.

Hello Aliadi2,

You may be able to straighten your claim IF a paid representative other than your uncle was used to file the application. Thereafter, an intelligent argument can then be allowed to flow against the misgivings of the representative and backed with an Affidavit of Fact to demonstrate your innocence. Don't do this if your uncle filed in the application himself. You can forge through the headway of fate and accept the outcome with bravery. This is the only dreaded way a solution and an answer can be gotten simultaneously.

All the best

Hi family, special thanks to all the wonderful contributors of this forum.

Please I will like to know if it's possible to open a GIC account in Canada from Nigeria and use it as proof of funds for living expenses.

Secondly, I run a registered business (not company) here in Nigeria and I have a corporate account with the business name. I'm also the sole signatory to the corporate account. Is it advisable to use the statement of account of the corporate account or should I move the funds to my personal account and use the statement instead?

Your contributions will be immensely appreciated. Thanks in anticipation

Thanks for the support sir, i would like to clarify somethings that you said
1. I will use a paid representative(agent) to apply for my student visa
2. And then i will let the representative argue on my behalf for the misgivings of information and i will back that with a swore affidavit of fact.
3. You then said i should not do this if my uncle file the application (are you referring to the sponsorship application or my student visa that i am about to apply for .

Question: is it possible that IRCC will seize his PR and that of his family because he tempered with information and this is fraudulent according to the IRCC website?

I don't think that is realistic, it's hard for anyone to believe, and you don't want the VAs to doubt your application.

Only if you can explain with the document that the company is planning to sponsor you.

My opinions are my own

It’s important you state your intended course.

For Academics, SSCE cert, Statement of results and Resume isn’t necessary.

For Financials, your explanation for the source of funds, is it your company or you are under an employement?

For other supporting documents, can you explain the letter of PREVIOUS employment.

I think non inclusion is a reason why "family ties" in denials are rampant..imo

Ur CGPA is not eligible for a Masters (Minimum requirements for Masters in Canada is a 2nd class Upper )

Adding the birth certificate of every member of your family isn’t necessary. They aren’t the ones traveling.

They are the same thing....
Though most times the duration is always the difference, which is sometimes caused by the Co-op attached to it

PGC - 1 year (3 semester approx.)
PGD - 2 years ( 4 Semester )

Although, there are PGC courses that are two years, For instance, a PGC in Business Mgt - Human Resources at Lambton college ONTARIO is 2 years while a PGC in International Business Management at Cambrian College, ONTARIO is 1 year

Graduate diplomas offered in Canada are typically taken following a bachelor's degree and a successful award allows progression to a master's degree. Depending on the institution, a graduate diploma in Canada may be at graduate level or bachelor's level.

Similar courses at other Canadian institutions may be termed postgraduate diplomas at graduate level and post-baccalaureate diploma at bachelor's level.

Graduate Certificate is a credential usually offered to students who have completed an average of 15 credits of graduate course work

Admission requirements vary tremendously among Canadian universities, but in general both graduate students, as well as undergraduate students having completed a Bachelor's degree, can apply to such a program. In some cases, the graduate certificate can represent part of the coursework required for obtaining a Master's degree
