andrewbaba44: If we go by Last season Fulham , Leeds, West Brom are clearly better than Boavista. If we go to the bottom half with Stoke that fields two Nigerian international and many more internationals as well as Swansea. Compare the team sheets and look at the personal if you look at the value and quality of players Boavista doesn't compete with these two teams. The championship is more physicality and speed than technicality. Different types of football emphasis. So not all players can converge technicality with physicality and then add speed. Players from the Championship regular go to the top leagues of Europe. And you will have to spend good money to prise a quality player from the Championship to any other league. Money attracts the best players that's a given. 1 Like |

andrewbaba44: Javi Garcia is very poor example he was not outstanding at City or in the EPL. Since he left city 6 years ago he has been going down hill. Who will leave Manchester city in the EPL for Russian league. That in itself tell you something about his quality. Technicality in the Championship has to be mixed with Physicality and if you can garnished with speed. This is where many of you get it wrong, physicality is not superior to technicality and neither is just pace. However, a mix of all three is overriding advantage in a player. The Championship is in general more physicality than technicality and it's fast. A player who is not used to that level of physicality and speed will struggle to use just technical ability to overcome. When Rangers played Porto over two legs they got a draw in one game and beat them. The same Rangers held Villareal over two legs to a draw. Rangers would be top level league one team in the English league. Second tiers are not rated in UEFA coefficient system and do not play in UEFA competition. So it's difficult to make that deduction. Nonetheless, the quality of players and values says something. Any yes absolutely a very big YES players and the better players follow the money. And £££€€€ is a very big factor in football. This is why the Championship is so competitive and has so much quality. It's the most financial buoyant second tier league in Europe. I asked someone to compare the season transfer expenditure budget of Fulham FC to the entire Segunda División season transfer expenditure budget. That person went quite and evaded. That very fact based observation is almost self explanatory with regards to the quality of the league. The Championship makes it very difficult for a player who doesn't have the mentality to deal with its physical intensity. You can with intensity physicality and speed overcome technicality. Not all the time depending on the quality of technical ability of players. No Championship team generally speaking will beat a top La Liga team. The technical quality is just too much again in general. But we are taking the Portuguese league not upper level of La Liga. 1 Like 1 Share |

IDENNAA: Musa left the NPFL 10 years ago!... That's enough time for him to work on his flaws and improve.. But clearly,he hasn't.. I don't see how the league contributed to that.. Players like Kanu,Mikel and Okocha played in the league too but they got better when they got to Europe... 1 Like |

komekn: I don’t have time to read the rest of what you said but concerning javi García you are saying nonsense, someone played about 30 games in a star studded city team when they won the league there and you are saying he didn’t do well ? He left for reasons best known to him ,ivanovic left Chelsea for the Russia league and lovren also left Liverpool for the same league with same team zenith I will get back to you when I read the rest newspaper you put up there |

Danielnino00: It is often said ignorance is bliss. But to know not and to think you know is more than ignorance but self induced BLINDNESS. Rafael Benitez, Nuno Santo, Frank Lampard, Daniel Farke according to you are mediocre managers. But you may say they are past managers in the Championship as you clutch at desperate straws. Philip Cocu, Slaven Bilic, Scot Parker, Vladimir Ivić, Sabri Lamouchi, Thomas Frank and Marco Bielsa (coaching mentor supremo incl.Pep Guardiola) are all mediocre coaches in the Championship. January this year AC Milan tried to sign Antonee Robinson, for £10 million he is a left back at Wigan Athletic. The deal fell through when he failed the medical irregular heart rhythm. He was not the best left back in the league and Wigan Athletic. He is currently signed with Fulham now in the EPL. Again another mediocre player from the Championship or should l talk about Jude Billings from Birmingham city just 17 years old bought by Borussia Dortmund for £25 million. Again they are all very mediocre players in the English Championship according to you. I could name more, but it should tell you to think and not to be led by emotive prejudice and dislike. For instance our own midfielder maestro Eberechi Eze soon to be SE player to fill the since empty space of JJay. Again like I said ignorance is bliss. 1 Like 1 Share |
