I’m a graduate of Mechanical Engineering, 4.56. this is what I did.

In your level 100, try as much as you can to get 4.00 cgpa. Lowest should be 3.85
Sacrifice all your business plans, dating issues, comfort, games, movies, politics and Courserep ambition etc; when you get to level 200, you'll be presented about 10 annual scholarships and if you have >3.8 your chances o acceptance is high, especially Engineering Students.
In my school, in a class of 200, only 15 are above 3.9, so this greatly maximises your scholarship approval chances, forget that minimum of "3.5" for scholarship(nnpc, Agbami, Chevron, Seplat, mtn etc) na scam, minimum is 3.75.

When you get at least two of the Scholarships, you'll get approximately 350k depending, with the 350k, use 200k to start your business or buy a gadget to enhance your skills (Laptop, camera, courses etc) this business should bring income for you, blogging start getting you some money from the 3rd-6th month I think, then the 150k use it to sort your tough Engineering courses and make A's – (out of 8 Courses, sort 4 and get sure A's, read the remaining for very well and get A-B, you'll always be on 4.6+, by year three you fit add two more Scholarships to boost your cgpa and smooth university transition)
Also buy all compulsory books and handouts while your parents support u with fees and accommodation.

Just sacrifice your level 100 for this long term strategy, 9 out of ten first class graduates got scholarships while in school and they used this money to sort and stay above their mates.

My fellow scholars no go like this post
Of course you must be brilliant and hard working to maintain your grades along side sorting along side your business.

U are right bro but its somehow to advice a fresher to sort, once he engages in it he won't bother to study anymore. The idea is nice anyway but it takes a lot of determination to work towards it.

You've never come across lecturers who are hellbent on failing you even if it the exams are open book.
I've seen smart people fail common agric and English courses all because they refused to give out 5k and 2k respectively on these courses while those who never came to school since their admission passed with A's.

Exactly.
Most annoying part of it all is some lecturers don't update their notes to fit this current timeline, using same notes they wrote down during their "glory days in UI".
You use a shorter, cleaner way to derive your answers na fail cos you didn't follow their long, nerve-wracking methods, you don't copy-paste what they said in exams they fail you and sometimes reporting them to Senate is a waste of time.
Schools education system here is far beyond redemption.

that's a fact and the only way out is highest 20k for an A in a 4 unit course, something like Thermodynamics or Applied mechanics in 3d, A or nothing else

Lol if you're a generally brilliant Student and you actively helped your mates in school, maybe you pay some money for exam leak then share the answers to them, people will help you when y'all graduate. Also as a Ptdf scholar, opportunities plenty, some of your scholars na connection make them get the scholarship so just mix up well you must see road.
Connection is for smart people, if your father isn't so connected in your field of study, you gotta work your connection bro

Nigerian youths just need clear direction and good youth leadership with exposure to open their eyes to what they're missing.

Same scenario but different outcome with chemistry.
About 85% of the faculty got an F, HOD went with course rep to ask why and her response was;
'They are all are correct but their answers are almost the same. It's like they all copied themselves'. HOD didn't challenge the results like other HODs did, the man signed it and left the issue like that.
The thing pains me whenever I think about it.
