It was fun and entertaining..... though some fight scenes were cartoonish (especially the no blood Disney policy) it was decent. Cinematography was great, sound mixing was great.. that end credits song is superb. It could have been better but it was always gonna be in its Original's shadow, since most folks will use it as a metric.

So na Mushu them turn to glorified Phoenix (abi peacock).


If it wasn't an adaption if the Animation it could have earned a 7. I don't get the hate from some viewers about the movie. I'll say it was unfulfilled expectations set by too high standards. With Disney's recent Live Actions I find it funny for one to expect so much from Disney, given such records.


Now let's wait for incoming live actions : Pinocchio, Cruella, 101 Dalmatians. etc..

Superb coming of age movie. Great acting, decent cinematography. It's got lots of heart, fun and entertaining. It's a very good watch if you're a Romantic and/or into Teenage Drama.
Looking forward to getting the sequel.




@pu7ple this definitely clears my doubts— Noah Centineo is a good Actor. Boy got range.... He's gonna do great as Atom Smasher in Black Adam. I heard he's buffed up already and looks to add more after hitting the role. Hope to see recent impressing pics of his progress.

How was it beacuse Netflix has been churning out below par movies of late and this had the same traits from the trailer.

Mulan 6/10

Was too young to realise that Mulan(the animation) was feminist themed..this is how feminist movies should be portrayed tbh..I liked the contrasts displayed between the witch hawk lady and Mulan..the fight scenes were a bit okay but the lack of gore was a little upsetting...



What I didn't like tho was that Donnie yen and Jet li were in the same movie and they didn't even have one sparing session together
Also that bastard phoenix that they used to replace Mushu.. phoenix be looking like my mum's 2 piece wrapper
And the usual 3rd act cliché "I believe Hua Mulan, I believe Hua Mulan, I believe Hua Mulan" yen yen yen
