Thank you @WhyNa

All we are waiting for now is for Vietnam to open her boarders for international flight.

We pray for a drop down in the number of covid cases there and we pray that God protects you for us.
I think it's open now

Little update....

As at today, there are only 151 active Covid-19 cases. These guys really know how to take control

Schools are back in session. It's the beginning of a new school year. Everything is back to normal although you are still required to wear a mask in public places

Flights in and out of the originating city of the second wave of the pandemic in the country has commenced. This goes further to show how well they controlled the second outbreak.

Entry for people from 6 Asian countries:. Seoul, Guangzhou, Tokyo, Taipei, Cambodia and Laos will commence on the 15th

New visas are not granted yet even for those who are in the country. The government has been giving those who their visa expired during the pandemic free extension and now, their visa has been extended till December.

Some students who got admission also said the school asked them to either study online or wait till next year.

Putting two and two together, they might not be opening borders to all countries this year. TET festival is in Jan/Feb and I'm sure they wouldn't want to keep people from celebrating due to a 3rd outbreak.

I might be wrong though as no official announcement has been made. Borders remain closed sha except people coming from the countries listed above. You can however, leave the country

The demand for teachers are still very high, the weather is becoming cooler as it's raining now. It's Autumn season

Great job @WhyNa. Read from first page to last page. May God bless and enrich you more.

I've always wanted to jet out of Nigeria and move to Canada or UK cos I have family members there doing well. But I'm intrigued by Vietnam.

Will get in touch with you and hopefully next year by God willing we see how things go.

Hey Guys, sorry for the break. It's good to see a lot of people showing interest and following. Thanks

To others, please note that the title of this thread is MY JOURNEY TO HANOI and not PLEASE ADVICE ME

Back to the journey.....

About 4 days before my trip, I was stressed. I never envisioned it to be that way cos I started on time to put my things together but there were still little things that needed attention.

I had to pack right, make sure I had the essentials, take care of personal things I was leaving behind and all. I even lost appetite and it wasn't due to excitement.

A day to my trip, I went to the bank to get my BTA, I was there when a job offer came in with accommodation and boy! I was happy.
I'm ready to join you big sis but I have some questions
what's BTA, and what was the certificate you obtained from MoE and MFA
God bless you for sharing

I would like to think so. I'm not entirely sure but after teaching, IT is the next thing I hear about

Have been following this tread since yesterday night, it even cost me alot at my work today.
Please is the a way I can get a job placement in IT. Although, have been trying to reach out to some companies over there ooo, but most of the advert is for people already in Vietnam, so a little help from someone residing over there would be easier to get one quickly.

Please help a brother out.

I will be glad if you can reach me on jagbajogbo@gmail.com

BTA is basic travel allowance. It's the cash you carry on you while traveling to help you settle in till you get a job

I didn't obtain any certificate there. I only went for authentication. Please check previous threads

Majority of the recent mails I received were asking about things that were clearly explained on page 1 and 2. Others are .....

We'll, I won't be replying those mails and it's like I said, ask your questions here so others can benefit. If it hasn't been answered before, I'll answer.

No I can't sorry. I don't want stories that touch the heart and then they come back here and say Whyna planned and dupped us.

If I was the one handling the visa processing, then I can be held accountable if something goes wrong and you can drag me my name to any length. I can't take same for someone else

Money issue no be small matter let alone the kind of money involved in this kin period of plenty. Even Vietnamese sef dey scam person
