Desmond Elliot: Edo Can Be Lagos & Godfatherism Is Not A Bad Thing by saphiere(op): 3:51am On Sep 11, 2020

Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot who is also a representative of the APC in the Lagos State house of assembly, has refuted the claim made by the governor of Edo state Godwin Obaseki, that "Edo no be Lagos." He made this know during an interview he had recently, where he discussed Pastor Ize-Iyamu's SIMPLE agenda.

Refuting this claim, the Nollywood actor said;

"Saying Edo state can never be Lagos State means that Edo state can never be as developed as Lagos State. This is very detrimental to the state itself and it's not right for a Governor to say that, because saying Edo state can never be as big and as popular as Lagos State means that he is trying to pull Edo backwards."
"Obaseki is a product of godfatherism and so I am, godfather in politics only teach you how to make people happy and rule peacefully with impact, so godfatherism will continue, " He added.

Same thing happened to Obaseki but he fought back like a real nigger. He orchestrated the removal of Oshiomhole as National Chairman of APC and he is giving him sleepless nights. That did not happen in Lagos. So, Desmond Idiot oh sorry Elliot, Edo no be Lagos.

Which godfatherism is Obaseki fighting? When him alone nominated a senatorial candidate for a zone he was not from. When openly complained about not been allowed to replace a returning House of Assembly member. For complaining not been able to make all political nominations from Edo.which godgatherism is he fighting. Governance is about development not about fighting political wars. It is your record which should fight for you not violence. He will be put in his place Sept 19.
