Bird: How Can I Save This Flying Creature? by Ugaboy(op): 8:20am On Sep 11, 2020

Greetings Nairalander, I found this bird at 5a.m, when I was tiding up the compound.

Does anyone know the name to this bird...I will like to help it stay alive or probably make it a pet.

I know it might look very small or to take care of, I don't mind...and I don't see it as a waste of resources, please any idea.

First of all, take is inside the house, wrap it in a clean handkerchief, then grind some roasted groundnut until it turns into a paste, use a match stick to fetch the paste to feed it. Good luck and keep us updated.

I think it is sparrow. A very noisy bird. It is called Ega in Yoruba.

Looks like a Quila bird, it has a deformed leg as if it's suffering from bird polio and would need to be treated first by a vet and freed
