Simple...... Turn off laptop, turn on again, into your bios screen, change your boot sequence to media, save new settings and turn off........

Though some laptops models has optional configurations at time of purchase, like optional Bluetooth, webcam, wwan/wlan. but i don't think your laptop model is of such. probook models always have Bluetooth. but have you checked if it's not being disabled from the bios level, cos if it's that's the case, you won't see it at all. since it's UK used laptop, it's possible they might have disconnected the internal Bluetooth from the system hardware, that's why it's not being detected. you can get an external Bluetooth device or dongle and use.

1 - Either the disc is empty/faulty
2 - Dvd reader mechanism is faulty


They are easy to replace....... Remove reader, try a replacement and see if it works.......

Probably there is a short circuit on the motherboard..
Take it to a laptop technician for diagnoses, if you're in lag i can fix it for you.

I don't really think it will require you to get a new motherboard though but if it comes to that depending on the model your 840 is, whether g1, g2 etc.

If you're going to replace the motherboard it will cost you over #35k now.

Till date windows 10 has upgraded many times. Some of its updates are really good but at the same time some were so devistating. I remember when the Windows 10 anniversary update came that time i had lost some of my files from the logical drive. However after a while i got my files back with the help of a Stellar Windows data recovery software.

Yes, windows 10, 32bit can be upgraded to 64bit with software disc or a usb key. You might just have to also upgrade the ram to 4gb in a 64bits windows, And all system processors have 64bits in there architecture, that means they can run 64bit programs, instructions, except your system is a very old system or a vintage. And it's not possible to change a 32bit processor to 64bit

Hp compaq nx7400 is a 2007 model. You can change the windows from a 32bits (x86) to a 64bits, it is supported

it's your cd rw drive. The lens is weak, that's why it's unable to read disc. You have to change the drive
