kosky: I know that appointment usually take 10months but yours was different because of DAAD. So I want to know how embassy knew your a DAAD scholar when applying for appointment. Did you email them and told them this or did DAAD notified them on your behalf? |

For myself I booked the appointment in February 2019 and got a date in May to come August but my son's appointment was booked in April and the change in the waiting period affected him, so his interview was scheduled for December 2019. We got approval mail from the home office since March 2020 but due to corona, it expired and it was then again re approved in September 4 Likes |

kosky:Congratulations on your Visa. I am also a DAAD scholar but I am yet to get a new date from the embassy after my first appointment was canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Kindly please guide me on how to apply for a joint Visa together with my spouse. I will be sending a mail to the consulate this coming week for rebook. Thank you |

kciano:I am the DAAD scholar and not my spouse. I am only asking of how to go about applying for my spouse re-union visa. Thanks for the information |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Ahmed4002(m): 10:52pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
segzysexy: Same as your spouse. She's also regarded as a DAAD scholar. Kindly write a mail via the DAAD portal requesting for an invitation letter for your spouse. The letter would be issued, then you can use the letter to apply for the visa. You can mail the Lagos embassy or just go to your auslander office to facilitate it 1 Like |

Hi guys, Is it possible to collect your documents back from the german embassy, in an event of an urgent need? My spouse was already interviewed for the family reunion visa earlier this month. However currently she has an urgent need for her school certificates. My question, has anyone ever asked for their urgent collection of there original documents? |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by buckkie: 5:49pm On Sep 15, 2020 |
buckkie: @nuel80 , please I recall you mentioned your verification was done in less than a month after you went for your interview at the embassy . I want to ask if your spouse is already In Germany ? I ask because my spouse did his interview since early August has he has not received any mail since then from the embassy |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by nuel80: 11:35am On Sep 16, 2020 |
My spouse is a German living in Germany, I haven’t heard anything from the embassy since my verification was done. My spouse has also not been contacted. I think there is a backlog or reason for delay. However, I am waiting patiently. buckkie: |
