it's Sunday, I'm at home not at work. Can I do that tomorrow?

By now, you should have gotten used to carrying pics of your work/project with you all the time. Save them in cloud storage if your phone don't have enough storage.

It’s a very important thing to do in this age.

Me I no too dey like designs.

materials used here are

½" square rod for the attached design.

3by1½ pipe

2by1 pipe for the interior design

9" frame.

I can't tell the guage of the pan used from a picture but I believe it will not be less than 16 guage

All these attachments makes the door more expensive.

Biko how is the the same with the picture I posted earlier. If you want something customized as that, I will make it for you too at my own price.

Ok that’s fine.

Always take as many “as built” pictures of your work. It helps a lot.

If I post any image here, I have over 20 other pictures from different angles stored in different storage locations and I also tag them for easy reference.

How much would it cost me wood work to roof a 4 bedroom all ensuite and a detached self contained bungalow. My Engr is saying btwn 500k to 600k for wood works alone,I honestly don't want to be cheated

Very fair. I spent 600k for mine with similar structure

Of course it's not the same, that's the point. The doors that we pay N40K for a vastly superior to your N18K doors, that's what I intend to show to people looking to build. We have low budget doors here too in town. I don't want people to go crazy looking for N40K doors at N18K.

This thread wasn't about advertising in the beginning but it's now gone to the Dogs. It's my intention to make sure that new members are not flimflammed about prices. This is the first time that you're admitting that you have various levels of materials and doors.

We even have cologne being advertised here now. Though I guess some of my crew onsite can use cologne after a few days grin

I remember telling you specifically that there are different materials used in my line of work. I also remember one guy asking me what guage I used and I clearly stated it was 18 guage. If you want me to use 14 guage material for you, you pay for it and I do it. Here's the materials that I use in working which can be modified for your own custom needs.

3by1½ pipe

6" frame

18mm pan.

Upon your request, I can increase or decrease the quality of the materials. I'm glad that some people already confirmed that doors go for around 17k at their location. Someone even said he got 17k offer from another welder. It's not a must that it will be expensive to be of high quality

The locks for that door should be about 18k now if not more.

I know cheap doors but this is custom-built. I bought the locks by myself.

I understand your points very clearly sir and the implication of the 18k price tag but what I feel is 18k is a good deal for whatever quality of door michlins produces.

To be fair, michlins, the price is too low to expect anything quality. I always use thick gauge in all my project which cost more than light pipes.

You need to consider most of these factors too.

I have no issues with you Sir and we can't all be the same. I am sure that your business model works for you. It won't work for me.

Good luck Sir.

PS: I don't negotiate on my services and sales and it has cost me some sales I'm sure. But my business model is to have one fixed price and some of my customers appreciate that. I cater to a specific demographics.

the locks in the attached photo I saw when I was with my boss. Someone bought a door and brought those keys. I have always made it clear that the choice of materials depends on what the customer wants. The quotation I sent to you two days ago, I gave you two options which is then left for you to choose from.

You also confirmed that you asked your welder why he will sell a door for 40k when the most expensive materials costs about 5k. Nnewi is a relatively cheap town and that affects the prices of goods and services here

I have been here trying to prove my integrity for months, I have had deals on Nairaland with no single report of crime which anyone can confirm. All these times that I sold phones, not one single person called me out as a scammer. Why should I start now.

You guys should remember that I'm still a human being and I have emotions. On a day I just want to celebrate and have fun, someone came for me again. Why can't he let today pass and come back tomorrow

I will always challenge your prices when you don't specify exactly what you are selling and try to pass it off as that your prices are better.

You are making inferior products and trying to pass it off as being equal to those costing more. You don't use stronger pressed top and side frames.

Just simply advertise that you make low cost doors. Those doors are available all over Nigeria, you're offering nothing special.

How many of those doors have you sold on here? Personally, I think you're a fraud at best but maybe just an ordinary scammer.

Don’t be angry with us.

Here if you offer us something at a ridiculously cheap price, we will ask you “How much for the original one?”

It’s left for you to convince us beyond reasonable doubt that you’re right and we are wrong.

That might require you sending a sample down to Ibadan for us to dissect grin

That’s who we are over here! We are not mean grin

if doors are extremely expensive at your end, it's not my fault that the welders are making a kill.

It's nothing personal but I hardly engage vendors from here. As off today I need at least 50 doors in the next few months, that work will go to people in my community. I just don't see the economics in shipping doors all over the country.

The only reason I'm taking your time is just to show that there's a difference between N18K doors and N40K doors. Those of us buying doors at N40K and even more have a reason.

Are N18K doors good enough to use? Of course, but don't try to make it as if you're selling N40K doors at N18K. I have an issue with that.

On that note, I'll yield the floor on these subject.

I pray things work out better for you here. I'm following you keenly and wish to business with you.
I understand where you're coming from and I can relate. The best we could do for a determined person trying to legitimately better there lot is to encourage them.
I'm aware many could afford to pay double for my products without flinching but they patronise and refer families, friends and acquaintances out of the need to show support.

if you have 40,000 you wish to spend on a single door, here's how you can get it.

1.5mm 3by1½

14 guage plain pan

16mm pan for frame

1.5mm ¾ square pipe

Foreign hinges and bolt

Anti rust will come first before normal painting

I don't see your local welder doing the bolded at all

No need arguing about price... some part of the country are Blessed with cheaper raw materials some are not...

If someone said he can do something for 5k and another charged 18k... we all need to find out why the difference in prices.

@michlin I will be coming to the East in the coming days hopefully I can pay a visit to your workshop.

We all started from somewhere.

By the way happy birthday to you.
