To be serious....Obaseki is on point...she controls the debate and copiously explained his achievement over the years and what he intends to achieve if elected as the governor of Edo State.

I respected Obaseki where he admitted one of his Agricultural scheme didn't do well but he is doing everything possible to meet up with it. That's a sign of a good leader. You admit your wrong doing and learn from it so you can get it right next time.

2ndly Ize-Iyamu kept attacking Obaseki instead of answering straight questions. While Obaseki go straight to answers without attacking Ize-Iyamu. Obaseki only shaded Oshiomole for disqualifying him.

Political debate should be based on ideology and what to offer not coming on TV to throw irrelevant tantrums on opponents. Imaging calling Obaseki wasteful management. Ize-Iyamu was busy attacking Obaseki instead of coming out to tell us what he have for Edo people.

Every where I go I see oshiomole campaigning seriously for obaseki, ize iyamu should not be too proud to congratulate him when he wins . Congrats in advance governor Godwin Obaseki

Obaseki for me.

Ize Iyamu kept ignoring the crux of the matter to attack Obaseki's person right till the very last question.

Even on national TV.

In the final lap, Ize Iyamu asked after the N2bn expended on a particular farms programme and Obaseki responded that it wasn't 2bn (false figure) and that the overall farm scheme is proceeding normally like a business would, citing herdsmen threat and fluctuating sales as the major problems. He concluded that the farmers still come back to the project every year as it is still ongoing.

In turn, Obaseki asked Ize Iyamu after his plan to raise about N500bn necessary to float his SIMPLE agenda amidst this COVID pandemic and Ize Iyamu's reply was that he isn't as wasteful as Obaseki.

Question left unanswered. Always avoiding the crux of the matter.

Even the crowd demanded raucously that he should just answer the question because they were bored with the incessant attacks on his person.

If only the election was going to be truly decided by the people's voice ...

But I have a very critical question : is there something fundamentally wrong with black man or at least Nigerians or Africans !

Both ize iyamu and obaseki tried to give the best ize was good in security, agriculture and health, obaseki good in education, jobs. Think they both give good testimony, just hope the best candidate win the election. They will both make good governance.

Obaseki lied about alot of things;his relationship with Oshiomhole. Education and jobs..

Ize-Iyamu was more convincing.

He should win...

Perhaps, you expected Ize Iyamu to join Obaseki in attacking Oshomole who is not on the ballot paper.

Obaseki admitted he Sobe farm project is a failure. He also didn't deny that the Agenebode Rice project is not a failure. Obaseki seemed to have agreed with Ize Iyamu that he Obaseki didn't do anything as he didn't make any effort to put up any defence or rejoinder even when Seun gave him that window.

I did poultry farm last year as an individual and it didnt come out well. Business is 50/50. The most important thing is to learn from your mistakes and try again. That was exactly what Obaseki said. He never denied the Sobe farm project flopped. He said he has learn and put more effort in actualization of the reality they want. If not for anything at least applaud him for saying the truth unlike other politician that will lie that it is 100% successful even when you are seeing the failure.

Meanwhile Agriculture is not like buying and selling business where you are certain of the actual profit. Even in the buying and selling business you can still lose when accident or man made hindrances occur. In Agriculture, a common cause or hindrance can rule out your yield for that particular year. He just mentioned Fulani Herdsmen, Insect infestation and ecological barrier can cause great loss in Agricultural business. Business is a risk.

He has been campaigning on a false successes in the Agric sector.

He rode on a tractor claiming to be harvesting maize when he went to campaign in Sobe. He claimed huge success in the investment. But, we know better now.

Same with other phantom projects.

Have you managed a business before (say small-scale)? If businessmen were magicians then there would no LOSS. He just stated the facts and that earned him accolades. You think Nigerians are dumb? He proved he's smart.
How can you invest in agriculture and you have 100% yield every harvest season?

The same man that has failed in a small business and many others as pointed out in the debate has also not achieved anything in projects that impact the people. He has failed the people of Edo state. He doesn't care about brain drain in the health sector. If you understand the implications of his proposed telemedicine, you will know he doesn't mean well for Edo state.

About your question directed at me, I don't think it is necessary in this context but, I run a business with annual turnover of over #100m and a workforce of over 50 personnel. I am a certified Project Manager.

Obaseki may have not performed optimally but he has set the state on the path to greatness esp.with the govt agriculture policies.

Ize Iyamu was more on a personal vendetta against Obaseki than articulating his development agenda for Edo state if he wins.Edo people should avoid anything APC.

Verdict:
Obaseki was so poor from the beginning, though he was more composed than POI. Obaseki was so pathetic till he gave a final blow with all his strength that knocked Ize Iyamu out. The HOW DO YOU INTEND TO FUND SIMPLE AGENDA question reminds me of the WHO IS BANKROLLING YOU question lol.

As for Ize Iyamu, please is there a worse than a failure and poor combined together? If there is, he will definitely be the word. The guy was busy with petitio principii all through. Any question you ask him, he either mention Obaseki or Security votes instead of answering and telling people about his plans for the state. This was how Buhari started and later ended up been clueless.

No winner and no looser either, but Ize Iyamu last last be empty barrel when dey make noise.
