Dessers and Onuachu both score a penalty as they lost 5-2 resulting from their teams’s two red cards.

Very poor start to the season. If this continues from the next few matches, then the manager’s days are numbered.

It won't have been different from the likes of others like Eze

Dude would have prefer play for England..and be using Nigeria to cruise and threaten the English FA to fetch a call up
some of us here would have been crying and calling on ROHR and NFF to do all they can to get him for the SE

Komekn would have come here like the English media mouth piece to hype him to high heavens and tell us how is better than all our wingers

One club in England would have been pricing him for 100 million pounds now

And you Mazi Omanambala would have come here to belittle him and pour out your beef with borough boys

You would have come here tell us how poor he is in the field of play and how nwakali and zubby tend to be better than him

Best comment so far

You too much jare

Oga , we will still loose them anyways
The reason is that, if NFF is even organised enough to organise U17 camps regularly. What makes you think they will abandon the thousands of talented U17 kids residing here at home and be pursuing some boy in far away France or England or wherever to bring them to camp. So your point no make any difference which ever way.

You have a point. At youth level it will be hard for foreign born players because we really have talented players that do well at that level and so the need for reinforcements is not that strong. The problem is these boys fade away at the senior level and do a Rabiu Ibrahim for us and then the foreign born have a chance. The 2007 u17 was a total waste of talent and next to that is the 2013 u17. Only a few of them (maybe 5) are still relevant.
I wonder why our youth players are not impressive at a senior level. It bothers me a lot

That's big wahala ooo, it starts small and then grows big. The French national team gives real opportunities to black players and any black player they show interest in won't be sceptical about it, unlike other European countries. NFF needs to be a step ahead in their scouting.

You dare open your mouth and say what James Rodríguez brought to Everton and compare with what iwobi can bring to the table

James Rodriguez is a world class player and you shouldn’t be surprised of what he will bring to the Everton team

Dude, when will you learn rules of engagement? Just cos some of us come on this platform to talk doesnt mean we deserve to be disrespected. What is all that? I dont recall quoting you directly. – Alex Iwobi has been told by Udeze to leave Premier League side Everton

– The Nigerian star was not listed in the first 2020/21 League game against Spurs

– Udeze stated clearly that Iwobi should look for another side as soon as possible

Alex Iwobi has been urged to leave Premier League side Everton by former Super Eagles defender Udeze who was not happy with how the 24-year-old was left out of squad against Spurs.

Everton manager Ancelotti decided not to include Alex Iwobi in his squad against Tottenham in the first game of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

This decision came as a big surprise not only for Udeze, but for many Nigerian football fans who were expecting Alex Iwobi to play against Jose Mourinho’s side.

Carlo Ancelotti however decided to use new signings James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure which ended up in a 1-0 win for them against Spurs.

While speaking with Brila FM on the outcome of the encounter, Udeze explained that Alex Iwobi should find another club before the end of the transfer window.

“I think Iwobi should look for another club especially with James Rodriguez signed it will be difficult for him to play.

“Imagine against Tottenham he did not make the bench and even the squad. So for me he should start looking for another club.

“It’s painful for me but as it is I think the best thing is for him to go elsewhere,” Udeze explained.

Iwobi joined Everton last year August from Arsenal, and the Nigerian signed a five-year contract with the side.

Earlier, Bioreports had reported how Alex Iwobi seem to be living life to the fullest as a photo of the player boarding a private jet as surfaced online heading for holidays.

This came after the 2019/20 Premier League season ended and most players returned to their home country, while others headed for some of the most exotic resorts around the globe.

Parked near the private jet was a 2020 edition of the Rolls Royce phantom as Iwobi who was holding a brief bag moved to board the plane as posted by Bioreports Footballers on Instagram.

Iwobi is one of those footballers who does not like showing off his riches, but the Lifestyle website also reported that he has a property in Lagos and some luxurious cars.

There is an iota of truth in what you said. Now taking James as an example, do you expect him to give the same performance on the wing in a defensive set up.? The few time he played as the AM,Iwobi had good performances.

So here is a question for everyone. Which do we prefer? Iwobi playing all games from the wings or him waiting on the bench to play as the AM? Because apparently, the coach doesnt see him as a 10. Isnt it better if he could make the wing play his own by working on it since that seems to be the only vacant slot for him?

I would love iwobi in the middle yes! But he hasnt been an AM in a long while. At least for the last 4years, he has been on the wings. While I dont doubt his ability to play in the middle, if he hasnt done it in a long while, his abilities will atrophy in the said position.

We have already taken note of the kid and Rohr has been monitoring him for some time now, what makes you think he won't be invited if an U17 camp is set up?

For me there are two Iwobi's one that plays exceptionally well for the SE.

And another one that is inconsistent in his club and league.

Yes, Iwobi has had some very good games but he has also had some mediocre ones. When we look at him in comparison to the above average AM like Maddison, Perez, Mount, Cantwell, then look at his goal tally and influences on the game it's poor for a AM. He has not upped his game.

On the wing he looks like a makeshift he is not exceptional.

But back to the SE, he has been very good, but unable to transfer that form to club and league football. I could say that Iwobi has not had any competition in the SE for a very long time. The only direct competition that he did have Sone Aluko was dropped.

What do you call talent?

For me talent is potential yet to be realised that needs to be nurtured and developed to become exceptional.

I have talked about the training regime in a lot of the top academies. Kick and rush has been buried and cremated in Englands top football academies it's now about the technical ability merged with athleticism.

Most indeed the larger majority of Nigerian youth players will seem very good in Nigeria. But on arrival in Europe will find huge gaps in their football education. As a consequence they will be lacking in technical ability, game strategy and management as well as decision making.

This is why after doing so well at youth level they just seem to fade away not attaining the higher levels in football.

In addition they end up playing youth football in the academy just to get up to the standard required.

With your proposition in the bold. How do you explain Ademola, Oviemuno, among others scouted at U17 but dropped as not being good enough. Within months they were playing first team football.

You could add Eze to that scouted but dropped.

Then all are remembered when they blow.

We can not get away from our DNA corruption it touches every facet of life in Nigeria. If there is a way to manipulate a situation for pecuniary benefits we will definitely take it. The NFF is not exempt.
