Well, I had an opposite experience in Ghana. Hotel where I would have paid nothing less than 5k in Lagos/Abuja was less than 3k in Accra.

So everything is relative...

Hotel is cheaper in Ghana, house rent is more expensive in Ghana

yes the major problem is accommodation and thatz why I said in another comment that if one doesn't plan well he will end up sleeping on the street. To relocate and settle down in those countries is not a baby play in Togo they will take one yr rent but in ghana itz mostly 2yrs advance payment an before you rent a shop in a good location calculate all those money self you will be thinking of going to Europe lol but success is not 100% guaranteed in travelling it all depend on GOD. Most nigerians are like I just want to travel by all means if you ask them what plans they have in place when they get to their destination they can't say any better plan than telling you anyhow anyhow man go survive

What I will tell you is that, the country is costly, you must have like millions before you can be comfortable there, I went there with $7k plus flight, a nice accommodation, foods etc

although I didn't go there to hustle, I traveled there for tourist sake, like I was just there to visit some beautiful places, have some good time and it was visa on arrival, I don't know about now.
