What solution should I give when one says his opinion , some people come here and write sweet words to appease you?
Whoever reads the NCDMB disclaimer well, should judge by himself and no standard Recruiter working for NCDMB with Calibre of management team would put applicants data on unsecured website.
This is not about positivity or negativity but facts by public rules NCDMB stated.
I am very convasant with these agencies.

vllar:

Why not proffer a solution to the issues you’ve been mentioning and if there isn’t you can just sit back, observe and wait for the right recruiting agency to invite you. You can’t always state problems without solutions.

I agree with the points u av raised. But there is no harm waiting while searching for other things. My doubt started when I began getting oil and gas training mails. It is well!

Moving forward, I would appeal to us all to limit discussions here to really beneficial information. Let's try to keep our reservations to ourselves. Some of us here are allergic to negative energy.

The NCDMB in-house HR team and the consultants had a virtual meeting yesterday and will be having another on Sunday. The invites for test will roll in by next week. They've assigned staff to different physical test locations across the country.

There are about 90k applicants that met the advertised requirements across the country with the North East with the lowest number of about 170 persons and the South South has the highest.

The advertised recruitment will be 100% merit based. The other mode of recruitment is also ongoing. They even packaged an APL yesterday in their Abuja Office for dispatch.

I pray God gives me my APL before the test commences. God's grace and favour to all of us here. Thank you.

I believe in positivism but is like someone who does not read and wants to pass exams . Some people still came here are said this and that to to make people sweet after NCDMB disclaimer without referring to www.oilandgajobsng.com for people to apply.
There is no way a FG agency could be hiding in such way.
I wish you the best.

If you don't know something just keep quiet. I have applied for a Federal Government job without knowing specifically which agency it was like the way this organisation did its advert. It was from those who had insiders that were able to say it was so and so agency. I eventually got the job and others too based on merit. The reason for advertising jobs anonymously is to reduce the external influences to the minimum. Those that were part of the DPR and NNPC recruitment understand this better. I wish us the best in this exercise.

True talk my brother if someone is not part of the deal such person should just pray Goodluck to all that applied instead of making NCDMB disclaimer as a basis for argument.

You are a pessimist bro, please can you allow those that believe in the recruitment have peace? You have already that it's not a government agency, if I were you, I will just unfollow the thread and disappear.
Hundreds of government agencies have never advertised in their history and are everyday refuting that there is an ongoing recruitment there.
Ncdmb has even tried by being anonymous.
Do you think a government agency will waste about a million naira to advertise a non existing job on national daily just for fun?

DIC distractor in chief, I’m just amazed that you can’t stand for your own opinions in life, today you’re saying something and the next day you’re saying another, you are part of the problem of this group and Nigeria at large. I’m very certain people like you have lost hope in life and poverty has eaten your brain deeply that’s why you are looking for who will join you on your train of hopelessness. Leave us alone to fool ourselves and deal with your hopelessness issues before it costs you your fortune in life. You can’t go far in life with this way of thinking. You limit yourself with your own words, thoughts and actions.

Uhm! I want to advice everyone to increase every effort in terms of prayer and work.
If you have read the Alchemist, towards the end when Santiago was digging for his treasures he was attacked by armed robbers who laughed at him for looking for treasures, God so kind the robber told him about the same dream he had of treasures buried in a church that Santiago knew very well, and Santiago found the treasures where the robber told him.
In this life people will put their insecurities and fears on you for free.

Disclaimer!

1. @gidob implied that I played with some persons emotions on PTDF OSS thread which is completely false. I believe we all are knowledgeable enough to know that September is part of the 3rd quarter of the year.

2. @Nerosoft19, my good friend, referred to me as 'our minister of information'. I'm clearly not one please.

I'm a serious - minded individual. I can't indulge in the frivolities a few persons here insinuated, even in my dreams. I got the information I shared last week from one of their HR Managers that's coordinating the recruitment. They have sent letters to the 15 physical locations already including my location which is University of Port Harcourt.

I mentioned that they were to have another virtual meeting last Sunday of which I don't know the outcome yet. For God's sake, the week is still on till Saturday.

I believe some of these negative and unfortunate remarks have kept some persons with beneficial information from sharing.

I wish you all the very best in this recruitment and your other endeavours. Thank you.

I actually said that because I appreciate your efforts and contributions here, you have been the only one giving us the little information we have, And I appreciate that. I felt bad that some people here were calling you out that the week is already rounding up like you are the GMHR. It’s a privilege having you here sir and if that is abused like every other privilege in Nigeria then we should have a group for those that will appreciate and exercise patience.

Thanks for the update.

But I doubt the number of applicants because NNPC 2019 recruitment with wider publicity on major nationwide newspapers and websites, onymous with in-house recruitment website and more vacancy across various fields invited 60,000 applicants for test. NCDMB must have received lesser applications due to the unsecured website and staying anonymous wouldn't have got that number. Moreover, they can't take in half of the 1,050 new-intakes taken by NNPC.

90,000 is highly unrealistic for NCDMB.
Just my thought.

A staff just told me the HR team has agreed for physical CBT test for all graduate trainees. Necessary procedures are still pending which is still delaying the invitation for test. Once this is in place, they will get back to us ASAP. No aptitude test for EH but just interview stage.

The above could be the outcome of the virtual meeting they had last Sunday which I don't have any information about yet.

The 90,000 was the total number of eligible applicants. @leks4sure, remember most of them opted for virtual testing so the number of the eligible applicants that opted for testing at physical locations might be less than 25,000.

If they now decide to conduct all the testing at the physical locations because of the current phase of ease of lockdown, there would clearly be need to reduce drastically the number of eligible applicants for the test. That's completely understandable. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

All the best!

Thank you Newcastle2023 for always making out time to update us with necessary info as soon as they get to you.
Although, Leks4sure is very correct in his statement. I doubt that over 90000 people applied for this recruitment let alone being eligible, because NCDMBs mode of advert was very secretive coupled with their unsecured website issue, which discouraged a lot of people from applying. Unlike NNPC recruitment that was advertised on almost every career website, yet only 60000 candidates where eligible to participate in the aptitude test.
Also note that the recruitment requirement for NNPC recruitment and that of NCDMB are very similar.

My thoughts though undecided undecided

Thank you for your inputs. Eligible means people who meet the minimum requirement. However being eligible doesn't mean you would be invited for a test. Based on need, department, degree type, state of origin and other factors some people will still be screened out. That is how most companies do I when they have a large pool of qualified candidates..Let's see how this goes.
