block 3 doesn't have a dualseat yet..
Whatadvantage does the double seat have over the single seat?

I fully agree here and I wonder why we did not at least order the Block III double-seaters.
There are no "Block III double-seaters" being produced at the moment neither anyone has placed an order for it.

Only one prototype of single-seater Block-3 was photographed December 2019 (attached).

The first two Block-3 single-seaters are being produced in Pakistan this year. Additional 12 will be built each year for the PAF from next year for four years completing an order of 50.

Chad has the MIG 29.
We can get maybe 3 SU-30 MKI and then maybe 1 or 2 squadrons of the JF-17. I think we can maintain this with our budget
That sounds reasonable to me :
Buy the 12
Buy the parts with it and the rockets bombs and ammo
Buy the simulator
Then go buy the 3 SU30 - and repeat the process
This is how you quietly become a regional power in AFRICA

2nd egyptian rezonans-ne radar site .

info ....

rezonans-NE Stealth air target early warning radar

Mission
The rezonans-NE very high frequency counter-stealth early warning phased-array radar is designed to effectively detect a wide range of current and future air targets, including low-observable cruise and ballistic missiles, hypersonic aerial vehicles, as well as stealthy ones, in severe electronic countermeasures (ECM) and clutter environment.

Tasks
- detect and track a wide range of air targets at long ranges, including small and stealthy ones;
- automatically determine the location and motion parameters of air targets as well as classify them;
- automatically provide designations to weapon systems;
- generate and send information about the tracked targets for taking operational decisions;
- analyze the ECM situation and automatically adjust to the actual ECM conditions.

The radar can operate in circular scan mode or within a specified sector. In addition to peacetime tasks, it can provide early warning of an air attack and information support for air and air defence warfare operations.

Composition
The rezonans-NE includes up to four radar modules, each of which provides control in the azimuth sector of 90 degrees and can operate independently.

The radar module consists of a transmit antenna-feeder device, receive azimuth and elevation antenna-feeder devices, and a power amplifier. The radar’s data receiving and processing system provides data reception and processing in each of the four modules. Radar equipment is housed in containers.

The probing signal generator and radar data receiving and processing equipment are digital and controlled by special processors. A solid power amplifier is used.

The radar consisting of the four modules controls the 360-degree sector and occupies a 100 x 100 m area.
algeria have the Rezonans-NE in service tol

And concerning the rising security challenges in the country, it's high time state and local governments started coordinating and funding local vigilante groups and hunters to destroy emerging criminal organizations while they are still in their infancy. The federal police is severely underfunded and even if they are well funded, they can't cope with the current situation. The military is overstretched and they shouldn't even be concerned with law enforcement. If each local government has its own unit of local law enforcement agents, many of the villages and towns being disturbed in the north would have been able to fight back, at least to some extent. That will go a long way in sabotaging the growth of these organizations. And these local vigilantes and hunters know far more about their environment than any police officer/soldier will ever know.
Good idea, we have some in Kaduna created or revitalized by el rufai/ . (KADVS), but do u know the problem, they are not well trained enough as to counter criminals who manages to get their hands on an AK. I do see this vigilantes with locally made guns, but very few like 20 percent are equipped.
Recently bandits killed 17 vigilantes in Niger state.... The security votes given to govt, should better be spent on arming local vigilantes... And where is our inique traits of charms, let use it lol

I am surprised to hear that because I thought all JF17 Block 3 models feature a new Tail Fin (and minor other changes) similar to the JF17B i posted earlier. So what are these aerodynamic changes about if not meant for the Block III? These Jf-17Bs double-seaters are all Block II?

She would return to service as an OPV.

Aradu used to be the most powerful warship in Sub-saharan Africa. However mechanical problems have plagued her for nearly 15 years now.

Yes, these are all Block-2s

Single Seater Block-2 production numbers are easily recognisable as:
2P-01, 2P-02, 2P-03 and so on all the way up to 2P-59 so far.
There will 62 produced in total for the PAF.

While Dual Seaters Block-2 production serial numbers have B at the end of them. Such as:
2P-63B, 2P-64B, 2P-65B and so on up to 2P-79B so far.
There will be 26 produced in total for the PAF.

The only Block-3 photographed so far is a prototype and has the serial number 3000 written on it.

We should find out later this year or next year what production serial number will be designated to the Block-3. According to Alan Warnes, this particular model is expected to be sold in large numbers to foreign customers hence the number 3000.

The JF 17 is a fighter jet that is fit for purpose in our region. None of our neighbours have anything close. It's function is multirole not air superiority.Our air force is a force,not a museum or display showpiece. We don't fly jets but fight with them. Many of our east,south and central neighbours have su27and 3x but can't maintain a fighting airforce with those plane because of the cost,hence when a conflict breaks out they have to hire mercenary pilots and engineers. Really,how many sub-saharan air forces have engaged in as many sorties as our air force has in the last few years? We buy planes we can fly and fight at anytime with; not to pound our chest at on the ground. The Su series are twin engine jets,that's twice the fuel,twice the maintenance cost and a lot of down time.our airforce will struggle with its maintenance with its budget,and most African airforces are grounded with no ability whatsoever because they have it.
Better to fly and fight with a JF17 than have a grounded Su27,3x.
10x THIS! A reminder-the Ug Sues have been grounded for almost 2 years now!

This seems like a rather odd purchase. I think the army might be looking at an armoured utility vehicle rather than an MRAP, replacement for the VBL and Otokar.

Or this was a donation from South-Korea.

Buratai and Ezugwu visited KIA plant in Korea 2 years ago to see their armoured vehicle manufacturing process. Probably this is part of the outcome of that visit.
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by kabe1: 8:04am On Sep 20, 2020
Lieutenant General TY Buratai has led a delegation to the Republic of Korea to seek strategic bi-lateral collaboration in the fight against terrorism and insurgency. The visit which was at the instance of KIA Motors Corporation, was further aimed at improving the capacity building of the Nigerian Army by Republic of Korea in the areas of military logistic, intelligence gathering, army aviation and military vehicle manufacturing.
