because of the legal implications knowing well what they are about to do might be illegal or maybe because banks refused to accent to this, they want everyone to accent to this by way of signing new documents before banks can accent to it.

Even when they haven't shown what they've achieved with the internally generated revenue, the massive borrowing they've been on and now, they want to dip their filthy hands into the citizens accounts!

Tell me these guys ain't mafians?

To all those who contributed to what we now have as government, may your lives be as good as what you gave us.

The Egyptians and Taxmasters are here.

An irresponsible and insensitive government.

They can keep the schools locked down but want to force everyone to go to the Banks.

In less than 1 week:

Fuel price... Boom!

Electricity tarrif... Boom!!

Then this!

Yet minimum wage is below 25k in most states.

Where are all the 4+4 and sai Baba people?

Well... We are all in this together smiley

The statement there says it is for the regulation income tax. How do they determine what constitutes income in my account? The govt is clearly bereft of ideas and I hope this isn't a ploy to target top ministers of God who receive huge gifts.

Almost liked your comment until I saw the last paragraph. May your own life be like the country the govt you supported gave us too.

So if I send money to my mother for her monthly upkeep, they will deem that as income.

APC has looted oil revenue,Abacha loot has been re-looted,borrowed money from local and foreign banks and looted that as well and are now coming for people's bank accounts.

Fela Kuti warned Nigerians about this man in the 80's , they refused to listen and now they are all gnashing their teeth.

People will easily circumvent this satanic move by changing bank transaction narrations. I simply change the narration of a payment something like "contribution towards medical fee". That way it becomes different from income.

Tàx things.

But this government is truly bereft of ideas. Revenue are raised by expanding the tax base/net and not stifling businesses. How many businesses would have sprung up should government has generated and distributed steady power, expand road infrastructure, encourage local production, enhance education, etc.

But all they are after is who drives Benz.

it a crazy idea that with BVN,INEC-Voters Card,National I.D Card, the Govt is still going with a moribund ideas sold to it by slowpoke's.A serious government don't just do or act anyhow.
Up till now, they have not explained to the Nigerian Populace why this Merry-go-round and time wasting exercise. Why distracting the Banks again? Each time you get to the Bank's chaotic banking halls-to collect or safe money during Covid-19 is still with us till date;are those Bvn, Inec-card,National-I D cards or even Drivers License not enough Statistics or information to provide Nigeria Govt with whatever ideas they need? .Another exercise in futility!
What data has the Customs, the Immigration provided us so far? What data has the FIRS provided till date?Where is the Ministry of Information briefing? We are just not moving as a Nation! Too Shameful!

First Buhari hasn't appeared live or in public for about 6months now.
Yes we see photos and videos of him, but he doesn't speak on any current events in them, meaning the recording may be from several months earlier.

secondly where is the tweet from FG on this directive?

The FG want you to suffer!

It could be done easier but they want you to be distracted by queuing from 8am to 4pm so you don’t have time to protest.

When I opened a UK account recently and put my tax residency as Nigeria, I was asked to put my TIN and state all my earnings. It was that simple; in fact I opened a fully functional account with my mobile phone but you see this country, we like to make people suffer!

Perhaps the target is for Nigerians in diaspora; to tax them! You certify your identity, they share it with foreign governments including your income.

Solution: close your Nigerian accounts and save your money in crypto

I wonder what Femi Adesina would have written and said about the rapacity, recklessness and insensitivity of the present Nigerian government if he had not been invited into the circle.

U don't need government for that. Are Nigerians animals? Same with throwing food or rubbish from the window of ur car. There are things that come basic to human beings.... so Nigerians need to grow up. Wait for car to pass at round about according to the rules they can't. And they lay blame on president blindly - seems like a curse oh.

It's d same thing we are saying. What is d work of govt? Y is there a thing as social contract? Where there is no govt, it is every man for himself. D instances u have given are cases of every man for himself

In most organisations, income is taxed before being paid to you. So taxing an already taxed income is fraud and illegal and EFCC should go after FG.

They are not bereft of ideas, they want niggeria to remain poor. A poor populace is good businesses for the government. Do you know that Nigeria can even sustain itself even if it wasn't exporting? Nigerian Market, first should be for nigerians. Exporting should be a bonus for nigeria.
