While that is possible, suicide is not unlikely... Suicide rate has continued to be common place among military personnel not just in Nigeria, but across the globe.

Should it even be a surprise to you that the average Nigerian soldier can be considering suicide with the way things are being handled under this administration??! Do you know morale is at an all time low among soldiers, especially young ones??! I know this for a fact!

Something looks fishy here
First why outside, why did he do it outside and did no one see him and try to stop him.
Secondly, who shoots himself at the top of his head take a look at the pic well the bullet hole looks like it went directly through the top of his head and not his temple which would be the ideal place for a suicide shot

Most of us out of the fear of stigma continue to delude ourselves into thinking we're healthy, when in fact we're sicker than someone with full blown AIDS...
Depression is a sickness, anxiety is a sickness, low self esteem is a sickness, jealousy, pride, seeking happiness from things, believing things happens for a reason is a sickness, alcoholic and drug addictions and so many more are all forms of sicknesses. Talking to God is religion, but hearing God talking to you is pure sickness.
Not only madness connotes mental health, all of the above and many more are what mental health entails.
In the past people believed Malaria and Typhoid was caused by the devil, now we don't need to pray before we use Coartem, tho some still do, believing it would make the drug work better.
The same way you don't spiritualize Malaria anymore is how we should demystify and see mental health issues.

Having a military welfare and an enabling environment and barracks and insurance and good pay for all ranking officers should be a priority....But no, the govt will employ them and leave them to be killed by pampered terrorists.....
