Agbegbaorogboye:Nothing but insinuations not proven anywhere. There are allegations against Reno as well bothering on corruption during Jonathan and swiindling of certain individuals. We all have heard of the name Wendell Smith. Whether he's guilty or not, start a petition against him in the South West or the North and see it gather 1 million signatures in 24 hours. The major point is that signing a petition is not a big deal, You guys shouldn't take a petition against El Rufai like you just made a huge invention that could save the world. El Rufai not been found guilty of anything. Reno and those 20,000 would only end up shoving that petition up their hairy asses. |

GavelSlam:El rufai was a corrupt man. He did well though to bring some sanity back to FCT but he was so corrupt that land were allocated to family members and even girlfriends. Seriously looking through is performance as the governor of Kaduna state. He has tru to divide the state further by playing the religious and ethnic cards. He knows that the fighting in southern Kaduna is a form of terrorism where some unscrupulous elements mostly Fulani herdsmen terrorist are busy maiming and killing defenseless villages. Withings his power as the governor there is nothing he can do but a wise and honest man will not stoke up the fire. But since he wants to score cheap political points and exert himself from the whole thing, he is busy blaming the victims. Finally, it is also through that some section of Nigerians (most southerners) scrutinised leaders from outside their ethnicity and religion more than that from their own. They sometimes over flock an issue that has nothing to do with them. I expect them to demand more for good governors from leaders from their part of the country since we all know that their states are shambles. |

Arrewa:Haba lets be realistic, the insecurity in the state is first to none in nigeria. If he is developing the state and people are dieing who is he developing it for?? And remember no investor would come to invest in an insecured state, i used to like his policies but not now again...! |

tesppidd:You call them insinuations. It's either you haven't read them, or you did not understand what you read. Most of them are factual events that are easily verifiable. I'm sure the UK/EU do not have a short memory like you and remember the bodybags statement which is one of the petitions. At least that was a direct threat to them. Change.org is not a law court nor an investigative body. There's is to submit the petition to the concerned govt once it gets to a certain number. We're not trying to save the world. El-Rufai is not a threat to the world. If he were, the US would have no scruples doing a Suleimani on him. The objective is to show him he isn't above accountability. Lives in southern Kaduna matter and most importantly, send a message to our elites that they may see us as ants, but they should be aware even ants can fall an elephant. I don't know what pole you're on but I expect you view these ideas positively except you're one of them or you're addicted to masochism. Note: Why don't you put your money where your mouth is an start the petition against Reno and let's see your 1 million signature in 24hrs. Talk costs next to nothing you know. |

myobjective:I beg to disagree with the bolded. That statement is false if not diversionary. I doubt you can find a governor in the south who will be so bold as to play apologists for killers of his citizens. That's because a modicum of common sense exists in the south which will not allow anyone to keep quiet nor still support such a governor like most northern Muslims are doing for El-Rufai. Failing economically is one thing. But actively supporting the murder of your citizens based on ethnic/religious considerations is a bold red line no sane leader should go near talk less of cross. Besides, we all know which region of the country has the most docile citizens. Let's not paint thorns in colours of roses. |

Agbegbaorogboye:I know you already. You argue.on nairaland like you're contesting for an international award. My argument is simple; If online petitions were to be raised for Nigerian politicians then over 40 percent d them would have had millions of signatures against them. I could name a few; Obasanjo, IBB, Buhari himself, Nyesom Wike, Rotimi Amaechi, Sani Yerima, Fayose. Very many of them. I wonder how EL Rufai becomes the scapegoat after hundreds of Nigerian leaders from all parties have committed grave atrocities agaisnt the Nigerian people over the years. Reno is just a busy body and a PDP ass licker. I am not here debating whether El Rufai is guilty or not, or whether he should be petitioned or not. My point is for those gloating over an online petition getting 20k signatures. It doesn't take anything to get even 1 million signatures. This is common sense. Pls use it. |

mcquin:Hundreds of Nigerian leaders have failed in this regard in the past and in the present. I just don't understand how El Rufai becomes such a big issue. |
| Re: El-rufai: Online Petition For EU, UK Travel Ban Nears 25,000 Signatures Target by mcquin(m): 9:19am On Sep 18, 2020 |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:It's simple, it pushes them to open up investigation into the allegations against Mr. El Rufai. Did he make the statements contained in the petition? Has he taken actions against the killings in Southern Kaduna? These are the questions that will be asked. EU isn't like Nigeria where there isn't due process. Due process here is actually investigating El Rufai and I stand by it. |

Seetto:Petition them! In any case I haven't seen these persons make unguarded utterances in the way and manner El Rufai has done. Of these you've mentioned, name one that has threatened international observers. Wike has never said anyone who kills an Ikwerre man takes a loan. |
| Re: El-rufai: Online Petition For EU, UK Travel Ban Nears 25,000 Signatures Target by mcquin(m): 9:29am On Sep 18, 2020 |
tesppidd:Jonathan's failure is this regard was critical to his removal from office. When Nigerians who had hitherto not experienced the spate of bombings that went on under Jonathan, they revolted using their votes. In any case, El Rufai has made issues worse by his own statements. No other leader has shown open tribal bias. Imagine him saying international observers will return in body bags. Imagine the bigot saying any officer who kills a Fulani man takes a loan, which surely will be repaid. Nigerians at least those in South are not fools. Mention another leader that has done these. |

May the sun and sky be witnesses and may the creator be pleased to do with you as you desire in this regard. |

tesppidd:And I know you very well too. You defend ApC politicians like your living depends on it. (I suspect it does). Same way you continued beating the drums for Oshiomole on his way to self-Golgotha, only to do a 180 degrees change in moniker once his fall was confirmed. I remember the thing pain you, you insulted Buhari join . I suggest you raise the moniker back for this Saturday at least.Ao m'erin jobas like you are the reason why leaders in Nigeria feel untouchable. If you know any Yoruba in southern Kaduna, ring him/her up today and ask how the place is. I shit you not when I tell you everyone in that area is hustling seriously to get a gun. If you go through birnin gwari road today to Kaduna and you're unfortunate enough to meet the bandits or murderous herdsmen, you think they'll ask for your APC card or check your last tweet or post on Nairaland before they hack you with a machete and shoot you for good measure it they determine placing a ransom on you is not worth it? I know you're Yoruba. Ka s'oro ka ba be n'iyi omokunrin. Reno has done his. Do yours too. Raise a petition against OBJ and screenshot it when it gets 1 million in 24hrs, instead of issuing threats on behalf of a deaf tin god who gives no flying fúck about you. |

Agbegbaorogboye:You will be 51 soon. Start thinking like one. ![]() For the umpteenth time; I have got no business with what has been done or alleged to be done. A lot of people have done worse than El Rufai in this country; yet no petition, no nothing. It's not my duty to prosecute anybody or petition anybody. I don't give a hoot about Reno's political petition. Good luck to him. If everybody has time for petitioning there would be thousands of petitions against hundreds of our leaders already. So get your head out of your asss and understand what am saying. |

tesppidd:I don't know your age but whatever it is, you're a disgrace. Since what's happening is none of your business, why have you been ranting and threatening all over the thread. Talk about someone who claimed Reno is a busybody. Shame. Just cause others did evil and seemingly got away does not mean El-Rufai's evil should not be questioned. Go and get a proper education on civic responsibility. |
