Babalakin is just like PDP, thinks he can mess evrything up before the day of reckoning. Shameless proud for nothing.

Ministry of Education in the Panel and their contributions throughout the sittings especially the hounding of witnesses who came to testify against the Vice-Chancellor was enough to show very clearly that the technocrats in the Ministry had a defined agenda. Their obvious agenda was to humiliate the Governing Council.
I didn't follow the proceedings but if this is correct then there appears to be a hidden agenda. Frankly the decision on the Visitor through the FME was an indirect indictment of the Pro Chancellor. And Babalakin said he was going the job without any remuneration. I am of the opinion that the VC is guilty as charged from all the information in public domain but he appears to know how to survive the nigerian way

Babalakin is a useless man

His ouster was in order...

I said it on this forum
That his foolish moves will not end well .
Now see the disgrace

People playing God.
You removed someone from office because you have a "higher" authority, the person protested and deemed your actions "illegal", in return you insisted it was the right thing to do.

Someone who has a "higher" authority than you now removed you, and you're blabbing about "appropriateness and legality"

Golden rule:
Do unto others as you would like them do unto you.
Simple

Mr. Babalakin abeg spare us your rubbish! You removed a VC by fiat and now want to cry like a baby. You shouldn't just resign, you should be sacked for such wicked use and abuse of position and power.
This is how our Polithiefcians try to mope up sentiments when they lose election.
Babalakin is a dictator.
So he should keep quiet.

Good self-riddance. I hope he will relinquish his role as the head of the FG negotiating team with ASUU. This man is the major reason for FG-ASUU feuding all the time. Over Sabi wan kill am. It is only the position he espouses that is right and MUST be followed. Yeye nonsense

he said he didn't collect a dime throughout the time he served in the education sector..

that should tell you that he has no intention of collecting a dime as entitlement..

I absolutely agree with you that he is domineering but his letter contains very compelling arguments..

the man appears not to know how to use tact and wisdom to achieve his laudable goals...

Hmm. Long epistle.

I thought he has already been removed as Pro-Chancellor? How come he's resigning now?

Anyway, I pray UNILAG people breathe fresh air now that the warriors are out
He was told to step aside pending the outcome of investigation into the crisis, in which he could be reassigned his portfolio or sacked for not following due process in removing the Vice-Chancellor.

He has sensed that the findings may not favor him that is why he has to resign honorably than being sacked.

As usual in typical Nigerian fashion, bunch of stupid individuals have come here to celebrate the removal of Babalakin, even though he was suspended and opted to resign.

Very few took the time to read his letter and to find out if he was on point, in typical Nigerian knee-jerk reaction fashion.

Some have even gone as far as to defend the removed VC labelling him as a child of God.

Rather than find out if the VC was guilty as accused, Rather than find out if Babalakin and the other committee members followed due process, as usual we have chosen to take sides in typical zombie fashion without even knowing the truth of the matter.

We forget that the real victim in all of this happens to be that institution of learning and by extension our education system. A very sad day for the entirety of Nigerians, a very sad day.
