malele: If I’m a slow poke, then you are a halt poke. You haven’t been able to duel with me since because you know I gave superior argument with a well coherent reply while you have been parroting sea port since as the major reason for greater Lagos. There are seaports in the SS too, what have they achieved with it? Besides the Oil revenue in the SS, that zone is dead economically because you actually can’t give what you don’t have. You Ibo haven’t built any foremost heritage, not in the old times of Oyo, Benin and Sokoto caliphate, and not in this current state because you don’t have the capability. The only best in you is always seen when you leave your unproductive SE region for other people land or overseas. Ask yourself, why is it that most of your well-to-do people make it outside their region/abroad while the people that chose to stay in the SE suffers the most? Is that not why NBS tag you the poverty capital of the south? 17 Likes 1 Share |

rummmy: This is exactly what your ancestors said in the 60s and when the FCT was being moved to Abuja in 1991, they all shouted Lagos will be dead. But no, Lagos continue to grow bigger such that it left the other Nigerian states with a huge gap that none can fill yet. Federal government can’t even make Abuja greater than Lagos with the high oil revenue they have pumped into Abuja since 1991. Beside the buildings and political money shared in Abuja, what is the economical relevance of Abuja? Can you go there to hustle or find an IT company if you don’t have government sponsorship or know someone in government to put you in a federal agency. Facebook just plan to move to Lagos, why do you think they moved there? Why not Abuja or Anambra? That is because of her intellectual resources. So far Lagos remain in the SW with the highest pool of intellectual resources in the country, it will retain her glory and grow beyond bound. So again, if you’re waiting for the fall of Lagos, then my friend, you will wait till the end of time! 8 Likes 3 Shares |

seunmsg: I can also add with certainty that if Sullivan Chime had a quarter of what fashola had at his disposal, he would have dwarfed fashola's performance. At least 10% of the state's income goes to one individual, before other stakeholders start embezzling their own, and someone is talking about best administered state. If Lagos was a free state, it would have done much better than it has done thus far. 1 Like |

dokie: I can also add with certainty that if Fashola had a smaller population to control like that of Sullivan Chime state, he would have performed more better than how he performed. Enugu is just over 3million in population while Lagos is over 20million+. If Fashola was left to control such less population, he would have performed more better than how he performed. PDP killed the SE with their unproductive governance take Abia as a case study. Ikpeazu only shares kerosene while Abia is left to ruin, if Fashola had been the governor of Abia state, he would have turned the state around. 2 Likes |

Philipponzaghi: (Ask yourself, Abuja has been the FCT since 1991 with boom in oil, what have Abuja achieved in terms of industries, GDP, economy, entertainment, IT, education, Tech startups, and etc.?) What is holding down ABJ like other state is still that water problem. |
Re: Lagos Must Be Free! The 2023 Slogan for Lagos by Philipponzaghi: 3:08pm On Sep 20, 2020 |
malele: You guys should stop talking ignorantly about waterways. There are several cities in the world prospering without waterways so I’m amazed some Nigerians actually think waterway is the only measures of development. So Facebook moving to Lagos is because of her seaport? Can you see I’m actually wasting my time conversing with you? |

seunmsg: Of course, but we must acknowledge that good governance is not by party in Nigeria, it's by your personality. This was incredibly acknowledged by the good people of Edo through the polls as should be. On this we should congratulate them. Fashola earns my utmost respect in this regards. Good governance is needed all over Nigeria and not just in the states you mentioned. Lagos may be doing well but trust me it can do far better. Mind you, if you're to call any state, you should clearly start from the northern part of the country I believe the evidence is there to speak for itself. NIGERIA MUST BE GREAT AGAIN. God bless us. |
Re: Lagos Must Be Free! The 2023 Slogan for Lagos by Philipponzaghi: 3:11pm On Sep 20, 2020 |
malele: No that’s rubbish. The best when they are in their states never built it but came to Lagos to harness part of the prosperity. Let me give you a great example. Most Nigerians abroad always make it because the land is productive and they can harness the economic prosperity of the area they are like USA, UK, and etc. We wouldn’t say Nigeria made those countries because we are living there, yes we are part of those that make it up but we won’t say we made the country but INSTEAD the COUNTRY MADE US! Now coming back to the analogy of Lagos, she made those guys that left their states for a good life and not the other way round! 1 Like |

You ain't see anything yet. The days yorubas trying to be politically correct are over, una go hear whien from us whenever you bash us. Apart from Lagos, most sw cities and towns are liveable than your shitholes, is there any sw town that you guys are not there? What are you looking for in those towns if really yours are better. a4cube: This is rubbish statement and foolish assertions. Yorubas in Lagos are making it surely just that when foreigners are in a place even if they are 30, it will always be more pronounced than when you are talking about inhabitants. It’s a normal logic! Yorubas in Lagos are making it and you can’t make reference to the inhabitants as you will make reference to foreigners. It’s just like saying because Indians are plenty in corporate America and more visible then Indians are making it more than the Americans themselves. That is a stupid illogical assumptions! 2 Likes |

celeiyke: He asked a great question. Why don’t you live in your place such that such huge population of Igbos want to die in Lagos? It started during Azikwe’s time and the present generation of Igbos are also exhibiting that symptoms. The Igbos are not the only foreign tribes in Lagos, we have people from the SS and the North but you won’t see them talking foolishly like most of you guys talk when making reference to Lagos. Abia state is in total devastation and need total overhaul but you guys won’t care about your area but must talk about Lagos which is by far working more than any of your states. You all come everyday to abuse Tinubu about Lagos while the same Lagos produced the best intellectual leaders compared to their peers in Nigeria. Should we replace the APC caucus in Lagos and invite Ikpeazu of PDP to govern Lagos or what exactly do you guys mean by removing APC? What has Wike achieved in rivers with their enormous allocation and revenue? What about Delta? What have Abia achieved with their PDP and what has Enugu achieved that Lagos need to emulate? But no, it must be Lagos fixation, you don’t care about mismanaged PDP states like the shithole Abia! 1 Like |

This thread is filled with very foolish people.... What is wrong with people calling for the liberation of Lagos from Tinubu? Are the yorubas fully backing APC in their state or is it just nationalist politics... There is no reason for igbos and yorubas to always fight on this platform when we are suffering from the same bad leaders..Tinubu included and all the corrupt governors in SE.... Yoruba People should stop defending Tinubu if they are really against the evil Apc government... Forget the fact that Igbos are stupidly using this Issue to taunt yorubas, the main issue remains that Tinubu and his cohorts should be relieved of their control over politics.... Lagos and the SW is Nigerias most advanced and prosperous region, its definitely bound to attractive interest of everyone and the truth is that every body wants the best for Lagos... Yorubas should stop feeling threatened or irritated by Igbos on this platform because we share the same values and have the same goal of a better Nigeria freed from ths grips of the fulani.... The earlier we stop this nonsense feud , the better.... |

Minsk24: You guys are liars and deceivers and we are not fooled by your liberation gibberish. Your target is not tinubu but the Lagos treasury and it's assets and it's within our right to defend it from you scavengers. Sorry Lagos is not for sale. You have enough issues in your shitholes in the east. Deal with that first and let's see if you can even come up with a development model that can be replicated elsewhere but for now you are mere busybodies that can't mind your own business. 1 Like |

Multinationals don’t operate based on quota system, they will only situate their private enterprise where the economy is. If it were to be a quota system, then they can move to the SS so stop saying nonsense. Facebook new office to be in Lagos was there because Lagos actually have Something to offer compared to other areas! 1 Like |
