Mendy is already in England. Kepa just proved that his destiny is on the bench. Christiansen should be grateful that Thiago silva is still injured. Alonso should also be grateful that chilwell is injured. All in all, none of those calamitous players that gave liverpool a cheap victory today would be playing in the first team very soon. 3 Likes |

JastSiryin: I agree with you. They did in the defence and midfield but going front Chelsea had no chemistry hence, no shots on target in first half. But it was only a matter of time. Even without the red card, Mane would have definitely gotten to that ball first and finished off. Liverpool's second goal, that build up, even a team of 15 will not stop that. It was just too gravy. Liverpool too still have some work to do upfront. That 17/18 front 3 that dazzled haven't found their rhythm yet. And now that we have Thiago, we should build the squad(midfield) around him. That means taking off Wijnaldum. He's too unintelligent to play beside Thiago. Our focus should be Thiago, Keita and Firmino. Training drills on 1-2 passes. Something like a mini tiki taka between the 3 of them and allow Firmino to drop deep more in False 9 or permanently play CAM in a 4-2-3-1 with Jota upfront. With this squad depth, I think we can go ahead to grab the treble 5 Likes |

Re: Chelsea vs Liverpool - ( 0 - 2) On 20th September 2020 by Nobody: 6:58pm On Sep 20, 2020 |
RTSC: I beg to disagree with you on this, there was no way they will play 90 minutes of football right inside Chelsea's half side of the pitch without getting a goal. The bench of both teams could have decided to play 5 aside on Liverpool's half side of the field because nothing was happening there even before the red card and chelsea started coming out to play at 83 minutes after the introduction of Abraham and Barkley |

Chelsea tried I must say in first half, except for d red card on Christensen and d blunder by Kepa... Dey will definitely improve.. In another news: we are getting back to d top of d table where we belong... ... And Alcantara will really bring a significant gimmick to d table... 1 Like

byrron:They didnt look like scoring in 45 minutes. Chelsea had the game in control. Flood the midfield and catch liverpool on a counter. But even if liverpool did, it would have been end to end goals. That red card killed the game. It is not a surprise they scored soon after. And lampard is too amaturish to adapt. |

fergie001: Congrats to Liverpool... Not one bit surprised by Chelsea's performance... Assembling superstars is one thing, putting them to work and bringing the best out of them is solely for legends!!! Lampard should take notes from: Pep Guardiola Carlo Ancellotti (Everton is already soaring) Mikel Arteta Zinedine Zidane Jose Mourinho (He grudgingly earned back my respect today) Hans-Dieter Flick (The current King among coaches) Lampard and Ole need to humble themselves, resign and go to their coaching level (Fulham, BHA, Stokes, Newcastle, etc)... They are going to keep embarrassing themselves and the top clubs they are managing currently. Nairaland Mods deliberately kept me out of today's game!!! I just dey laugh them! Such pettiness!!! 5 Likes 1 Share |
