so you never paid for a private pcr test ...quite risky trying that now so many going for the test now in the uk

Yes I never paid for any private PcR test. I have done 3 already. I did my last one immediately I arrived the UK.
If you can drive to any of the drive in test centre the better for you. Just keep on refreshing the page.

Before flying to Nigeria, I did a test which I uploaded onto the Nigerian Port Health website. A QR code was generated. Mind you before the QR code is generated u need to pay 50400 Naira and also choose the date and laboratory where u want to do the test in Nigeria.
I know I wasn’t staying too long in Nigeria, I decided to do my test 2 days before am to leave Nigeria.
At the departure, no one asked u about the test, you are only asked about the UK public Health locator form which you are to fill before arriving in the UK.

https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk?

Thanks for the detailed update @Divine88

Can we start a list of airlines that have actually landed in Lagos or Abuja since the lockdown was lifted. This will be helpful for people purchasing tickets. Everyone is selling flights to Lagos including airlines that have not been approved so I think this will be helpful.

I will post another message after this. You can quote it and add the airline you used in your recent international trip ( location from is also helpful)

Thanks!

My Experience travelling to Nigeria from the UK and returning to UK.

1. You need to do Covid test( NHS offer free test) which must be negative.
2. Upload your test results into the Nigerian Port health portal https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng/onboarding/homepage
3. You will be given a QR code, for this code to be generated u need to pay 50400 Naira online and also choose the date and laboratory in Nigeria where u want to have your test.
Without the QR code, the airlines will not let you board
4. Arriving Nigeria, they ask you about the QR code.
No one holds your passport.

Departure to the UK
1. No one cares about your test results ( but u can still do it oo) You only need to fill and complete the UK public Health locator form

https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk?

2. U need that before u board the plane and also when u arrive at immigrations in the UK

Upon your arrival in Nigeria, were you allowed to do at-home self-isolation or were you restricted by Government to a particular location for isolation?

I choose a lab closest to where I was staying.
On the Nigerian Port health portal, there is a list of accredited laboratories

Please this NHS test result, does it have ones name on it?

Because the one Holland govt does here for free doesn't have the patient's name on it and they said you can't use it for anything sad angry

I’m really interested in the answer to this question. Who ever knows should help out.

You do your test before you leave your house. Probably two days before you leave so that your result can get to you a day before leaving (you don't want to delay your test results till the day of departure).

This thread is vital and people should stop posting nonsense that doesn't relate to this topic.
Please we need to hear from those that came back to Nigeria from USA, UK, Canada etc since 05/09/2020.
Tell us did you do Covid-19 test before flying, what are your experiences?

ps: Don't disturb this thread with your Lagos-Abuja-Kano-Enugu flights, as we know in Nigeria anything is possible?

Paid 50,400 for mine. They came to do it at home. Very fast and straight to the point. Got the results the following day.

Traveled the day after. They asked for the test result all the way.

Disturbing and confusing.
Can anyone clarify if it 96 hours from your departing country or 96 hours from the last flight taking you to Nigeria.
Thanks

96 hours from your departing country.

It depends on the lab where you did the test. Most of them need like 48hrs. I read that some were before or within 24hrs.
