The appointments are baffling. We are in 2020, how can Amoo and Bosso be head coaches of our age grade teams? I didnt even know Amoo is still actively coaching. I don’t know wether to laugh or cry. Is it that Nigeria is not producing any younger upcoming coaches? BascoVanVeli: |

tbaba1234:To think that NFF kept us all in the dark all this while making us believe that a company was screening and recommending only the best coaches for our age grade teams. Good riddance... What happened to Finidi George, Abdu Maikaba, Gbenga Ogunbote? Pinnick and NFF are indeed wack and quacks... |

West Ham United youngster Ajibola Alese
will make his senior side debut in this
evening’s Carabao Cup clash with Hull City.
The 19-year-old has been named in David
Moyes’ starting XI for the first time in a
side that also contains fellow Academy
graduates Ben Johnson and Josh Cullen.
The defender spent the 2019/20
campaign on loan at Accrington Stanley,
making 15 appearances in all
competitions.
Alese, who will wear the No42 shirt this
evening, forms a defensive line with
Johnson, Harrison Ashby - who also makes
his West Ham debut - and Fabian
Balbuena, who once again captains the
Irons in the Carabao Cup.
Jack Wilshere and Robert Snodgrass come
into the midfield alongside Andriy
Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini and Felipe
Anderson.
Striker Sebastien Haller, who scored twice
in the 3-0 win over Charlton in the
second-round last week, leads the line for
the Hammers.
On the bench, the Hammers can call on
midfielder Jack Wilshere, who missed out
at the weekend due to a slight injury, and
former Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen.
Xande Silva, Conor Coventry, Emmanuel
Longelo and Nathan Trott complete the
matchday 18 for the Hammers.
West Ham United: Randolph; Johnson,
Balbuena (c), Ashby, Alese; Wilshere,
Snodgrass, Yarmolenko, Lanzini, F.
Anderson; Haller
Substitutes: Trott, Martin, Longelo,
Coventry, Bowen, Silva
Team news: Ajibola Alese
handed West Ham United |

zuchyblink:Not a yardstick. Card ratings is not done over one season. It's an accumulation of previous standards. I'm not weighing into who had a better season, I'm just correcting this notion. Auba and Firminho have the same ratings. Didn't mean they had the same good or bad season. |

Danielnino00:You mean like Tosin, Tega and Tega, Ademola, Eberechi, Fikayo, Ovie, Osayi, Iorfa, etc, etc. You imply it seems that the Championship is low quality, competitively poor and not aspirational. You and few others have very erroneously said that money and value of players has nothing to do with quality. Maybe because no second tier league and many first tier leagues cannot compete with the Financial standing of the Championship. Then some of you argued, the coaches and managers are poor. When l pointed out Marco Bielsa, Philip Cocu, Benitez, Lampard, you kept quite. And yet you still continue in this charade born of misguided notions not substance. Tell me one 2nd tier league in Europe that sold a 17 year old teenager this season for £25 million to the Champions of EEurope, Bayern. Yet the league is so poor according to you. The entire transfer budget of the Segunda División is competing with only Fulham FC in the Championship. Have you seen where a La Liga team will take a player on a short term loan from a second tier league, to become an immediate starter. There are many too many players will rather choose the Championship than the first tier of many leagues outside of the top 5 in Europe. But your approach is a bit premature because the transfer window has not closed. There is near two weeks left of business to be done that is a long time in the context of football transfers. A lot can and will happen before that deadline. |

do4luv14:That's a very very contention based assumption. What does discovered mean, because I was told about Etebo when he was at Warri Wolves. I promptly went to watch him in Warri. So did l therefore discover him. |
