Why am I seeing this car everywhere I look? Is God telling me to buy Volvo? Or my village people are trying to revisit my long abandoned matter?

Cause it's a good car. People are just waking up to that wink

08089473940. Add me up.

I want a volvo but peeps keeps discouraging me. I like the xc90 but friends are shouting about fuel maintenence and affordability and availability of its spare parts. I want to be educated about the car and I hope to buy one before end of September, God willing.

Buy it. They're safe, reliable and comfortable. Parts are not an issue because unless you buy one that was abused you won't need them. Just routine maintenance grin

2010 and 2008 models... Same car....no difference.

Infact from 07 down to 014 are basically the same car, only a couple of minor cosmetic additions here and there eg rear logo spacing from 09 above, headrest designs from 010 above and etc.

You will do good to leave that "klimatronik 2.5T" though, focus on 07 above

The same people that were discouraging me before I got mine want to buy the same car now.

The parts (apart from body parts -- do comprehensive insurance) are cheap and available (can always be waybilled by night bus from Lagos if not in your area),

If you buy a good one you'd only do routine maintenance for a long time (use recommended fluids)

I don't pay attention to fuel when I drive so no idea but I don't buy much more than when I use a 4cyl car,

Car is built like a tank and really solid,

Buy the one with the 3.2l engine, it has a lot less complaints online and co.

If your friends never used the car before trying to put it down their opinions don't matter.

Not much changed until 2014. I would get the newer one or if there is a significant difference, the one with fewer miles.

Update on this
Spent a whole day with the panelbeater and after the front seats, mats and trims were removed, still no resolution (at least got the chance to take out the CEM and clean the corrosion on it with isopropyl alcohol and dry which has cleared all the errors and gotten everything that stopped working back functioning)

That weekend, I took the driver side A pillar trim out again, then went to a vulcanizer to have them pump air down the exit grommet angry

Its rained heavily about 4 times since then, not a drop of water in the car,
Still observing though, would take it to a car wash too and check if the pressure wash brings up anything but so far it appears issue is fixed grin

For anyone suffering the same thing

cluewebhost:
Is it possible water can come in through the cover of the immo box?

The other drainage issues have been resolved but it rained heavily last night and the alarm went off, radio started playing, etc.

There is water on the CEM again.

I called a volvo person this morning and he has no idea were else it can be coming from too.

It's a reliable car, cheaper to maintain than most of its Japanese counterparts due to lesser crowd. Go for it

I wouldn't do a v8 in Nigeria. V6 is peppy enough and the traffic and fuel we have here even with additives negates the point of a v8.

Ive been doing the same V8 for a long while, no issues. I have a lot of friends/customers doing the V8 too, none of us will settle for anything lower anymore.

It will be nice when you make these comments, you add something like "my opinions though". Don't make the comments like you're the absolute authority and you've just spoken the absolute truth.

Thanks
