Can't wait for clash of champions, Jey's getting his ass whooped.
I also feel Roman would get jey on his side, with Jimmy returning, they would be a faction. THE SAMOAN WRECKING MACHINES
That would be awesome...and also put the tag team titles on them while they are at it..let them hold all the gold

I'm not feeling the storylines on raw right now besides Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre's fued, let's see how the show before clash of champions would be like. I want Drew to hold the title till survivor series, baby face Drew vs Heel Roman would be so cool.

Raw have been uninteresting this past weeks like the writers are just throwing in matches without proper detailing, like last week, imagine hurt business (a heel faction) standing up against a confused heel faction (Retribution) like what happened to the faces on raw, why don't they care bout the damages caused by the retribution. Raw had better come up with something good tonight, cause as it stands SmackDown is gradually taking their place as the A show

But I think he would lose it and maybe win it back later

WWE Raw Reviews recaps and reactions...oh and DISQUALIFICATIONS angry

I was enjoying the start of this show, until Mia Yim told us that WWE gave them contracts.
I know we have to get there somehow, but… like that? So now RETRIBUTION can do whatever they want to anybody? Were they not doing that before?!?
The Hurt Business came out to confront them. When they got blindsided by 8 more RETRIBUTION members, Cole called out for help, and no one answered.
So the question I want answered is - If it wasn’t already obvious as a shoot that they don’t care about the well-being of their “independent contractors”, how does any Raw wrestler feel about WWE management in kayfabe? They’re allowing these guys to be on the show and now they’re getting paid! The logic and sense they tried to make of this was very poor.
The anarchist group caused chaos throughout the night backstage, but the Hurt Business one upped them.
Mace, T-Bar, and… SlapJack took on Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, and Cedric Alexander. Cedric just had a match an hour prior to this so I was confused as to why it was him and not MVP. But once again, the dreaded DQ finish played a role.
T-Bar attacked and then more of the group came out, but then FINALLY the Raw roster led by Drew McIntyre came out and whupped their asses. It only took TWO MONTHS!
And then an RKO outta nowhere to Drew by Orton ended the show. We’ll talk about that part of the show next.
If this was done weeks ago, I would have felt more excited seeing the roster run down and take them out. Drew needing to fight after getting attacked by Orton previously shouldn’t have been what the roster needed to step up to RETRIBUTION. I’m sorry but this did nothing for me.

More DQs and great promos
I have appreciated the story between McIntyre and Lee.
A friendly bout between two good acquaintances with stakes is never a bad thing.
Last week they didn’t do anyone any favors with RETRIBUTION being the shadow figures they were (and thankfully aren’t anymore), but this week they did it right. Lee had every right to be upset with McIntyre too, butting in on his matches with a veteran like Randy Orton.
Having said that, what in the hell is with all of these DQ finishes?
More of Lee’s matches on the main roster have ended like that than haven’t! How are we supposed to get into a new up and comer with no decisive wins?
Orton to his credit had a great explanation as to why he showed up. He’s been here for 20 years and he’ll never give up a WWE championship opportunity. I can’t say I disagree with his thinking. And who didn’t legitimately laugh out loud when he thought he got 4 Claymore Kicks and then said live on air that oh shit no actually it was 3! And he enjoyed that pain because it reminded him of what he’s capable of.
An ambulance reminds people of a lot of things, but for Orton it’s his 14th title reign. He’s going to flatline McIntyre’s at the pay-per-view. I really enjoyed this promo, not just for the great oops-a-daisy moment, but Orton’s just a great talker this year and his passion for his promos make them must watch.
I would like to have more definitive ends to matches, though. Now, I can see them making the title match a triple threat since Orton punted Lee. But, then that will be just another match Lee loses because he’ll be the one in the back of that ambulance regardless of which of the other two men are slated to win.
Keith Lee deserves better than that.

The Rest

Andrade and Garza def. Mysterio and Carrillo, and Rollins and Murphy - This match had the potential to be all over the place, but I really liked what they did here. Humberto and Dominik cleaned house to start with all the great high flying, Murphy put the work in and had incredible selling on Andrade’s spinning elbow, and Andrade and Garza were a successful team. To top it off, Rollins did absolutely nothing. It was… perfect, to be honest. And the right tag team won. It was just a bit confusing as to how two of these groups who technically broke up were back together without any explanation. I’m eager to see how Andrade and Garza continue without Zelina Vega though.
Rollins once again left Murphy high and dry and the fact that he even went into this match thinking Rollins would be a good tag team partner is poor planning on Murphy’s part. Dude has the Stockholm Syndrome.

Apollo Crews def. Cedric Alexander - Very fun fast paced bout between these two men. Cedric Alexander cut another great promo before the match about how he stood by Crews’ side through title shots he didn’t deserve in the first place. This feud is bringing out a fierce side of Crews that I love so much. After Crews upset victory, Hurt Business all ganged up on Crews and Ricochet.
So this pretty much established The Hurt Business as non-alignment because they’ll defend Raw for management and stop RETRIBUTION from attacking McIntyre and Lee, but then gang up on babyfaces they’ve been heels to. Alright, I can roll with this.

Rey Mysterio is not the father… again huh- This was really stupid. How they decided to get continuity with Rey’s daughter was Rollins revealing the results of a DNA test which showed that Rey was not the father of Dominik originally, but then played the footage of last week when she caressed Murphy’s arm for a moment. Then he said it could have been for his daughter. Then Rey called her naive and she got upset and stormed off. I really just want this feud to be over with already, and now it’s undoubtedly continuing past Clash of Champion. Ugh.
The Mysterio family couldn’t find her, but Murphy did, and he apologized to her and walked off. It’s an interesting wrinkle but it leads to Rollins and Mysterio family continuing. I don’t want this.

Peyton Royce vs. Asuka ends in DQ - Royce got some nice offense in and had a decent showing against Asuka here. But of course, we had to have a DQ finish because it wouldn’t be Raw without it.

KO Show - Shane McMahon came on to promote Braun Strowman vs. Dabba-Kato for Raw Underground and they played up the tension between them, while KO said that he had Shane fired but “oh look you’re back!” That was a funny moment. Then Shane brought on Dabba-Kato unannounced but KO knew that Shane would try to play up he and KO’s moment on Underground from the Aleister Black fight, and brought out Braun Strowman. While they toyed around with attacking each other, Aleister Black attacked Owens’ nuts with the turnbuckle a few times.
Dabba-Kato and KO will be fun down the line, but I don’t understand why they are continuing the Aleister Black feud. Well, actually yes I can - feuds don’t end on this show. They’ll probably face each other until the Royal Rumble at this point. Because every feud needs to have a 1-1 with a blowoff to make one person go over the other. And then repeat that by 4.

EST vignette - Really great vignette (kind of strange having one of these since she’s been on the roster for a while but hey it’s something) for Bianca Belair. She was besting this one Performance Center dude for the whole thing and I loved it. I love her. She needs to be on television more.

Zelina Vega def. Mickie James - Vega showed a real vicious side of her which I’ve been wanting to see in the ring. Her backstabber was just… man my back flinched after seeing that. I’m more interested in Vega vs. Asuka so this was the right call, but I do feel bad for Mickie James. I hope they don’t shove her to the side after this.

Little Jimmy is back - Nothing else matters about the 24/7 title right now. I popped for this return!

Raw Underground - Dolph Ziggler and Arturo Ruas had a two minute mat wrestling match which Dolph won, and then Braun got in Shane’s face about sending men home to their mommies with a pocket full of teeth. And that’s exactly what he did to Dabba-Kato and I’m upset about that. New big dude did not need to lose to Braun Strowman. Why, WWE? Why make a great looking new up and comer lose a high profile match?

I can finally say that Raw wasn’t as inconsistent as they’ve been in the past few weeks. I’m just… not feeling it. Orton was great, Zelina’s fury, Little Jimmy is back, and I’m excited for Orton vs. McIntyre, but Raw is not fun to watch right now. STop with the disqualifications! Draft! Draaaaft

Just name Mia Yim as Ninja-chick and Mercedes Martinez as Driver-lady since we all want to be mad

Retribution never stood a chance but WWE constantly undercutting them along the way surely didn't help.

WWE NXT Reviews recaps and reactions

New Blood
We finally got some new blood in the NXT title scene.
That would have been the case no matter who won this week. None of these men have received a one on one title shot. (And I don’t think a group one either.) But Kyle O’Reilly’s victory felt like the right choice.
Despite being the tag team guy in the Undisputed ERA, he has the Brazilian jiu-jitsu background to be a believable singles competitor right away. Not that Timothy Thatcher’s style doesn’t make him believable too, but he just lost to Finn Bálor less than a month ago.
Cameron Grimes is really entertaining, but I wouldn’t buy him in a title match, despite having a tainted win over Bálor before. Kushida was attacked by Velveteen Dream, directly leading to his elimination, furthering that feud which could get a TakeOver spot. Bronson Reed could fit that role, and they did a great job making him look like a beast once again here. But KOR is the best choice.
The match itself was new, but the staggered entries didn’t really feel like a big deal. They were able to use it at the end of the match to point out O’Reilly was fighting uphill since he started the match and Grimes was the last to enter, but that really never felt like a factor. If they booked this as a standard fatal 5-way elimination match, I don’t think it would be too different.
But as a fatal 5-way elimination, it was very good. As mentioned, they did a great job booking the big man. He manhandled everyone when it was one on one. It took a team effort to get him down. (The missed splash into the KOR top rope knee didn’t look impressive enough to finally end him, though I can imagine why that beat him.)
With Big Thicc finally out, we got some great action between Thatcher and O’Reilly given their unique styles. O’Reilly eliminated Tim as well, being able to avoid getting his leg picked and instead pinning the man.
Right after that pin, Cameron Grimes delivered the Cave In, which in most situations would end it. That move is very protected. But KOR was able to get his foot on the rope and a celebrating Grimes had to get his head back in the game.
O’Reilly ended up using a dragon screw on the Carolina Caveman’s leg, which paid dividends when Grimes tried and missed a second Cave In. That tweaked the prior targeted leg and KOR immediately locked in a heel hook for the win.
Kyle celebrated in the ring with Adam Cole and Roddy Strong so there aren’t any issues with Undisputed just yet. (Bobby Fish wasn’t on the show in general.) We’ll see how long that lasts.
I’m excited for the match Kyle and Finn will have in a week and a half. O’Reilly has a more unique style and Bálor is a great worker so they should make some magic.

Big Rematch
NXT opened the show with the battle royal to crown Io Shirai’s new #1 contender.
It was a fun match. There weren’t as many legitimate women as the numbers would have someone believe. Maybe half the competitors was made up of women we haven’t seen on TV much if at all. They served as fodder for Raquel González and Rhea Ripley as they showcased both women as heavy hitters, eliminating most of the field. (Raquel looked to have the most in this match.)
The other showcase in the match was Kacy Catanzaro’s creative elimination saves. It seemed like a third of her time in the match, she was doing something to avoid hitting the floor, whether it was handstands, scaling the guardrail, or walking on her partner’s shoulders. These were all fun and likely received the time they did because there weren’t that many featured talents in the match.
Raquel and Rhea eliminated each other, indicating that their showdown is in the near future. It looks clear that González is getting a big push, and they’ve done a good job building her up quickly. It’ll be interesting to see what that means for Dakota Kai.
Speaking of Kai, she was one of the final four of the match. It was her, Catanzaro, Shotzi Blackheart, and Candice LeRae.
Dakota and Kacy were quickly eliminated. That left Shotzi and Candice to work together for a few minutes. It was another strong showing for Blackheart, who’s been impressing big time lately.
They ended with a battle on the ring apron and the steel stairs that had some high drama spots prior to LeRae kicking Blackheart off the stairs onto the floor.
Candice is the correct choice here. We know we’re going to get a great match at TakeOver. Shirai and LeRae had a great match last year and I expect it to be better this year. Their bout a year ago felt like a coming out party for both women within NXT. But they don’t need that any more. Now they can go out and kill it.
It’ll be surprising if Tegan Nox doesn’t play a part in that match, given Candice injured her before this battle royal so revenge is a-comin’.

Showing Fire
Jake Atlas showed more of that fire he showed last week in his match against Tommaso Ciampa.
Psycho Killer’s vicious attack weeks back lit a fire under Atlas that he didn’t have before. He showed some real aggression this week, even attempting to slingshot Ciampa under the ring like Ciampa did to him. The referee stopped him, but it proved he’s no push over.
Tommaso ended up winning. That’s not surprising. He opted not to win with Willow’s Bell but instead stop the pin to deliver the Fairytale Ending. But despite the loss, Jake showed the aggression he needed, especially since they saddled him with the “I’m rooting for you, Drake Maverick!” gimmick on debut which did him zero favors.

All the Rest:
- Damian Priest defeated a very game Austin Theory. After pretty much getting his ass kicked by Kushida last week, Theory took the North American champion to the limit. While that seems a bit out of balance, the idea that Austin is very talented but very raw could easily answer for why he has better weeks than others.

- Odd couple tag team of Roddy Strong and Danny Burch defeated odd couple tag team of Fabian Aichner and Raul Mendoza. This was the brain child of mad scientist Fandango, who was using a British accent which William Regal didn’t appreciate. Now Undisputed and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will face each other to earn the right to face Breezango. That was a very very good tag team match at a TakeOver two years ago.

- Ridge Holland had a showcase match where he may have murdered a man with headbutts.

This was a good show. Both #1 contender matches delivered in the ring and set up strong matches for

Miz, charismatic, good mic skills, good in the ring, complete entertainer. I think the writers don't know what to do with him and Morrison yet, I think they should have him turn on Morrison, they start a feud then later go for IC or UC title at some point.

WWE Smackdown recap reviews and reactions

Look at that… Jey Uso watches SmackDown!
Jey saw the look that everyone was talking about last week, and he wanted to know what that was about.
WWE put together another incredible video package, including Rikishi, Jimmy Uso, Afa, and Sika! They talked about Roman and Jey through the years, and brought the family aspect of this home. So well done.
Later on, Roman told Jey that he wouldn’t know what to do with the Universal title, because Jey doesn’t get the weight and the pressure of being a top guy. The Anoa’i family relies on Roman to be the tribal chief. Jey will never not be compared to his brother and he’ll never get the chance to replace him.
Jey then asked Roman what if he’s wrong? And by doing so, had a starmaking performance.
“You’ve been on top. There goes the big dog, the main event, Mr. WrestleMania. You know what they say when they see me? Which one are you?” I felt that line. Jey swung for the fence as hard as he could to hit a home run. And then Roman reached up and ripped it away from him, courtesy of a Superman punch.
Roman said he feeds the family by being the top guy, and they need him to be champion. “You’re gonna take this payday and you’re gonna take the ass whooping that comes with it.” Jesus Christ.
Very rarely do I legitimately and truly get hyped for a match where the result is known. Roman Reigns is winning on Sunday, but maaaan y’all I am HYPED to see this match. Bravo to both Roman and Jey Uso delivering promo of the year contenders back to back. They are invested in this, as am I, as are many others who have waited for Roman to be a badass without having to be saddled with poor booking.
What’s next for Roman? Well, Alexa Bliss shot him a death stare similar to his own on Jey’s last week after her match with Lacey Evans, and that should make for a very intriguing program post pay-per-view.

Ding dong delusional
My favorite part of all of this is how delusional Bayley has been.
Bayley thinks Sasha being in her corner didn’t help her? Really? Silly, silly Bayley. Though you won’t find me painting Sasha as a babyface in this scenario like many others have. Yeah she was attacked twice, yeah it was brutal, but we all know that way before this, she was shooting those heel turn looks behind Bayley’s back for months.
As Bayley said two weeks ago, she had to do it first. That makes sense to me. And the writing was on the wall after they both lost the tag titles because as I said that night, Bayley knows that Sasha is her fiercest opponent on SmackDown and it would have only been a matter of time.
The question is - will Sasha cause Bayley to lose, or cause Bayley to win on Sunday? Personally I’d rather they hold off on doing the match between them, but it’s WWE and you know they love giving it all away as fast as possible.
As fast as possible, and then beat us to death with it.

Lacey Evans wins via DQ - Alexa Bliss took a lot of Evans’ offense, with a few comebacks, but Lacey was able to control a decent portion of the match. Then the Fiend’s laughter echoed through the arena. When they returned from break, Bliss was getting ragdolled around and tried regrouping. She started to rally, and then you could tell she was off.
The Fiend took charge of ThunderDome and played his music. Bliss flipped a switch, beat Evans up and caused a DQ. She got Lacey outside and hit another really good Sister Abigail. I’m loving everything they are doing here. Then she did what I mentioned above. Sister Alexa at the Fiend’s side for his rematch with Roman… I like it.

Sami Zayn def. AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy - No, you’re right - we’re not at Clash of Champions yet. A triple threat two days before the pay-per-view triple threat? WIth the same men in both matches? Is that how bad creative is now? (Well we know how bad it really is!) The camera cuts during this match seemed like much more than normal. I don’t know why it felt that way, unless it really was the case, but it felt like enough that I noticed it.
I would have said that the finish we saw for this match (Sami taking advantage of a Phenomenal Forearm to Jeff) was going to happen on Sunday, but now I’m not sure. Out of the three, I want Sami to win. Regardless of that, AJ is the only person who has the right to complain, in my opinion. Remember back when Jeff won the title off of him, I said exactly what AJ has been saying - Jeff… kind of cheated! I just love Sami so much that I feel like he loses the most if he doesn’t become the true champion again.

Shinsuke Nakamura def. Gran Metalik - Kalisto and Lince Dorado (who looks really good in slacks and a button down shirt by the way) did not argue over who Metalik should be listening to this time. Metalik is great with his in ring style, though he did have a slip up early in the match after he lost his footing a bit on the ropes. Nakamura hit a great Kinshasa we almost didn’t see thanks to brilliant minds in production. The tension between Lince and Kalisto is starting to enter Andrade/Garza territory. Just do it already!

King Corbin def. Matt Riddle - In Matt Riddle’s few short months on SmackDown, nearly all of it has been feuding with Corbin. Like I said before, they love beating us to death. I really hope this ends soon. Even though it seemed like it was ending from Riddle’s post match interview, I don’t believe it one bit. I just didn’t care about this at all. The one positive - I will always love End of Days. I don’t talk about that enough, but it’s one of the most protected moves in WWE and Corbin is really good at delivering it.

Dreadful - There are only two legitimate SmackDown men’s tag teams. They were involved in a match on this show. That’s it. Tucker and Otis haven’t teamed up in months, Miz and Morrison suck, New Day is not around at the moment, only one Uso is on the show, and… I don’t know I feel like I’m Forgetting about a team. This shit with Heavy Machinery and the Goon Squad is terrible.

SmackDown is ready for Clash of Champions, and so am I. Roman and Jey are going to tear the house down, and the booking for Bayley and Nikki Cross should be very interesting. The match where I already know who is winning is the match I am most looking forward to. I can’t believe I’m saying that, but they blew me away here.

WWE clash of champions reviews recaps and reactions

Oh my God.
We may have just witnessed the greatest storytelling since Kofi Kingston’s rise and coronation at WrestleMania 35. If WWE could get it so right like this more frequently, that would be wonderful!
Roman Reigns is a bully.
Jey Uso is every young man stepping up and finally taking on that mean jerk in the schoolyard, and fighting valiantly to prove that no matter what, he’s leaving with his head held high because he didn’t back down.
Every single person played their role perfectly. Everyone.
Paul Heyman did not introduce Reigns, like he would normally do with Lesnar. Fantastic. Reigns started trash talking Uso early on, tossing him around and repeating that Jey is and never will be on his level. Jey was able to get some offense in, with some hard slaps and elbows.
Then Reigns dominated for a bit and it seemed like it was over, but Jey kept fighting. Reigns grew increasingly frustrated that Jey wouldn’t just take his payday and lay down. But then, the momentum suddenly shifted, and Jey was dominating. He threw everything he had at him, and the splash connected! Right at the 2.9, Reigns kicked out, but the way he did completely changed the game in his favor.
He low-blowed Jey without Charles Robinson seeing it. The smirk on his face afterward, that smug bastard. And he made sure to put the hurt on his cousin. Robinson was nearly pleading with Reigns to stop, and Reigns whipped back at him and said its his WWE and he does what he wants, so he better leave him alone or he’ll find himself without a job. Robinson was perfect. The way he looked at Reigns like he didn’t know who he was anymore. Chills.
And if that wasn’t enough, Jimmy Uso limped down with the towel and he was going to throw it, but Jey pleaded with him not to. Roman kept beating down on Jey, wanting him to acknowledge him as the tribal chief of the family, but Jey never said it. The beating kept coming and Jimmy finally threw in the towel and dove into the ring to protect his brother.
Reigns told Heyman to get the red lei that Jey wore to the ring to place over his neck as he was announced as the winner.
Holy shit.
I am still stunned and still have goosebumps thinking about how unbelievably perfect all of this was. It was captivating storytelling. Roman bullied Jey, Jey valiantly fought without quitting, Jimmy gave Roman what he wanted, called him the tribal chief, and had such passion for his brother and anger towards his cousin, Robinson sold Roman’s vitriol so well, and Heyman’s shocked face as Roman’s arm was raised put the cherry on top. Roman Reigns is the top heel of wrestling.
It’s not just his yard - it’s his world.
No, it’s his universe.

Bayley had it coming
Bayley came out and said that Nikki Cross was unable to wrestle.
She felt bad because she wanted to continue proving that Nikki can’t cut it against her, and she announced an open challenge for the title.
After 5 seconds she closed the door and demanded the ref raise her hand in victory. Then Asuka came out! And she came out as if she hadn’t had a match literally 25 minutes prior, which was a bit strange.
So they had a pretty good match but it was so rushed and random that I didn’t even get a chance to consume it. It was over relatively quickly anyway, as Bayley grabbed a chair and the referee disqualified her.
AND THEN SASHA BANKS SLAMMED A CHAIR INTO HER BACK!
They brawled around and Bayley grabbed a kendo stick and another chair, but Sasha was able to get the better of her and it scared Bayley off. That moment was perfect.
Now would I have had her come back so soon? No. However, I like that what they’re doing by bringing her back so soon, is selling that she’s a tough woman. She sold the neck injury fantastically while beating down Bayley. Bayley also did a great job selling that Sasha is her biggest threat to losing the gold.
For selling Sasha as her biggest threat, I dig it.

Ghosts of Orton’s past
McIntyre started this match off really well, a real sense of urgency to hurt Orton. Orton was able to get control and hit the draping DDT quickly. He was about to punt kick McIntyre, but Big Show grabbed his foot and chokeslammed him into the announce table.
McIntyre was then able to take back control and got Orton to the ambulance, but then decided to play with some toys from the side of the ambulance instead of trying to get Orton into the back. It cost him, as Orton ended up not in the back of the ambulance and they brawled to the back. And then Christian appeared and attacked Orton.
Back out in the arena, they ended up on top of the ambulance and then Shawn Michaels superkicked Orton off the ambulance.
McIntyre was finally able to put Orton into the ambulance, but gave him a punt kick for good measure. Then, arguably the best part of all of this - Ric Flair was the ambulance driver and drove Orton out of the arena.
I did not like Big Show’s involvement at first, because it wasn’t yet known what was going to be happening. I can’t say that I really enjoyed all of Orton’s ghosts interfering, especially since not once right after any of those interferences was Drew able to win. Orton was still able to get back at Drew, and that hurt the match for me.
What’s next for both men? Perhaps a few weeks off for Orton, which is well deserved after his stellar 2020 so far. Who challenges Drew next? There is a Limitless person waiting in the wings! I would like to see a decisive finish to a Drew and Keith Lee match.

Sami Zayn def. AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy - What an opening match! I wanted Sami Zayn to be the winner, and it set such a positive tone for the evening.
Jeff hit his standard ladder match Swanton to send Sami crashing through a ladder. Styles at one point was attacking both men which was smart to try and not have any interference when he tried to go for the titles. But Sami… Sami was the smartest man of all. He brought handcuffs to the game. He handcuffed Jeff’s earlobe to a ladder, but when he tried handcuffing Styles to the rope, Styles got smart and stopped it. What he didn’t think was that Sami would handcuff him to Sami!
While Styles was busy trying to get Jeff away from him, Sami took the key out and unlocked his side and attached Styles to the ladder too. He was free to climb up and win. I loved this so much and said on Friday that Sami would benefit the most from winning. This was the right call.

Street Profits def. Andrade and Angel Garza - This was a really good match, which had an ending that no one saw coming. It looked like the Spanish Fly that made me legitimately jump out of my chair seemed to cause some sort of an injury to Garza and the ref threw up the X. As a result, what was going to be a kick out ended up being the winning pin for Dawkins.
Commentary made it a point to make it look like the referee messed up. Now, if Garza is legitimately hurt, that sucks for him because there’s no doubt in my mind he was going to be tag champ. That means that if Garza isn’t injured, we’re getting yet another match between these teams. Before the match, Tom made it a point to acknowledge that these two teams have been facing each other on and off since WrestleMania.
That’s not a good thing! Many feuds on this show have been going on for months. It makes Raw not that much of an exciting show. Again, with an injury it’s different, but hopefully the next match between them ends up being the last.

Bobby Lashley def. Apollo Crews - It felt Crews got more offense in against Lashley than he has in previous matches. Lashley hit a really great superplex off the top rope but Crews was able to kick out and do a nice standing Shooting Star Press and Frog Splash. Crews was not able to get out of the Full Nelson though.
So… can this feud be done now? Apollo needs to move on. Apollo/Ricochet/Cedric and Hurt Business with Cedric as well has been one of Raw’s never ending circles since before SummerSlam.

Asuka def. Zelina Vega - Vega was smart to tackle the left arm of Asuka as that is part of her deadly arsenal - the Asuka-Lock. Asuka is so great at selling an injury. Vega did well but didn’t injure the arm enough, as Asuka was still able to use her submission. It was a pretty good match, and Zelina being able to show off her wrestling skills always makes for a fun time for me.
What happened after however, means that we’re getting more of this. The standard attack after the match to keep the program going. Expecting a rematch tomorrow night on Raw.

24/7 title shenanigans - Little Jimmy led R-Truth to the referee’s room and Drew Gulak took advantage and pinned him to win. Later, Drew was being interviewed and Truth won it back. I was hoping for Drew to bring the 24/7 title over to SmackDown and have some new stuff go on with that title, but Truth seems to be nothing without it. Truth will never not be in the 24/7 title picture, until he retires. Maybe even further than that.

Clash of Champions was a really fun show. The last minute changes were unfortunate but necessary in COVID-19 times. There would have been one title change on this show if it were not for Garza’s potential injury.
When wrestling is great, it’s great. I am so incredibly happy with how Roman vs. Jey went that I’m going to watch that again right now. I don’t do that very often. A match we all knew the finish to still ended up being one of the best matches I can remember. Going to enjoy this high before RETRIBUTION (absent from this show for some reason) does dumb stuff tomorrow night on Raw.
