The NFF apparently aren't different from other government agencies in this country.. appointments are hardly on merit and recycling of appointees is rampant..

Ladan Bosso and Fatai Amoo as coaches in the year 2020.

Do we not have competent people to take over at this level?

We surely do

E don taya me. And its not about the money. See Bale using his strike action to fight Madrid. Like i can bet you, if alll of 20 NPFL clubs 35players on the league roster were in Bale's shoes, not necessarily Madrid, they'll not bother kicking a ball again.

600k/week. governor for my state go hearam

That's the mentality. And this lack of ambition will ruin them all. Its painful that such is the mainstay Mentality of an average naija footballer and it needs to change.

See Bale at Spurs again.

That's why i smh when if someone is criticising such faves constructively, the fans will counter you with "he is sha making his money, and you dey here dey yan dust"

Till then, it will be just disappointment on this Nacho matter, but never about questioning his Tech Abilities.

Obafemi Martins played 70mins in his side's (Wuhan Zall FC's) 2-0 home defeat to Hebei CFFC in the Chinese CSL.

Ifeanyi Matthew played all 90 for Lillestrom SK in their 4-1 triumph over Strømmen away from home in the Norwegian 1.Division.

Currently, Three Nigerians are in action from the start for Øygarden (Peter Godly Michael, Charles Chindeu Ezeh and Maduka Udeh) in the Norwegian 1.Division as they take on Sogndal parading Nigerian U-20 defender to the last WC, Igho Ogbu.

Ogbu's team are 1-0 up away from home at Halftime.

Just in now from the Netherlands, Tyrone Ebuehi is confirmed to be making his third start of the season for FC Twente in the Eredivisie.

lol. Im kinda happy seeing Haruna Ilerika. But the list is stale and reeks of crap.

Not even ex internationals or those young managers in NPFL. Ladan sef suppose don get like 4 apprentices that can coach any team by now. They keep louding the absence of structure. A pity.

Outside influence? The NFF made him take someone's child (the boy is actually ok) to the world cup in exchange for not getting prosecuted. Is that what you are talking about? Right now he already has a player in the super Eagles camp so what else do u want?

Bhuhahahaha! How did they get the job if no bi man no man?

Was there due process and screening before these were selected? Especially the U17 and U20 coach?

These are old cargoes. Do they have anything to offer? grin

Do they even have UEFA badge?

This is disheartening.

according to owngoal nigeria deal hit a snag but might still go through. from their report it seems the udinese coach doesn't rate ekong hence the reason why they are trying to ship him off to watford. the report claims ekong is not too pleased to be going to watford. let's see how things pan out

ABOUT OUR NEXT U17 AND U20

All i know is our next set of youth players must go to Red Bull Salzburg. Apart from that they should go to belgium or france. Lommel sk in belgium will also be good for them.
These clubs and leagues are good for young African players that are new to Rurope
I also think they should play in the newly formed private investors league in Nigeria as it us a league that will revolutionize our football

The most important thing about youth football is the ability to make it at senior level. We should take their ability to make it at senior level more seriously than winning laurels at a youth stage. We need to get rid of the Rabiu ibrahim syndrome.
The nff should device a methodology that will make them survive at senior level. It should be the main agenda of nff. Another set of Osimhen are comming up next year and it is the responsibility of stakeholders in our football to ensure their talent does not waste. We need to learn from experience
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:29pm On Sep 25, 2020
Yes and this is especially according to sources like Nico Schira and a few other Italian sources. But I got wind of an insider info that explains the situation of things and why Ekong could be on the move or could be stalling due to the fact that moving from Serie A to The Championship is indeed a step down.

Read below...

The coach of Udinese doesn't rate Ekong enough saying he is tactically rigid and considers his main defensive trio to be Becao-Di Maio-Nuytinck. He considers the backup to this trio to be Samir. So the coach informed the owners he had no plans for Ekong in his team anymore and have told them to sell him. Now the owners, Pozzo family, don't really want to sell Ekong so they proposed a transfer to their sister club, Watford. Ekong was not happy with the move, and that is why the transfer is taking long. In the meantime, Nuytinck was injured, so this further complicated matters. Now, Nuytinck’ injury has not turned out to be serious, so the move might still happen.

Now this info is as at 4 days ago, I await further updates on this. It will be interesting to see if Ekong will play a part in this weekend’s game or to see if the move will eventually happen. Time will tell.

Let me add that personally, I want the Watford move to suffer death. I pray it should not happen. I don't care how close it is but time will tell indeed.

Well, these two lads are not new to our youths system especially Ladan Bosso.

I think the NFF have, this time around, chosen to stick with those they know already.

Another opportunity for our locally based coaches to prove their worth. Let's see how it goes.
