I am not understanding because when you have the infilling of the Holyspirit, the evidence is that you speak in tongues. The gift of the spirit includes but not limited to prophecy and faith. Faith is what is required to heal the sick and cast out demons... so, so?

The holy ghost is the custodian of powers, if the holy spirit is the power itself I won't say that's not true, I agree with you. But you should know what a custodian is and it is left for believers to seek genuine anointing from God. There are powers to do different things( anointing) healing power,casting out demons etc....the life of Jesus it was demonstrated, there are type of situation that deserves some kind of knowledge and power

Hmmm! But first, seek for power to live above sin. It opens every door and the auction to wield the powers listed above. Satan uses our sins as exhibits to deprive us of every power or gift you can think of.

Apostle Paul talked about spiritual gifts in the book of conrithians well addressing spiritual gifts, he told them about tongues, gift of healing, revelation, prophesies, and he said it is by the same spirit but to each he gave different gifts.

I believe this is justice enough.

The power of speaking in tongues or casting out devils, or healing the sick are still gifts. The powers were GIFTED to Christians by God.

So the gift is the act of giving the power to the Christian sir.
