I don't often comment on politics. In fact, I try to desist from it, since it inevitably forces me to choose a side.

As a businessman, that is something I don't do. I have to serve customers irrespective of their political beliefs.

Tomorrow being Nigeria's Independence Day, I reasoned that I need to put up some decoration to key our customers into the season.

Would you believe that I went to the market, and I couldn't find any green and white material, flag, scarf, or anything at all that one can use for the independence celebration?

I had to buy one yard of green and a white material, and send it to my tailor to sew a flag. Yet, the market was full, busy, but no material or accessory to key into this monumental day?

Nigeria has failed the average Nigerian, and it is written in all our faces. Irrespective of which party you support, you know, deep down, we've been cheated.

A moment that should bring celebration looks like a gloomy, scary jungle where everyone is hunting for their next meal.

But no matter what happens, play your part, be good. If your dream job isn't coming, start a business.

If the supply of a product is low or zero, the only logical reason in this scenario is the lack of demand.

Just as coronavirus opened up a new market of a nose mask, the same way that seasons like this impact on business - like Christmas!

People lack the patriotic spirit, hence there were no buzz, reminders, preparation, or pre-orders of decorative wears.

This lead to the pathetic state of the current market. The day is not being recognized by both consumers and producers. It's a red sign!

So bad!

We should celebrate the epileptic power supply!
We should create Insecurity!
We should celebrate unemployment and constant mass retrenchments!
We should celebrate Sarz and all "security operatives" and their ruthless killings!
We should celebrate Boko Haram and highway broad day light killings and massacres!
We should celebrate becoming one of the poorest countries in the world!

We ought to! angry celebrate finally making it to the World terrorists countries list as the 3rd position.
Such a great feat!!!

Truth is ,most Nigerians (including myself) are tired .

angry angry angry angry angry.

I was on a bike yesterday and the traffic warden stopped everyone so that a patrol team could pass. The aboki riding the bike I was on tried to manouver and he 90% put me in front of the patrol vehicle.
I told him to stop that I wasn't going again and he said I must pay him that whatever happened was a mistake.
I told him I ain't paying a dime and he said he was going to fight me and he was already putting his hands behind his clothes.
Meanwhile, the idiot traffic warden were there and they pretend as if nothing is happening.
The confidence with which the hausa man said he will kill me and nothing will happen was mind boggling.
Buhari has given these people so much power that they believe they can commit any crime and go scot free. I paid him and let him leave and he was still cursing me and threatening me at the same time....
I value my life so I let it slide.
You see, a country where cow's life is more valuable than human life, where some certain people believe they can do whatever they want and go scot free is not worth celebrating.

If?

If the supply of a product is low or zero, its because no one has bothered to do supply juju.

Bloghomies:
Just as coronavirus opened up a new market of a nose mask, the same way that seasons like this impact on business - like Christmas!.
Which an astute businessman sees as it opens and takes position to profit.

Bloghomies:
People lack the patriotic spirit, hence there were no buzz, reminders, preparation, or pre-orders of decorative wears..
This is fuzzy. First, there's nothing called 'people'. There are only businessman and consumers. And there's nothing called 'patriotic spirit' unless someone goes an inspirits patriotism in
people. A 'patriotic spirit' does not just fall on people as they mindlessly walk down the street.

Businessman does supply juju to scarce product then does a juju called marketing to create "buzz, reminders, preparation, or pre-orders of decorative wears" which then creates demand which businessman books as profit.

Bloghomies:
This lead to the pathetic state of the current market. The day is not being recognized by both consumers and producers. It's a red sign!
I agree that your version "leads to the pathetic state of the current market". If only I was a businessperson.

Please, if you don't mind. If we start the patriotic spirit business juju in say April 2021 it will be ready by October 1 2021, so make a note in a diary. buda.

I’ll agree with you and chide you one on small part; nobody should start a business owing to an inability to find a job.

I strongly recommend entrepreneurship for that person who wants innovation, independence, and can beat their own path in life. Not for who is unable to find a job.

We've seen how Nigerians have made us proud across the globe. Though, the sad reality is that we're divided along ethno-religious line due to our inhumane leaders which corrolates our comments on media platforms. We might not be where we ought to be, but we're not where we used to be. Lets see ourselves as one indivisible nation. I reiterates my belief in the entity called NIGERIA. Happy National Day, Nigerians! #60YearsOfNationhood

Silly talk.
There has got to be a demand for a product before you jump in to bridge the gap.

So, why not take advantage of it then, if you are convinced it will be a brisk business?

Order for a truckload of the flag and see how many people will ask you about the price, much less buy.
