I don't understand fraudulent system of Nigeria government in everything. Electricity charges all over the world is not charge by units for prepaid meters instead it's charge by KW kilowatts per hour. In Ghana for example 1 kw per hour cost 0.30 pesos. So if customer buy units of 3.00 GHS, he will be expecting 10kilowats of electricity units.

For example that your fan consume 50 watts per hour it will take 20hours for your fan to consume 1 kilowatts, that means 10kw will last for 200 hour's.

I believe Disco don't want Nigerians to know exactly cost of 1 kilowatts. This way the customer can know is the units vendor cheats him or not.

When there's hike in electricity tariff it appears on cost of kilowatts starting from 1. But this country everything is fraud including a president that cannot address 200 millions people live on independent day celebration of of fairlure

The smart ones will go and purchase #10k worth of Unit now that the promo is on ,f oolish NLC should have insisted on Government selling prepaid meter to a 3rd party like banks or or NIPOST OR Jumia,with licensed installation than the 14 days reversal

If you want cheap power, you have to allow the DISCOS to charge what they want, instead o this current system where we produce power at 53 naira for a kwh, and then sell it at 28 nira per kwh, which mkes it difficult for GENCOS tto pay for gas to produce power.

And scrap NBET....whie we are at it

Yes, POWER WOULD BE EXPENSIVE....100 nair per kwh, but the doscs and gencos wuld have the cash to pay for improved equipment, improveed financiing, and more jobs.

And then competiton steps in, does its thing,, and prices crash

According to Moghalu, ex CBN, a Kwh costs 53 naira to produce in Nigeria.

Accroding to the government, the markup priice for a kwh in Nigeria is 49.50 naiira
