I hope its not Brucellosis because it is difficult to eradicate once contracted and most of the drugs used to treat it are contraindicated in pregnant dogs example tetracycline etc. That was why I prescribed amoxicillin to you since its a very effective broad spectrum antibiotics especially in reproductive tract infection and most importantly safe for pregnant dogs. But if you suspect Brucellosis, then we may try enrofloxacin in replacement since its effective against Brucellosis and hopefully compatible with pregnancy. I hope this helps

I'm so sorry for the late response, in order to avoid misdiagnosis, can you please tell me other symptoms you are observing so that I can get a clearer picture of what is going on. Although from what I'm seeing, I can observe dermatitis which could be due to ectoparasites or allergy hence was wondering why the "vet guy" said its was going to go on its own, perhaps he is seeing what I ain't seeing !!! All the same I await your reply.

Okay, I now understand. Since you are not seeing improvement and rather it is spreading, please tell your vet to administer Ivermectin inj, the reason is to rule out the possibility of any ectoparasite. Secondly, go to to any pharmacy and get an antiinflammatory cream/lotion and apply topically to the affected area. Then lastly get Amoxicillin, 1 tab once a day, to combat any ongoing systemic infection. You can supplement all the above with multivitamins like b-complex and Vit C. Please also ensure your environment is also clean and let's observe for 2 days. I hope this helps?

Sir pls what does vaccination entails, can you explain in clear terms and if possible cost to vaccinate a puppy
Also is it possible to have a dog free of sickness and diseases, if yes, what can one do to have a healthy dog

Congratulations in advance sir, having a dog is a very wonderful experience but for you to enjoy this experience several factors has to be in place. First of all, you should ask yourself, why do you want to have a dog? is it for companionship, security or breeding business? That will determine the managemental system you want to use, for example intensive, semi intensive etc. The next thing is the dog's welfare, Our professor in school used to tell us that "what is convenient for you is also convenient for animals and vice versa, always put these animals in your shoes and you'll get the best out of them". Hence you must vaccinate, in order to prevent them from vaccinable diseases like parvo, rabies etc (I'll send you the vaccine schedule later). The price of the vaccine varies and I can't use my clinic to judge since the vaccines there are heavily subsidized (Government owned clinic). But if you want to vaccinate, I'll advice you go to a Government owned vet hospital (Its cheaper and safer).
Then you must also deworm, in order to prevent intestinal parasites (worms) which may cause harm to your pet, deworming is very cheap but ensure you use Albendazole based dewormer like worm off® etc.
Lastly if you follow all the above points and in addition keeping your environment clean with your pet eating a good and nourishing food with regular checkups by a vet, God willing you will raise an healthy dog that won't give you hassles. I hope this helps

As at on Sunday my boerboel was acting funny , as at that period , I decided to speak to Dr seun
He ask me some few questions which was responded by me then he prescribed some drugs, on Tuesday morning I had to call again to inform him about the progress and what I felt was wrong from some of the new symptoms my dog showed, he asked for the steps taken when I noticed all this, which I responded then he recommend additional drug which finally stopped my dog vomiting issue bcoz he was already weak, I was already planning to Take him to the clinic for parvo test as suggested by Dr seun if no improvement that day becoz the symptoms ar closely related to parvo ie diarrhea, inappetence, lethargy, fever.
On that same Tuesday afternoon/evening my dog started responding to treatment, by next day my dog was able to gather little energy after hand feeding him and he eat with out vomiting for the very first time since on Sunday morning
To cut story short, on Thursday my dog was fully ok bcoz he was already barking and charging @ one of our guest, his urine was normal unlike before that it was dark yellow, appetite was back to normal.
I just want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to Dr seun bcoz if not for him and God I don't what could have happened to my dog.
