I have searched the entire scriptures where Christ (Yahushua) promised material possession or preached prosperity gospel, I found none. I also searched the entire scriptures where Satan promised material possession and preached prosperity gospel, I found Mathew 4:8-9. |

JourneytoEL:With all that you have quoted, why do Christians still hold the believe that Jesus is God? Can he be the son of the same God you are claiming him to be? Be guided! |

femi4:How is this an insult? Is the devil not a liar and a murderer? |
| Re: 5 Life Lessons To Learn From The Temptation Of Jesus Christ by franklytrue(m): 3:55pm On Oct 04, 2020 |
femi4:Insulting is not scriptural. Jesus was not insulting him but stating the facts. Insulting is demeaning or degrading a being below the truth. For example, calling the devil stupid. He is not stupid but crafty. He is ordinarily wiser than a carnal man but the truth of God will prevail over his lies. |

BoboNogoDie:He did it for my sake and yours. We all fell short of the glory of God and were condemned to destruction but he paid (took) the price (punishment) to save (redeem) us because God still loves us but will not lower His holy and righteous standard to accommodate sin. We become saved from the wrath to come (1 Thess. 1:10) when we acknowledge, confess and accept His offer of salvation. (John 3:16, Rom. 10:8-13) "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." - Hebrews 2:9 Death is a separation of the spirit from the body. Spiritual death is separation (estrangement) from God. This offer of salvation is still open to you. |

Ayilara1:Exactly! Even Jesus says “no one has ever seen God”, recorded in John 1:8, yet many people saw Jesus when he was on earth. “The father sent me”, that was Jesus word in John 20:21. Jesus is an obedient son to Jehovah, unlike Satan (which is also one of God's son/creation) |

Youngzedd:Why do (most) Christians find it easier to accept and make noise about Jesus being their savior rather than follow his teachings? Jesus' body language towards materialism as painted in the Bible is too obvious to be misunderstood. Same with his messages. I have read about sages and awakened Ones; they all have the same attitude toward material attachment and possession of it. I don't even know who to blame; the preachers or the believers. Religions in my opinion should be a medium of awakening not another platform to pursue what's not wealth. When the pupil his ready, the teacher will appear. When the pupil is TRUELY ready, the teacher will disappear. He who seeks the truth can never be misled. |

Magmata:The teacher feed the students what he or she wants them to know. Christ didn't found the religion we call christianity today, it was formed by Emperor Constantine at the council of Nicea in AD 325 and that was why what we see in Christianity today is far away from what's in the new testament scriptures which should be Christian manual. Religion has always been a weapon of control. Read Mathew 23 to see what Yahushua said to religious leaders. Also check out John 8:31-59 Read them using NIV or NLT. Matthew 16:24 Then Yahushua said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Matthew 19:21 Yahushua answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Mathew 19:27-29 27 Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” 28 Yahushua said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[e] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. * A Christian's ONLY reward is eternal life. Stephen filled with the holy spirit was stoned to death. |

JourneytoEL:Another thing I learned from the temptation is that eating play a big role in obedience to God. The devil came to Eve and talked about eating something. He came to Jesus and the 1st thing is eating. How many people have disobeyed God because of hungers... |

Akhirastriver:“He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”—Col. 1:15-17 |

JourneytoEL:Duh! JourneytoEL:Unfortunately, this is also not true. Being able to quote the Bible from beginning to end will never keep the devil at bay! Not according to Jesus Christ. The only way to resist the devil is to grow in Jesus Christ and that can only happen through obedience. JourneytoEL:Insulting the devil? You mean Satan? The very word of God is against that ofcourse. Man has no power to rebuke Satan... and Yes, Jude the apostle warned against this. JourneytoEL:Counterfeit? JourneytoEL:Singing worldly songs, being in poverty has nothing to do with Satan. God created even those songs you choose to call worldly songs. And there is no commandment that deems the singing of "worldly songs" a sin. Remember, do not add or remove from the commandments of God. JourneytoEL:You can scream from today to the morrow against the devil and you will continue to struggle with the same sins you were before you started. Everyone likes to say things like "resist the devil and he will flee" but how many of you have ever sat back and asked exactly how does one go about resisting the devil? What does it really mean to resist the devil? |

BoboNogoDie:What do you believe in then? That book is not just an ordinary book or a story book. It details also an history of God's dealing with man thousands of years ago. It was not written by the slave masters but compiled years before they even existed. Jesus was God manifested in flesh for the purpose of redemption. Jesus is still alive and there are testimonies about Him from several people. I am one of them. He will reveal Himself to whosoever is humble and does the will of God. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. For many who were martyred or are willing to die for Him, it is because they have come to know Him as the Truth. They know (have experienced) His love, glory and power. The natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned - Scriptures I believe in Him also because I have experienced Him for myself. He is alive! If there were bad eggs as slave masters among those who brought the Gospel to us, does it mean they were all bad? If some persons in a particular tribe or region are terrorists, does it mean every person in that tribe or region is a terrorist? Jesus Christ is real. He is alive and He is coming back again in this present generation for those who are ready for Him.

[s] franklytrue:[/s] Lol! All these nonsense epistles just to prove a point you know absolutely NOTHING about. You don't have any prove aside " the Bible says". A book filled so many errors, inconsistencies and contradictions. Muhammad said blablabla Buddha said blablabla etc Didn't your Jesus also said: 1. Matthew 24:36PLEASE OPEN YOUR BRAIN! CONCENTRATE! Humans can trace their existence (homo sapien) down to 300,000 years ago... Yet, one story-book written be ignorant old folk out of delirious obsession will tell you that ADAM AND EVE were created about six thousand years ago. The book also want you to believe that someone died for the sins you never committed THE ORIGIN: CREATED By early theologians... Jesus, a Jew man... Who lived about 2000 years ago... He was a good teacher and a theologian... He lives in a time when the Roman empire was oppressing his people... He wanted to free and liberate his people... He was referred to as a rebel by the Roman authority and some of his people ( The Jew priests)... Jesus was accused of the crimes of blasphemy and sedition by the Roman authority. Judas played the role of a snitch AFTER HE WAS BRIBED, for Jesus to be apprehended. Jesus was killed for the crimes he was convicted of. Later on, some confused and obsessed fellows made up the story of how his death paid for their sins ![]() Because they can't just accept that an intelligent and innocent teacher could just die like that. They felt that there must be a strong reason for it, and since giving pure sacrifices to their gods then was the best gesture of worships, they attributed Jesus' death to the greatest sacrifice they can ever offer to their god....AND A RELIGION WAS BORN! (Chris tia nity) Only he who starts of his own accord can advance spiritually. The fool who appropriates and makes use of the ready-made opinions of others, is like one who dismembers his own sturdy legs and walks on crutches. |

BoboNogoDie:'The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.' - Psalms 14:1 Don't let this remain true of you. Insults will not change the truth to a lie. So you know some of the words of Jesus? That is good. But do you also know that he came to show us an example and to fulfil all righteousness? (Matthew 3:15) 'For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously' - 1 Peter 2:21-23 Do you also know that he said he and the Father are one? Do you know that he is the Word of God made flesh? In the flesh, God humbled himself and took our natural human limitations (Phil. 2:6-11, Heb. 10:5) of not being everywhere or knowing everything at the same time for that purpose of redemption because man sinned and man had to be justly punished or pay the price and no natural/sinful man could do this but a perfect man (God in the flesh). Do you understand that God is Omnipresent? That He fills heaven and earth? That He can be in more than a thousand places at the same time? That He sees what you and I are doing right now even if we hide deep inside a cave thousands of miles apart? God, by His omnipresent power, operates or relates with His creation in three distinct ways as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is the Godhead, which some people call the Trinity. And when it is said that Jesus, the Word of God which is God Himself(John 1:14, ch 14:9, Isaiah 9:6) is the "Son of God", some people will compare Him to the nature of a man and be asking who is His wife. 'Son' in this term refers to who proceeded from God. Your biological son is like a replica of you proceeding from you. In another sense, you as a man can call an adopted boy your 'son' even though you did not give birth to him biologically. Is the son of a Landlord not also a Landlord? Is the 'Son' of the Divine and Supreme Being (God) not also a Divine and Supreme Being? "I and my Father are one." - John 10:30 (Colossians 1:15-19, Matthew 28:18, John 5:22-23, 1 John 2:22-23, 1 Timothy 3:16) Many people like you may limit God in their minds to just a Being sitting down in heaven only seeing or attending to one or a few things at a time, or how else could He be ruling/overseeing heaven and earth with all created beings, listening to and attending to the needs of His people here on earth in several places all around the world if He could only process one or a few things at a time like the man He created? Imagine an electronic robot trying to understand the manufacturer's make up of flesh and blood, soul and spirit, but anyway its manufacturer (man) still has limitations. I wonder what spiritual advancement you can make as a person without the only true God who is the God of the spirits of all flesh. |

franklytrue:You'll only continue to make yourself look and feel stupîd if you continue quoting your story book (Bible). I know so much about that book already. It's very unreasonable to continue trying to prove a point using a reference that's one-sided. I don't believe in your story book. There are hundreds of it in this world. There are more than 2000 gods. Why should I believe in your story book? Why should I believe in your god? What makes your story book and god special from all other ones? Do you know sense at all? |
