Please mamas in the house that has done CS before. Can you share your experience? How long does it take to heal and all that. Please I would be going for an elective CS. I need to be prepared. Thank you
Well av gone through it twice so be rest assured you will be fine. Though there will be pains no doubt abt that but after 2 days that you are able to stand and walk around the pain will really subside. Within two weeks you won't feel any pain at all again at the site and within 6 weeks the wound should be healed but you still need to be careful not to do too much strenuous work and lifting of heavy things.
Talking from my own experience
Other mamas will share theirs
God will make it easy for you and God will work through the health workers that will work on you.
N.B don't panic and don't let fear set in.

It depends on one's nature
My tummy is not yet back to the normal flat tummy but I have a neighbor that has also gone thru the procedure twice. By the sixth week her tummy to back to the very flat tummy she had b4 getting married and she didn't do anything to it. She said she just take warm water ( no cold things for the 6 weeks) and little walks round the house.
For the post partum belt when you know that you no longer feel pain on the CS site you can give it one more additional week then u can start.

I met a woman today at the hospital. She gave birth recently through CS. She told me that the nurses told her not to take her bathe because of the scars not to get wet.

Consequently she has not taken her bathe for 18 days and I notice a very strong odur emanating from her body which is easily noticed by anyone around.

Pls is it true that bathing is forbiden because of the scars?

Monday Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come to you again with thanksgiving for another month gone by, we thank you for the successful deliveries and healthy babies of our September mothers, our smooth pregnancy journeys so far and for the promised supernatural deliveries for our October mothers. We cannot thank you enough!. We pray that you'd continue to protect us mothers, provide financial capabilities for the daddies/mummies doing this alone and grant good health to our babies and our older children you have placed in our care.
We commit our ATC mothers into your hands Lord, we ask that you wipe away their tears and bless them with that which they desire the most; the fruit of the womb. You have said none shall be barren in the land and we believe your word and we join them in anticipation of their testimonies.
We ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Hello Mamas, trust we’re all doing great?
Please Mamas with CS experience. Your input will be greatly appreciated to lift my spirit the more.

I had my CS on the 18th of last month and it was an emergency CS. I was discharged 3 days after and the site was covered again of which I was told to remove the plaster 2 days later and clean thrice daily with spirit and gauze.
The site was discharging fluid and I reported back to the hospital, the antibiotics was changed to a stronger one but still the fluid was coming out. I returned to the hospital on Friday and I was placed on admission, it happened to be that the site was infected so they had to loose the stitch and clean.
They placed me on injections for 3 days and the site is cleaned morning and evening with honey and eusol.
I haven’t stopped crying and feeling bad most especially cause of my DH. He has not rested since our initial admission till now. He’s been sleeping out in the cold in the hospital with us. He cooks and stays with us till late at night before going home to return yet again by morning.
Sometimes I ask myself what I did wrong. My mum hasn’t stopped worrying either. My BP started getting high again so I told myself I wouldn’t worry again. God has brought me this far and I know He wouldn’t leave me.
Please Mamas that have gone through this or has Knowlege about this, how long will all of these come to an end? Will I be sutured again? What am I to expect so I get prepared for it all?
Your input will really go a long way

Just to clear a misconception, the postpartum belt isn't to flatten your stomach...it just helps keep everything in by supporting your abdominal muscle cos they are weak after delivery..also helps with back pain. Its not supposed to be worn too tight like "waist trainers" so you can start wearing when you feel comfortable.
I didn't have a "scar" so my nurses put me in a postpartum belt the day after my CS.

But with exercise and clean eating my stomach went flat later.

Yes "baths"(soaking in a bathtub) are forbidden in the first weeks of delivery and while still bleeding.
But what we call baths in Nigeria are actually showers...so I'm not sure if its a miscommunication from the nurses or not.
While in the hospital and the stitches are still on, she's meant to clean up by just washing and drying the heat zones using a wash clothe and antibacterial soap. After stitches are removed she can shower with warm water but pat the incision area dry. The instruction is to keep the area dry..

2. Your husband will be fine.

Dats serious
Though one will be told that water should not touch the scar but not to the extent of not bathing for 18days.
Though for the second day after the surgery, I did bed bath. My mum was with me so for the third day she bath me with sponge from My v jay area down to my leg and we poured water, but for the upper part she bath me with moist sponge and soap not too watery and deep a small towel in warm water squeezed out the water and used it to clean my armpit, breast, tummy e.t.c so that water will not pour on the cs site. wen we got home I used big nylon to wrap myself round the cs site and hold it firmly them my mummy will bathe me from head to toe water running freely then clean with cotton wool and spirit afterwards.
