Just to state contrary to what the article pointed WFG don't have any product, they have agreement with over 200 financial institutions in North America, just as Uber doesn't have any cars but have partnership with several drivers.

Some of these financial institutions are the popular banks and investments company's in Canada and USA. Besides the business aspect (commission mentioned in the article), there is more to it. I work fulltime and do WFG parttime, and I joined because the financial knowledge I have gained cannot be quantified amongst other "benefits" it gives me as a "business owner" and like the article mentioned it is best when you know and understand the numbers yourself, understand the investment trends, understand the implication of having one kind of insurance over another, understanding tax sheltered or tax free investment, understanding anything that involves money in Canada. All these and many more I know because of the training I get.

Like I said there is more to it and due deligence would mean getting sincere feedbacks from those doing it, and sampling opinions.

If you need to know more, feel free to send me a message.

Cheers.

This article is quite balanced IMO[/quote]

Canada’s Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) will reopen to sponsors on Oct 13, 2020. PGP allows permanent residents or citizens who are 18 years & older to sponsor parents/grandparents for permanent residence (and they don’t need IELTS

Happy new year ... I saw your post about your Lautech transcript.. I finished from Lautech and I can give you a link to the woman directly in charge of transcript . I don’t know if dropping number here is right, and I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to put a persons private number on a thread.. I hope someone can tell me how I drop the number without affecting anyone ..

super visa is a visit visa that allows parents stay up to 2 years instead of the usual 6 months over a 10 year period. the other is permanent residency.

Good day people. I'm currently doing my ACCA CPA conversion, and I need to pay for the tax and law course. The process requires that I use international bank draft for payment. People that have gone through this process, pls how did you do it? Pls note I'm in Nigeria.

Hello Royalty 1,

Were you able to move to Canada through video editing? If yes, please how did you go about it.

Thank you

Hi,
I have moved to Canada, not as a photographer nor video editor but through the Express Entry program.

We used my wife as the primary applicant and I also used my other blue collar job to create a profile.

All the best.

Hello house,

I will be landing in January when I will be 5 months pregnant. What medical documents do I need to bring from Nigeria or will they conduct their own tests?
I just need someone to guide me through. Thanks.

Hi, I landed in march. You don't have to bring any documents, but if you have older children and can get their birth report/history from your doctor before coming, it'll help the OBGYN here.

I have said people should stop talking about Canada!

How many places have you been to in Ontario alone, which is 1.96 times bigger than Nigeria, talk less of Canada that is nine times bigger than Nigeria? That's like living in Oshodi or Lekki and using your experience there to generalize about West Africa.

This is not peculiar to Nigeria alone though. However, I agree with other points listed.
What I am trying to imply Sir is that, in Nigeria, merit is almost always placed at the back seat in some sensitive positions.

You can get the bank draft from a Nigerian bank, like GTB if you've a USD domiciliary account and courier it to CPA Canada. Another option is to get someone in Canada to pay for you or use vpn to change your location to Canada and make payment.

I applied as a single mum also

Below are what I provided:
1. My child bears her father's name on her Birth certificate. So I declared I was single on my applicant.
I got my baby daddy to sign a letter authorizing me to travel with my child (Letter of Consent). I also notarised this
2. I downloaded another consent form on the CIC site that her father filled and also signed and notarised
3. I attached his intl passport.
4. There's no harm in the childbearing your surname. U can put her father's name on the Birth Certificate
5. Try and be on good terms with him to get him to fill the above docs because it is highly necessary for this journey.

5. I wish her well and hope she gets to the promised land with her child

Good afternoon everyone, for single moms who have gone through this processor for people who have ideas about this. (1) A friend wants to try this express entry process but she Just gave birth recently and isn’t with the baby’s father( she’s single, not married) she wants to know how to go about it? She hasn’t collected her baby’s birth certificate yet and she wants to know if putting her surname on the certificate won’t have any issue with the immigration process concerning/asking about her baby’s dad??
(2) Will they ask for a consent letter from the child dad regardless of who’s surname is on the certificate? The guy isn’t in her life so she doesn’t want to even tell him anything about it, since it’s just her and her baby.
Pls so many responses will be appreciated

My father did the same thing for me, I've got my birth certificate ready, so after this procedure what is next? will I be migrating to Canada instantly?

Good day Seniors and all. I am happy to have gone through the last thread and this new one. You are indeed doing a great job. I can gladly say I am part of this thread now. I submitted my application since October 2019, glory to God, I got my PPR Jan 15, 2019 and my application has been approved too. I will be picking up my Passport from VFS this week. I intend to land in Calgary in MAY, 2019. Below are my profile and questions

- Single Applicant (Age: 33)

- Education (Bsc Geology, Msc. Petroleum Geology)

- Certification:
- Advanced Food Safety management training (A pre-arrival program sponsored by the Canadian government)
- CCNA & CCNP (Expired since 2012)
- Several Oil & Gas training courses

- Work experience.
- Current: Realtor/Real Estate agent (3 yrs)
- Previous: (Water Borehole Geologist (3 yrs)

(1) I understand I will need the APEGA licence to work and also that the oil & Gas sector of Alberta is quite down now, I would have loved to work in this sector. Has anyone gotten a job on landing as a Geologist without the licence?

(2) I also understand that I need a licence to practice in the Real Estate sector too. Has anyone gotten a job as a Realtor or Real Estate Agent with monthly pay (plus commission) in Calgary, If yes, how viable & financially rewarding is it? I wouldn't mind doing a short course for this if I can truly get a job quick in the sector. I also don't mind referrals

(3) I did the Pre-arrival Advanced food safety management training course (it is a 21- certificates course). Do we have anyone here working in the food processing industry, can I get a job on landing with this certificates.

(3) Lastly, I am open to new opportunities and don't mind changing career path as long as I can get a good job. If I am to do this. Which other paths and sectors can I explore that will be financially rewarding in the long run, which will also lead me to the managerial position someday. Pls note, I am ready to go back to school and do diploma course for this. I already checked out some courses in SAIT, but I need to know which one is really viable with huge job prospect.

- I am sorry for my long post, I would like inputs from our seniors living in Calgary. cc Salford1, Einsteino etc. Thanks

- Can someone Pls add me to the calagary whatsapp group. Thanks

Hello,
How are you doing please have you been added to the Calgary group yet?
I will like to also join as I am planning to land there.
Thanks

Hello house,

I have found this forum to be very informative and helpful.

Thanks to everyone here present for your various contributions.

However, I intend to commence this journey and I have this firm believe that it would be a smooth and fast one.

I intend for my wife to be the Primary Applicant being that she's got a B.Sc and M.Sc, she's under 30, we have two kids, and again, my elder brother is based in Canada as well and he's a citizen. She's to write the IELTS soon and we are hoping for the best as expected. With a good exam score, how many points are we looking at?

What are our chances? And again, do I have to write the IELTS exam myself?

Thanks in anticipation of your positive response(s).
