Do You Know Anyone That Have Inner Ear Vestibular Disorder? by vickertony(op): 12:55pm On Sep 23, 2020
Guys I need help....

Recently I was diagnosed with inner ear infections or inflammation.

I can't walk properly without the fear of losing my balance or falling.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Or you have an Idea someone that has experienced similar disorder..

How did they cure it ?
Been taking drugs given to me at the hospital, but still have that feeling of falling and lack of balance.

I feel dizzy as well..

Please I need suggestions.

How long have you had it, mine started last year August. I have spent so much money visiting the Teaching Hospital in my state so I just stop going to the hospital and praying for God's healing.

I take strugeron anytime I sense the dizzinesss but try as much as possible not to take it all time. I haven't taken it in one months. There are days I feel the dizziness but not intense.

I don't think it has a medical cure, you just have to manage it. I'm still going to try another ENT doctor very soon.

Today will make it, 3 weeks I've had it.
I've been to an ENT doctor and he diagnosed me with vestibular system disorder.
Prescribed some drugs including strugeron..... right now I don't get dizzy any more.
Just that I notice while walking....I tend to sway like I'm drunk..
Did random research online found stuff like vestibular neuritis....I think it's the stuff I'm suffering.
I have no hearing loss, no clicking sound in the ear.... just sudden imbalance..
I'm improving though, I'm sorry to hear your story.
God heal us soon, this stuff is so scary.

That's Vertigo.
If not caused by infection, it's called Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).
Go see and ENT

By the way how often do fly an Airplane?
What's your occupation like?
How often do you dive into the water?

Again, this is a 4 year old post.
It's either you would have gotten better or worse? And I want to believe you successfully Japa from the country as envisaged?

A four year post, Nairaland is becoming obsolete 🤦‍♂️

Vickertony how are you doing these days ? Better I hope
Re: Do You Know Anyone That Have Inner Ear Vestibular Disorder? by Domyresearch: 1:22pm On Oct 20, 2024
Don't waste your money.

Normally, they should give you Stugeron for balance, but check with your doctor.

Search for the Epley maneuver on YouTube and try it yourself. Do it once a day or thrice a week depending on what works for, but have someone with you to ensure you don’t fall. You should be back to normal in about a week. Note that after you do this, the dizziness will be worse, however in an an hour it will go down.

When you sleep, make sure your head is slightly elevated, around 45 degrees - so use a pillow. Sleep on the unaffected side, and you should feel better soon. Sorry to hear you're going through this."

What the fvck is that diagnosis grin

If there are no cardiovascular, metabolic or electrolyte derangements attributable to your balance problems then you could be having a problem with the vestibular apparatus in your inner ear or a cerebellar problem assuming your hearing is still intact.

If like you say there is dizziness, how long does the episode of dizziness last?
Is there ringing in your ears? do you have a sensation of ear fullness?, did you at any point come down with a respiratory infection in the past month? Is your hearing just fine?

Do you find problems with maintaining symmetry of facial expressions on both sides of your face?

Has anyone within your family come down with such?

if they tell you to pray to God ,you will not believe that he will heal you ,

it is your type that will believe in the doctor and peoples medication ,

so continue to be asking for help from people up and down ,

before you know it now, they will direct you to a w!tch doctor or their fellow deceivers that will finally destroy your life ,

instead of you to be begging God to heal you and believe in him ,

we love you
