It is not economically wise to be using a large chunk of the budget to service debts or recurrent expenditure. Neither is borrowing to fund the budget because debt servicing is not the same thing as debt payment.Mean- while, what is the govt appropriating N128billion to the NASS for? |

N128billion for NASS taking over 20% of the salary already..... Allow civil servants to engage in economic development by engaging in many other business while working.... Let civil servants operate on shifting and timing.....so we could rotate our economy to night shift to enable our economy to boom at night as people on forex will explain that there's alot of weakness on dollar at night.... |

Quadrupling the price of everything fg paying for. Over spending for unnecessary leisure to high level government officials. Procurement of vehicles for any project. Are the blood, bones and veins of corruption in Nigeria. These are what politicians, directors are feeding fat on. |

Racoon:128billion is not supposed to be for them to pocket but use it for constituencies projects. Sometimes it's the responsibility of the people to make their representatives account for that money. People are to blame for cowardice or ignorance if they failed to do their part. |

This budget shows that Salary earners are in for a torrid time. Debt and interest payments has chop large chunks of the budget. Recurrent expenditure will bite hard into the budget. The FG trimmed the workforce through IPPIS and saved billions but still went through the back door and hired their cronies into the system thereby making a mess of everything. In summary, Start a biz or leave this country. Nigeria is in for the worst |

![]() Nigeria can't work this way We need to reduce the size of this government !! Cut legislative salaries and make them just allowances , after all it's meant to be public service and not a career right? Buhari is very insincere and corrupt otherwise you don't need to give Nigeria 24 hrs power supply before people know you are doing the right thing. Let him start from the smallest things like reducing cost of governance then people will take him seriously |

2by40ft:There should be a sensitization towards the masses on this. Also the law must make it doable to prosecute any serving senator who misappropriates his constituency allocations. So that they can sit up and assist local governments to develop the grassroots Nigerian. |

Madness alert! One day these northern oligarchs and their southern slave collaborators would leave this country in penury. They keep wasting money on senseless projects, census , monitoring radio frequencies , pest control/ pesticides and the likes. I swear on the new and old gods that a bloody revolution is around the corner. When it happens the masses would unleash great terror on the political elites. |

A country where so-called literates votes in an illiterate to preside over them will definitely be in trouble. Until we start voting in the right people in the right places and make it a national culture, we will keep turning round in circles, and going one step forward and two step backwards in this country. With the population of educated intellectuals in this country, it's unfortunate that these set of leaders are the best we can come up with. |

The fact it is apportioned does not imply that it would be exercised there..... It should be rephrased that 52.6% would be looted... |
