If the body is still in good shape, go for half engine..

What determines a brand new generator and a used one is just the engine.

The coil never die unless it cuts but if it is still giving out power...change to 17k or 18k new half engine.

I've been unable to start my Gen... At first it started for 3 seconds before stopping and since then, I've been trying to get it to work to no avail.

The gen is barely 4 months.
Plus the gen is yet to work for 24 since I got it.

My gen is refusing to stay on when it starts. starting it is a struggle, i have cleaned the plug, there is oil in the gen but it still refuses to stay on after starting. its a fairly new firman gen about 4 months so i dont expect all these stress. what other reasons can there be for the gen not starting??
the sound it is giving is like that of the choke being turned off and it just goes off less than 1 minute after starting

Depends on your location which I may not know some of the distributors..

But 3.5k sumec brand is sold at 100k or sb.

Thermacool is more expensive.
But other brands are cheaper

The following may be the cause..

A. Check whether the oil is enough because it may be the oil alert is at work.

B. check whether the carburator is dropping fuel which means that it is over flowing due to dirts from your fuel.

C. The valve needs to be set...it doesn't matter whether an engine is new..if the valve or top as they called it is not properly set, it won't start.

Lastly it may be your plug but since it starts...the likelihood may not be that great

hello I did a general servicing on my 7months old generator. before I begin I start the generator 5 times. and each of the time it start at once and run smoothly.

I did a fuel washing.

1. removed the tank and wash inside and outside it.
2. wash the whole generator engine body from dirty and dust.
3. I wash the air filter and housing
4. I bring out the carburator and wash it ourwardly.
5. I lose the caburator down cover leak the fuel and rinse with fuel. air blow every part of it.

when I put back everything and start the generator it starts and work like something that's cut of fuel and off within 30 seconds.

I bring out the carburator more than 4 times to check what I am not doing right and put back. the problem persist. I couldn't bear it anymore. I went to the market to buy new carburetor and that fix it. it work now but this caburator consume more fuel compared to the previous one. this one is Chinese caburator and the old one is Japanese.

I would really like to put back the old one. is there any help. please. where can I get a carburetor cleaner?

But all the same... tighten the carburator to reduce fuel consumption...it happens to any type of carburator..

I know all this screws and thier meaning. I have tighten the fuel screw. then lows flat completely the acceleration nut. and the black scrow minimum. it still use more to the former. the former was working fine before I removed it.

only if I can get a carburetor spray cleaser to service it properly. mabe it would come back Alice strong.

Just ignore the model number , use the size of the engine to determine the capacity and also look at the output at the manuel

It is not the block that is the issue..

That is a device known as Injector valve or sth...is located on top of the area meant for oil...with four nuts ..

Once there is a dirts on it , the engine will be going off after 5mins.

Tell your engineer to clean it with Injector cleaner
