Greetings to House. I’d appreciate if someone can help with a doubt I have and it goes as follows:

Brief Background:

I got ITA sometime in August (with score of 477 and my spouse as unaccompanying). While trying to gather our documents, the minimum CRS cutoff dropped to 472, which will be sufficient to enable me apply with my spouse. She has taken IeLtS and WES is currently pending - Reviewing evaluation and they’ve acknowledged receipt of her documents. Our plan is to decline my current ITA, and switch my spouse from unaccompanying to accompanying.

Question:

am I able to proceed as planned? considering that my spouse’s result evaluation with WES is still pending. Would I be asked for any information, such as ECA ID or something like at the point of doing the switch. We were hoping to do this before next week’s draw (fingers crossed).

Thank you in anticipation! wink
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by ShoeShineGuy: 1:01am On Oct 10, 2020
coolWhen you wanted to claim points for you education, you must have filled in the ECA number of you academic qualification as assessed by WES or their likes. Same applies to your spouse, you need that ECA number WES will issue alongside her report to claim those points (from her education) too. So as you can see, there's no way round this than to wait till her report is ready, if you must change back to spouse accompanying!

Thanks for your response. I didn’t have to do my evaluation with WES becos I schooled in Canada.

Although i saw a friend's ECA report and noticed that it was very similar to his reference number from WES with 'IMM' added after the reference. I kinda assumed that my spouse's would be of similar format and i could use that in the interim (i.e. reference number + IMM). Except i am mistaken (reason for my doubt) and the eCA number is totally different or not always similar to the said format.

Kindly help confirm the bolded text

Good evening everyone. Been following the EE threads actively since part 9. I have a few queries though directed mostly to medical doctors who are currently in the process or have scaled through.
1. When creating an account on physiciansapply, which surname do I use because my MBBS Cert bears my maiden name while my passport bears my new surname bearing in mind svr to my school later?

2. I have read the post by drcynthia, sometime in 2019. Do we still need to notarize our MBBS cert copy and copy of our passport before sending? Can any notary public serve abi the specific ones listed in one of the sister threads?

3. Do we still send our packages via courier to MCC or are there better ways now especially via soft copies? Also, pay for courier for delivery of ECA to Nigeria?

4. Just to confirm, Since most of our medical colleges are located in campuses different from the main campus site (mine for one is), the svr should be to our medical school right?

Thank you in anticipation

Shadama answered all your questions smiley

It's a good time to verify your credentials because it's mostly online and the long wait isn't there anymore. Once your ECA is ready, they send you the softcopy and also the hard copy to the address you put. Canada address or Nigerian address. For the Nigerian address, you may decide to pay for courier so it will be fast. Otherwise they send it via normal mail to you.
People still received ECA via Canada address last week.

SVR is your medical school
You will see the option there. E.g University of benin college of health sciences

Young man, I would say "calm down" and get everything right. If her WES is at the stage of evaluation - I want to guess from experience that within 2 weeks, all should be done and ECA issued. If you score is in the range of "470ish" with spouse accompanying, then nothing to worry. ITA will surely come soon. Even those on 468 have strong faith.

Don't assume REF number in my opinion. This journey requires patience.

The bolded is correct. But you'll still be needing the date the ECA report was issued. And you can't pick a future guesstimate because there will be no future dates provided when filling a profile for Express Entry.

have you been able to get clarification?

Mr. Isha, Isaacola57 has told you what to do. Please evaluate your diploma and Bsc with Wes, it will be evaluated positively as two or more certificates. Just yesterday two of my friends who has had their diploma merged with their bachelors in previous evaluation got their positive evaluation after I encouraged them to try again. Isaac also did the same thing. I don't know why you decided to be a doubting Thomas. Go and evaluate your certificate jare.

can you tell me how you sent your certificate to Wes?
did you send only your bsc certificate and
did the school send overall transcript to them or they sent diploma transcript separately?
I'm asking because we seem to be in the same situation
I need someone that did jupeb and direct entry to answer this
thanks. in advance

ECA - $111 CAD
My bank charged N312 per $ for the 1st two and then N290 per $ for the ECA which I ordered 1 week ago. Approx N180k altogether

Oh well, as you said, WES follows a regular/predictable format when it comes to the ECA number generated for an assessment but the date of issue might not be as predictable, and that might be an issue if an overzealous VO handled your file. All said, it's still your decision to make.
