The ongoing #EndSars protest has hit Jos, the Plateau State Capital.

The protest, Organized by Hwolshe youths, a community who lost one of its own, Late Rinji Peter Bala alias Bobo, a 20-year-old man who was shot by men of the Operation Safe Haven in the state, started from The Old Airport Junction, where the protesters matched to the Plateau State House Of Assembly, but not without making stops at NTA Jos to display their displeasure.

The Youths can be seen carrying placards with End Sars written boldly on it, with some putting on T-Shirts in remembrance of Mr. Rinji who was killed on the 13th of May, 2020 for being outside his house 15 minutes before the Lockdown Curfew in the state began.

Plateau State is the first state in the North to join the protest which has been ongoing for the last 3 days and has attracted foreign media attention as it was reported by CNN this morning.

it's so crystal clear now as it can be seen by the blind and heard by the deaf that this #EndSARS movement is a pain of every Nigerian. The least response that can be at all acceptable from the gov't is to abolish the tactical unit and to abrogate it without trace. Cyber and financial crimes should be combated by EFCC.


If you're clamouring for reform SARS then it means you are undoubtedly and hopelessly unknowledgeable about burning issues.

My Ebonyi people are too backward and stupid. Around last year some set of stupid SARS guys harassed me at Abakaliki town and I give it back to them sha. All other states are busying with their placards to #ENDSARS and #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY rather Ebonyians are on their normal day to day activities without care., majority of them are in Native delicacy, vista lounge and exclusive lounge drinking beers at the expense of their people. What y'all need to understand is that there are police and SARS Officers here on nairaland reading these threads and they are mostly the ones jumping to the defense of SARS excesses saying that they are after yahoo boys and cyber fraud is on the increase (as if they posses the power to go after yahoo boys) but they do it in a way that doesn't seem blatant But if you read in between lines you'll see that they are calling for reform which they know will definitely be nonexistent. That's why I'm not surprised when I see some stupid and insensitive comments here. Afterall, no one would sit idly by and watch the source of their livelihood being taken
