I believe the problem with Nigeria police started with recruitment. Due diligence is needed for this kind of jobs. Policemen, armies,custom officers ,etc are as important as studying medicine in the schemes of things. Chaffs shouldn't be found near these jobs but in Nigeria,it doesn't work that way.

All that Nigerians are asking is that SARS be directed to doing what they where created for which is arresting robbers, and other violent criminals which they have not been doing or be disbanded. Can't you see, robberies, killings, herdsmen, banditry everywhere?

Leave EFCC, ICPC and the police cyber crime unit to tackle yahoo boys. EFCC has been doing well in that regards and no one has complained about them profiling innocent people or killing anyone.

Then why are they clamouring 4 endsars as if govt will end it. sars can only be reformed it can never be scrapped.

We have the police, let the FG invest more in police and internal security then we shall enjoy a well improved service.

Investment should go into quality training (which must be periodical), proper orientation, intelligence gathering and up-to-date gadgets/equipment.

Adequate welfare package should also be considered as our police are way underpaid.

Foreign experts can be hired to help with training if the FG feels our homebase trainers are analogy.

To me SARS Isn't the only problem. Police needs to be reformed too. They also do stop and search.
In America, the only way police can stop your car is if you drive recklessly. But in Nigeria even though you're driving peacefully they will still stop you.

Nigerian Police: Off your engine.
Nigerian Police: Show me your papers and driver's licence.
Nigerian Police: Who has this car?
Nigerian Police: What do you for a living to afford this car?

SARS kicked themselves out of the hearts of Nigerians... There is no excuse for indiscipline in a police force.

They should scrap them, and go back to the drawing board... Besides, a tactical unit doesn't require publicity, or pointless patrols and exposure. They are supposed to even stay in the shadows for effectiveness.

Research developed nations, and see why SARS has got to go.
